[Datalog:] [Datalog: 0000062//Designation: TK-671//:Assignment: Man Tractor Beam 7, Imperial-II Class Avenger] Almost two months since I've joined the Empire. Things aren't as bad as they made it out to be back home. They drop you somewhere, you keep a record of whatever you're doing, you do whatever they say. It's like any other job. My assignment on Cloud City....did not go well. I may have...accidentally, well....[REDACTED] but I swear it wasn't me that spilled it, no matter what recordings they have of it! In any case, I'm back on the Avenger and awaiting my next assignment. I get to man one of the tractor beams. I realized pretty early on I was going to be the only person down here, so I thought I'd move some my stuff in. Technically we aren't strictly allowed to really OWN stuff, but, well, TK-584 is pretty good at getting things snuck around on-board...he says he knows a guy who knows a guy. I think it's TK-389, personally, but whatever. Having my stuff with me is a pretty helpful reminder that I'm not just a faceless soldier. None of us are. Damn Rebels like to think we're all the same. I mean, SOME of us are, but I haven't run into any of those old clones yet. So far I've got my old holoprojector (Twi'leks haven't changed at all.), some of those aurvivienne plants from back home, and a bunch of other stuff too. Plus, TK-703 manages to get us all some Corellien Brandy once in a while. Oh. And I've got Warren's helmet. Apparently his little stint with the Rebels was even shorter than I thought. Why are all my old friends just suicidal? The Empire isn't the kind of enemy that gets beat..it's only a matter of time until we finally crush the Alliance and bring some well-needed peace to everyone in the galaxy. This may not exactly be the kind of stuff I expected to do once I graduated the Academy, but if it's going to that same cause, I'd go on tauntaun clean-up duty again. (I really wouldn't, though.) I oughta get back to work now. I'm still trying to figure out what this 'Safety: On' switch for the tractor beam does. Of course it's safe, it's a tractor beam, not a laser cannon. Who designed these ships? I'd like this to be judged. Here's the edited shot.

'Darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time. Stars wheeled overhead, and every day was long as a life age of the earth. But it was not the end. I felt life in me again. I have been sent back, until my task is done.'
-
It wasn't suitable for Arasmyth only, but it was originally meant as a Mead more than a Nostrum.

Which is more likely, that Zepher would pointlessly reincarnate one of his characters to take on a completely different identity and name, or that he used a similar fig combination for an old man? Zepher, he who kills beloved NPCs for sport.

Face and hair, but Gray had a beard and a more complex staff.

My laziness in building sets is matched only by how much photoshopping I do to hide it.

Maurice is too distracted by this news to heal the poor elf. Guts gets up and inhales some salts, but is barely able to avoid the Abomination stumbling in his direction. Maybe he busted a hip or something. Hybros glides through the crowd, cutting through a trio of throats as the assassin passes. Rian stews up some more gold and heals Maurive as Red leaves a cut on one of the chemists. Another cannoneer joins the battle. Enemies Crimson Crown Apostle "Hah. Unworthy fools. What, the ones that're all writhing around in poisoned agony? Yes, they're totally in the mood for an idle conversation. I did say it'd be a short Quest. We're roughly halfway done now.
-
No, it's definitely an achievement, you land a Special Damage once a blue moon every other Leap Year, you homicidal, drugged-up maniac. Only reason you guys aren't utterly decimating your enemies is because you didn't buff yourselves beforehand.

Quest 69 First off.....I'm super, super, super sorry about how long that took. Whether you enjoyed it or not, I was completely off with how long I thought the Quest would take, thus is ended up lasting over four months and is now the third most replied-to Quest of all time. The reason, though, is pretty obvious to me. You guys did literally every single thing there was to do in the Inn of the Winking Gargoyle and spent a lot of time going for extra loot in the Sewers. That, with the significantly long last three battles, contributed towards the pretty insane length. Anyway...the plot twist. The context of everything was a complete lie, but you did as you were told, and found the right assassin. All the evidence, the whole story about Rorik, more or less everything involving Sofia was invented. She left clues that hinted strongly at Blue Assassin involvement in the room in the hopes that you would kill the assassin that's been hunting her down due to her deep involvement with the Order of the Crimson Crown. It both solves the problem of the assassin, plus due to events back in Quest 11, the Order has a strong dislike of Heroica, so what better way to humiliate them than tricking them into doing their work for them? There were a ton of side routes and extra stuff you could do, and you did pretty much all of it. The demon fight, the spider fight, Dragon Dan fight...all optional. The only one fight you didn't do was fighting Natnail in the bar. His mechanics were very similar to Zasies'. Both his fight and the demon hunt had drastic effects on the final battle. If you didn't help Soryx, he wouldn't've been in the bar when the Crimson Crown attacked, and both Boris and Quillian would've been killed. If you fought Natnail earlier, he would've joined their fight to try and get some revenge. I hope you all liked the NPCs. It's pretty clear to me now that character design/interaction is one of my favorite parts of hosting and you guys really helped me realize that by talking to almost every single one. Soryx has become a personal favorite of mine. So, some extra stuff... -Soryx was originally going to be a Black Knight, but then the Shield changed to something less suited to him, I got a Black Knight on the Quest already, so I changed him to a Hunter at the last minute. -I had some sort of idea to keep the Magpie NPCs out of the Bonaparte fight but I forgot what it was. So you ended up with like three or four of them helping you out in that battle. -Wally would've followed you into the Sewer Wolf fight if you'd have asked him. I think I meant him to ask you at some point. -You guys spent like a week shopping at Shelby's. I guess that means you really wanted my items, huh? -HerrJJ's saving of Big Red led me to have Little Red show up as a major NPC in Quest 82. I almost made a new character but then realized how much she looked like Little Red, so one thing led to another...I almost had Big Red there too, but I thought I'd make it more interesting by leaving him out. -I think the die I used rolling the last battle growled at me. -I'm never doing another maze again. Pretzel (Palathadric) - I'm super glad I picked you as the party leader. You were always active and in my opinion had some of the best roleplaying moments, getting along very well with Soryx and the Baron. But good god man, when I tell you to DIVIDE the loot, DIVIDE the damn loot!!! It'll be much less of a headache for both you, your party, and most importantly, your QM. I loved his constant debating with himself about Dreyrugr, too. Dreyrugr (Vash the Stampede) - I like Dreyrugr. He's undead, he's being constantly hated on by the party leader, and yet he doesn't fall into any sort of depression or just explode. He remains cool and is just always moving forward to the goal. He'd make an awesome Assassin, but he works great as a Black Knight too. And whether Pretzel believes it or not, he's probably one of the most level-headed heroes period. Nessa (HerrJJ) - I'm really glad I got to have Nessa. Her schizo tendencies don't often get in the way of the fact that she's actually a pretty nice person as far as heroes go. Her saving Big Red was probably the best roleplaying moment in any of my Quests thus far. Even if it wasn't monumentally huge or epic a moment, it just goes to show that some heroes actually seem to care that NPCs have lives. She was also an offensive machine in the battles. Erik (Myrddyn) - Erik's also pretty calm and collected, and he and Dreyrugr were both pretty creative in the Blue Assassin battle. He's not your typical barbarian, he doesn't seem to get angry or go into battle frenzies very often, but, well, there's a reason he's got the Peacekeeper's Totem. He's one of the most realistic and consistent characters, and pretty good at the investigation early on. Sylph (DLL) - It's Sylph. He's quiet but idealistic, nature-loving but utterly gray. He's such a strange contradictory character, and that's why he's cool. He seem pretty bored with the NPCs - they're not as colorful as Proggs, I know - but I loved his sudden defense of the Sewer Spider. I didn't see it coming, though maybe I should have. He's a great character, and a great strategist as well. I enjoyed having you.

I generally don't encourage the use of OHKO specials. But, well, ya' know. Guts. Yeah, someone talk to the three witches already!!
-
Oh come on, I consider knocking out Guts a milestone for all QMs.
-
Yeah, I think it's best if this one's left up to the QMs to specify. Not in that particular instance. Notice Elite Hit used the additional gold he stole from Maurice to add to the damage dealt.
-
Because then I'll have to remind Docken that a Regulator's Shield ignores row and defense.
-
And Guts get trashed.
-
Round Two of Seeing Red Maurice vs. Chemist B (Manta Tail Staff) - Damage (25 - 13 = 12 damage) >Thalion uses Nostrum on himself - (Thalion hastened) >Thalion vs. Acolyte Elite A (Darkness) - Damage Greater Spell (46 x 2 = 92 damage, -1 ether) >Guts uses Smelling Salts on Maurice - (Maurice no longer slowed) >Guts vs. Abomination (Lifestealer) - Special Damage: Beatdown (Guts KO'd, all heroes afraid, Abomination stunned) >Hybros vs. Sicarii A (Eye-Poking Sai) - Lethal Hit Lethal Hit (36/2 = 18 damage, Sicarii A blinded) >Hybros vs. Sicarii B (Eye-Poking Sai) - Lethal Aim Lethal Hit (36/2 = 18 damage, Sicarii B blinded) >Red vs. Chemist A (TNS Dagger) - Shield: Mug (40/2 = 20 damage) >Rian vs. Acolyte Elite B (Dagger) - Chrysopeia (Rian gains 5 gold) >Wally vs. Apostle (Wrench) - Damage (50/2 = 25 damage, Wally badly poisoned) Chemist C uses free hit on Maurice - (25 - 13 = 12 damage) Rian poisoned - (1 damage) Wally badly poisoned - (10 damage, Wally KO'd) Crimson Crown Apostle calls Crimson Crown Chemist D to battle The Crimson Crown won't go down easy. Two of the chemists gang up on Maurice, slashing furiously. Thalion continues flinging darkness spells, and Hybros jams his sai into each sicarii's eye. All pretty awesome, as per your usual quality of building. Reasonably priced and sized, and more than well designed. I'd snap these up in a minute. I especially love all the little details of the Auriga.
-
Yep.

I'll assume White Cloak, I guess.
