  1. Could just change 'if all heroes are already encouraged' to 'if all heroes already have an offensive positive effect'.
  2. It's pretty straightforward. The ones that make the hero deal more damage are offensive. The others are defensive, which would include Transcended. Trial isn't a positive effect. If it is, then it'd be your call. There'd be a certain amount left up to QM interpretation like that, but it would balance things a lot more easily. Alternatively just re-label defensive as 'support'.
  3. I was intending it on remaining secret. I didn't think anyone would call out the Plague Doctor on attacking the 'defenseless man' who poisoned an entire crowd of random people and stood motionless as the heroes fought two battles. I could make him Mechanic again, but I'd also have to put the exploding Special Damage back in too.
  4. I disagree. You just divide positive effects into offensive and defensive, and limit heroes to having only one of each. What's complicated about it?
  5. He can't use it, though. Maybe I could ask for his shield and run around absorbing all attacks with 30 SP.
  6. Just occurred to me. Docken's single purpose is already fulfilled with Atramor in the party of Quest 85. What in the world is he going to be doing while Atramor is tanking with the Pheles Rod?
  7. That's actually a pretty interesting idea, swils.
  8. I dunno about that I thought undead were immune to disease too...
  9. Tarn's insatiable lust is going to get him killed one of these days, mark my words.
  10. "You're mistakin' the ape who can read for yourself," remarks Atramor idly from his nearby table, rolling his eyes.
  11. The Plague Doctor spins each sceptre in his hand, dropping down from the stage in front of the party. The pink visible behind the eyeholes of his mask glows. "So be it, then." 12. I think a minor price increase would help. Nostrums should be the most expensive, in my opinion. But I don't think dropping them entirely from the Marketplace is a good idea.
  13. There was no reason for it to be, plenty of heroes signed up.
  14. Atramor glanced up at the Quest board to see his name among those chosen for Quest 85, along with four others. Nyx, one of few heroes he could really trust, Docken, strange as all hell but seemed to know what he was doing, Namyrra, who'd he run into once before, and, to his surprise, Byblos. Since when did librarians become demon slayers? He could think of at least three others he'd rather have along. Even Althior could at least be useful. He grumbled and shook his head, taking another sip of his drink. McCafferey landed on his shoulder not long after. "Back so soon?" She ruffled her feathers and did not reply, pecking a few food crumbs off his table.
  15. Awesome. Fabuland builds are always interesting, and the layouts tend to be very unique. This one is no different. I love the rocket, it even fits with the Fabuland style with its 50s sci-fi vibe. The tea house and Maurice's place are also really nice, the latter reminds me a lot of Bag End.
  16. They restricted the gallery to staff at some point to prevent it being overloaded with pictures. Possibly around the time one of the CMF reviews crashed the website for a while. In any case it never really did serve a purpose, you could achieve the same thing with Flickr or Brickshelf.
  17. They would be sorely missed. I'm gonna go measure the General's quarters and see if my stuff fits in there.
  18. Computers estimate a 16.7% drop in personnel aboard the ship on his next visit, General.
  19. Congrats to the winners. That aren't Rebel scum. Nah, they deserved to win. Those were some seriously awesome MOCs.
  20. "I was after their formulas, not the mixtures themselves. Business I can understand. Witholding life-saving cures and selling them in mere doses at a time for hundreds is evil - an evil I intend to destroy. And it sounds as if you believe the Guild exists for any reason but profit. The Crimson Crown sounds more the organization for you, friend. The Guild evicted me for selling secrets. The punishment was purely for practicing the magic of healing. I can't conjure so much as a flicker of flame, but it didn't stop them. They don't care about the physical dangers of magic, only that they're a threat to their business." "And do not make the mistake of thinking if you choose to fight me it will be an easy task. I am willing to meet death for my cause, but only after fighting to it."
  21. Red looked up from her sudden bout of scribbling onto a spare sheet of parchment at the cruel ring of the Sword of Ancestral Hatred being unsheathed. "...This is your fight, of course, but, er, me and Wally are gonna be staying out of it." "Yeah, same here...this guy is creeping the hell out of me..."
  22. Yeah, that was him.
  23. "This is not revenge. I was doing this long before the Guild punished and removed me - it's the entire reason I was inside in the first place. Unlike you, I have seen the truth of the Guild. Besides their greed, they've conducted experiments. Created horrors worse than the Abomination. Evils I cannot begin to describe. Everything I have done has been to save lives. I can at least die knowing that much."
  24. Hope the Plague Doctor isn't coming across as too much of a joke. I knew from the minute I took this party on, there was no way they were letting him go, but I at least hope he's not coming across as just a homicidal idiot.
  25. "I'm realistic, little one. I don't fool myself into believing I can fix the greed of the world, it is ever-present. The least I can do is it rid it of the Guild, who would turn a profit on the suffering of the rich and a blind eye to the suffering of the poor. Some will die on this path. I have no doubt in my mind that on my road to fate, innocence is but a dream. But by exposing the secrets of the Guild countless more can be saved for years to come. Cures to the incurable. Life to the lifeless. Hope to the hopeless. My path will not be easy or peaceful, nobody who wants to make a difference in this world's is. Pain is unavoidable for everyone, neither physical nor mental. If I must hurt but a few to save a hundredfold more, so be it." The Plague Doctor's gaze hardened on Thalion. "You think your organization's cause is wholly more noble than mine, and that you have more right to deliver justice as you see fit? You're more ignorant than I believed, Master Elf."
