I am not going to call this China man a liar but...

No, I'm amused by this irony too. And yes, new title seems in order. well, he was amusing at first...but like any old joke it has become more of a pain than relief. i like to think if we ignore him, he'll either go away or stop. *sad* -
i know...let's all ask lego to re-release 6080 as a legend set!!! unless they already done so. in that case can we request for a third release? :-P i like to collect some castle sets too...i just got myself a copy of 10176 after seeing all the hype about discontinued castle sets. seems like they may be a good investment too besides star wars lego. :-)

i work in nyc...but i live in the suburbs to save myself some grief. :-P i thought toronto has a very good grid. can't you take the subway or the bus loops to get to downtown? anyway, i'm digressing here, so i guess i better stop. *sweet* plus you're probably one of 'em rich folks vs middle class for me. :-)

well, i didnt get it from lego s@h. amazon also has it and it also ships for free. thanks for the opinion. wished there was a review i can see though. ;-)

in the words of the president..."dubya" tee efffff...$18 for a movie?! what theater did you go to? one lined with golden trimmings? even CAD that's pretty ridiculous. just get the dvd mate and save yourself some money. and why pay for parking? it's not like canada has a shortage of land. i guess some of that goes to the medical and welfare system...

Hi - i have been scouring the entire forum for a review on the above set. i wanna make use of the current lego offer on free shipping and order some hard to find sets (not sold in my tru, target, walmart, kmart stores). i was thinking of getting this one for my boy who was very eager to get this set. just wanted to read the opinion of others who have gotten this set before i order. if someone can point me in the right direction...that would be great.

but that doesn't cost $60 *wacko* it's not $60. the set is $40. in my state, kid's ticket cost $6, adult $7. 2 kids, 1 adult = $19. popcorn + drink = $10. that's $29. parking is free though. so....maybe he exaggerated slightly but definitely within the realm of possibility. 8-| unless you go for 2x large popcorn and large drink which adds another $10 to the total. so it's quite possible...

well the rational explanation is that these sets (including spongebob) are north america only (or at least for 2007). so you wont find them on amazon.de just yet. we'll probably hear more of them when the news eventually leak out. sorry if i am stating what was obvious to everyone... *wacko* *sweet* -
um, do you have comic strips versions? i like reading strips instead of viewing a video. it helps when i'm at work since i can toggle the screens and come back later if i have to. ;-)

sounds fun! i'm in... >:-) you mentioned decals and stickers...do you allow paint jobs? :-P

i dunno man. to me, sharks and mantarays are much larger than that. horses i can see being one-piece. but did you know in the very first castle set the horses were actually made from bricks? only later did they change that to one-piece horse. now, sharks, mantarays, crocodiles and dinasours (from the jurassic park series not the dino attack ones) shouldn't be one-piece units. reason is because they are much much larger than that. it just strikes me as odd...a big great white shark is like huge. no, humongous! 30-40 feet, a few ton creature. how can that one piece dingy thing be called a great white? it should be like the length of the viking ship. *wacko* sorry if you don't share my views. :-P but we dont all have to agree you know. ;-) -
well, the set 4888 underwater odessey was a success i think (since it was sold out)...so if the designers are the same maybe we will see good models being churned out for 2007. as a comparison, wild hunters and building bonanza are still on the shelf...my take is that 4888 was much better than the others. (the opposite can also be true...ie, 4888 was so sucky they discontinued it).

if so, please no junior one-piece shark nor one-piece manta ray. *wacko* sticking to star wars and exo force...hehehehe. -
hmmm, i dont think that is correct. here's my guess: cyclone defender = upgraded gate defender claw crusher = upgraded sentry 2 blade titan = upgraded grand titan sky guardian = upgraded stealth hunter shadow crawler = upgraded thunder fury iron condor = upgraded fire vulture iron condor sounds too much alike to fire vulture than stealth hunter. sky guardian is more like hikaru's mech.

i agree. all the robot's mechs are ridiculously vulnerable. definitely needed some modding to fix.

I saw you mentioned MISB and MIB, to me they have always meant the same thing. what exactly is the difference besides the addition of the word "sealed"?

after reading this thread, i went and took a closer look at some of my minifigs. to my surprised i noticed the legs from my takeshi mf was "translucent" compared to the torso and to the helmet. i got the helmet from bricklink (from an older set). the helmet was darker than the torso, which in turn was darker than the legs. the legs already has a thin crack line eventhough it was "new". is it witch hunt or is the difference real? *wacko* *wacko* i guess i will never know since my views are biased since reading this...

sounds like a great set. you convinced me to take a closer look when i visit the toy store. ;-)

hello...i'm not a knight's fan so i may not know much...but was wondering why the hatred towards kk1? i thought the king leo sets were alright? it's the kk2 that you hate, no? kk1 is the only line where you can get the broad brim castle helmet (apart from the recent chest set which comes in blue...yuck!). there's also the pointed visors you all loved. and the dragon knights helmet. so in all i thought it was a great theme which is why they came up with the new "special" release set 10176. am i way left field here?

the hollow stud is a new design to prevent kids choking in case of accidentally swallowing the piece. it's deliberately made so instead of a manufacturing flaw that it looks like [e].

did they say 14 sets this year? does that include the promotional sets or not? i was thinking...3 promotional sets plus the 13 we know = 16. but 2 sets were special edition, so maybe not included in the earlier press release? so that's 14 sets. but then the promotional sets were not sold at all. so... :-/ :-| maybe i think too much. :-P anyway, since i like to dress my EF mfs in matching helmets, i'm glad i ebayed 8877. just gotta slap on some trans-black or the trans-color visors which match their hair color, ie trans-light blue and trans-green and.... :-P crap... there is no trans-purple visor. *sing* ARGH!

well, simple explanation would be hayato didn't get any because he was a cowardly chicken who stayed behind to guard the "gate" while the others went and battle the robots in their own turf. well, i think hikaru will get a new dark blue mech, takeshi a new dark red mech and ryo a dark green. hence those colors. hayato like we know is a coward and he already get the white lightning so no change to his current white uniform. :-P that's all speculation so who knows? *wacko* until the 2007 pictures leak out in september i guess...

indeed. i'm very impressed with singapore. any country that can move from third world to first world in one generation ought to be good. i remember back when i was a young kid, japan was synonymous with inferior goods. i like to see anyone make that statement now. japanese goods are the most reliable, high quality goods...just compare the cars. *wacko* japan moved from third world after ww2 (or 1945) to first world in 1980s or within 50years. singapore equally moved from independence (1968?) to first world in 2000s. *y*
