VERY small indeed... But it seems that the Earth Troopers will have the ADU/SP3 helmet! In orange!

I know, I myself am not a native English speaker. That post was not meant to berate the OP, but rather so he could better his english! After all, if we don't recognize our mistakes, we will never learn, will we?

Sorry to be a such a Grammar Nazi *puts on armband* but your review has some spelling mistakes. I guess you're not a native English speaker, so don't take this the wrong way, but rather as an opportunity to learn! "It was very great set for my, becaus it was my first." - It should be: "It was A very great set for ME, BECAUSE it was my first." Also, pieces not "peaces". A piece is a part, peace is the absence of war. Anyway, a very good review nonetheless! Thanks for sharing!

I will only say this: it can't get any worse than the Prequel Triology... A triology more worthy of a reboot, I have never seen!
-
Don't take this the wrong way, but I hope we will be able to do so! :p

Wow, fantastic model! It actually resembles what a real manned interplanetary spacecraft might look like! Kudos to you! Especially for the details: the trusses, the fuel/oxidizer tanks, the solar panels, the communications arrays... All brilliant!!! A shame that it wouldn't hold together IRL, but an awesome design nonetheless!!!

Is it just me or those... growths on the back of the minifigs look an awfull lot like those plastic buttons used in pajamas?

More like "Hypersonic WE'RE GONNA F***ING SHOOT YOU!!!!! Aircraft"! Jeez, 6 black and 16(!) white gun pieces! Someone sure was in a trigger happy mood when they designed this set... EDIT: w00t! 150th post!

Is it just me or is LEGO doing a lot of military sets disguised as civilian ones? Last years Firemen 8X8 APC, the Chinook and now next year's police Marauder jeep and Firemen helicopter (looks like a CH-53 or a Sea King)...
-
Umm, shouldn't this topic be stickied? It's kinda important, and it would be a shame if it got lost in the mists of the sci-fi forum.

I reserve my opinion to when I see them in more detail, but so far, I'm loving them! For me LEGO = angles, and the Atlantis bubble just wasn't doing it for me...
-
Oh, 60007 is going to be mine! Is it just me or Lego has come up with some kick-megablocks SUV designs in the last few years? First the Willis MB in the Fire Plane set, then the Land Rover Defender in the Bike Racing set, now the South African Bomb-Proof Jeep in 60007? Amazing!

I for one love the ADU/SP3 (where they originally debuted) helmets! They're so much better than the motorcycle helmets used on space themes before, they have a much more Halo-ish/exosuit vibe to them, which I love! Hoping for multicoloured spacemen in the vibe of Futuron! I haven't been so excited about a theme in years decades! Scorpion

LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Scorpion replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Okay, I've compiled a list of all identical or similar brick in LDD. They're divided in 3 categories: - The Red ones are functionally and aesthetically identical to their counterparts. - The Blue ones are aesthetically different but functionally identical. - The Green ones have the same basic shape, but have different functionality. The main culprit of this is hollow studs instead of full studs, that being the only difference in most cases. In every case, all the Red duplicates should be removed, with precedence given to the most recent DesignID. With regards to Blue and Green duplicates, Blue duplicates should be eliminated in the basic LDD mode (with the same rules as for Red duplicates), to simplify part selection, while both Blue and Green duplicates should be in LDD extended mode. BTW, the old-style Techic turntable bug still hasn't been fixed, FYI. What do you say, guys? Scorpion Duplicates.lxf -
LDD 4.3.5 is out
Scorpion replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
There was a mini-update today when I opened up LDD in both my computers. They already had the first mini-update installed. 6 parts were updated, IIRC. Did anyone else get this? -
My rules? Do whatever you please. As long as a large majority of parts are LEGO, it's a LEGO MOC for me. I don't mind people altering or making new parts, though I don't do it myself. And I don't mind for one simple reason: LEGO isn't a finished system. Every year the LEGO Company puts out new parts adding new functionality to sets, adding to the parts pool we already have. So if they haven't stopped innovating, why should we? There are lot's of times when I came across a problem that would've been solved by a brick that didn't exist. It would be a simple and elegant solution that turned into an ugly complicated mess when it was built with existing bricks... Who knows? Maybe someone who is inspired to make a new bootleg part in turn inspires LEGO to turn a fan-favourite into an official part?

LDD 4.3.5 bugs
Scorpion replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
This is not a bug, but there are lots of duplicate bricks in LDD. (Examples: nose cone 1x1 - there are 3 of them; engine 3x3x6 - there are 2 of them; bottom 2x5x2 1/3 - there are 2 of them; plate 2x2 - there are 2 of them, and many, many more!) If the LDD team would be so kind as to remove the duplicates, I would be ever so grateful! -

LDD 4.3.5 bugs

Goddamn it! They added the old technic turntable (74643), but it's bugged!! I can't get it to mesh with a 24 teeth gear (3648)! I used it to replace a placeholder new style technic turntable with 56 teeth, but when I try to replace it with the proper part, it doesn't fit! I've tried rotating the gear, the turntable, but no dice. And the worst part is that I know that construction is legitimate, I've done it in Real Life! Could you report this to the LDD team, SuperKalle? Also, the 24 teeth crown gear is still wonky... -

Check out part #11203. Interesting, huh? -
It's MOCs like these that make me hope that LEGO revisits Blacktron, but I know I'd be disapointed 'cause they wouldn't be half as good as yours! I especially like the scarab crawler! Keep up the good work!
-
Yes you are! I fully support this statement. An Army Builder set with a Drop Pod, it's Ugokin Equivalent and 3 Marines + 3 Ugokins wiould be perfect!
-
Nice! Now all it needs is ;)Excellent design, as I said in your previous thread!
-
Only 3 more to go to reach the 5000-support mark! This needs frontpaging! EDIT: Just saw the drop pods! AMAZING design! I'm amazed at how you could fit 3 SMs in such a small model! Keep up the good work! By the way, if I have an idea for a set, where or to whom should I submit it?
