Thanks for the review! Awesome set. As a sucker for anything robotic and quadreped, this is a must-get for me. Couple of things put me off though: The Avtoran feet, and his spears. I guess the spears can be removed easily, like you said.

It's a nice start, but these are too plain, IMHO. The Wreckers were really decked out in a lot of metal with multiple guns sticking out of the car. Perhaps you can look at the Hasbro toys for inspiration?
-
Ah, I see. Thanks then! Can't wait to get this guy.

Thanks for the comprehensive review! I love the second last picture, hehe. I love this set, definitely my favourite of the 3.0 line. I have one peeve, though - his tail looks super odd. I agree about the lower jaw - I didn't realize the Hordika neck served as his lower jaw until I saw a video review of it moving up and down. I wish Lego made it more prominent, since it is his namesake. Also, could I request a pic of him standing on 2 feet and looking forward, if that isn't too much to ask for? Thanks!

Yeah, seems like it's a love-it-or-hate-it for this guy. As mentioned in DeeVee's review, I also really like how his trans-green badge matches his hero core and head.

Thanks for the review. Maybe it's just me, but I kinda like this set. Will pick it up if I have the spare cash.

Nice review! I prefer Stormer 2.0, though.

Nice review! I love the last picture Not too keen on this set, though. Aside from the huge trans-yellow armour pieces, there aren't many nice parts on this guy. Plus, I've enough of yellow bugs after Bitil and Jetbug. He's one of the few HF 3.0 sets that I'm not getting.

Ah, I see. Thanks to you both!

Nice set, definitely buying this. Thanks for the review! I do wonder though, the red ball joint holding the gold armour piece below the hero chest plate seems like it isn't attached securely. Does it wobble a lot? Also, are his blade-fingers loose, due to their soft plastic nature?
-
That reminds me: Are the white curved spike pieces on Witch Doctor's back and upper arms new? I haven't seen them around before.
-
OoF was only half an hour, no? Anyway, glad to see that we'll see the heroes animated, although it was kinda expected, I'm happy to see it confirmed.
-
By the way, something just hit me: Don't you all find this similar to Bionicle's first wave? Bad guy controls creatures, heroes sent to defeat them.
-
Great review! Nice to see it fits with Hogwarts Castle. And I see that you took every opportunity you could to poke fun at the Forbidden Tree Forest set I chuckled a little every time you did.
-
I just noticed: The instructions say to attach the armour on his right thigh sideways, but the boxart (and Toy fair pics) shows it facing the front. Which is the official version, then?
-
Very nice! I love the weapon, and that's a clever way of attaching the back plate that was seen in the HF miniseries. (Or rather, episode.)

A pity the blades fall out easily, but easily fixable. Thanks for the review! Probably my favourite 3.0 hero.
-
Looking forward to them! Well, in my opinion, the holes in Raw-Jaw's body aren't as glaringly obvious as that of Fangz, his huge arms and the body armour on the back cover them up better than they do on Fangz's. And I agree with Aanchir that one of the reasons I prefer Raw-Jaw and Fangz over Waspix is that they have more unconventional builds in them compared to 'regular' canister sets. EDIT: After taking a closer look at Stringer, I finally figured out what his helmet reminded me of: Ironhide from the Transformers movies. Coupled with his bulky body, both of them are really similar. Nice resemblence there.

Might a review be too much to ask?
-
To be honest, I don't really see Raw-Jaw as a gorilla. In fact, that's why I really like him - he's a unique beast, not representing any specific animal.
-
I see what you did there. Nice one, I laughed quite a bit! Anyway, I'm not going to worry much about HF being cancelled for now, I'm going to enjoy Savage Planet when it comes. A pity my country gets them only in late July/early August, but I'll be content with reading/watching reviews online for now.
-
Well, I don't think the new build system is suitable for building vehicles, but you never know. A beast/hero combo like Bulk & Vapour would be more likely.
-
Speaking of 2011 sets, is there no mention of an exclusive or something?
-
Agreed. The 3rd wave is when the series is really beginning to shine, it'd be a pity to end it just like that.

Raw-Jaw review. Nice review, but I wish the reviewer would show more of how its head was built. Anyway, glad to see armour plating on Raw-Jaw's bottom, plus it seems that the Hordika head piece is meant to serve as the bottom or Raw-Jaw's jaw. It looks like Raw-Jaw has more of a proper jaw right now, something which previous pictures didn't manage to show. Very nice, looking forward to get this figure.
