  1. Hmmm...I wonder what the shelf life is on this idea? Oh well, I'm still having fun with it!
  2. I love the sign! Whole thing is awesome.
  3. Wow! At first I thought you were joking but now I'm starting to wonder! Guess you really like our CMF if you've spent that much time in Target:)
  4. Really incredible! The detail, particularly the landscaping is just tremendous!
  5. Ok so I have begun brick filming as many of you know. I have posted my wip video a few times and gotten tremendous feedback. As I want to use the resources made available here I thought I am taking the advice of the instructors an enrolling in the lessons. Please note: as we all are, I am severely limited on time so I will post each piece as I go. My idea for a short film is as follows: Comedy about a guy who is fixing his hair and getting frustrated. He changed styles several times, all to end with putting on a hat as he walks out. I will return with the next step in the lesson.
  6. I finally had a chance to sit down and watch the whole thing and I am sure glad I did! The creativity you showed in creating some of those shots was incredible, and the final product was flawless. I really liked the shot of the men riding through the arch with the building in the background.
  7. Bravo, 'nuff said! Pure genius.
  8. Chicago? My folks live your way, I'm in Cincinnati myself. Have fun!
  9. Welcome on! Every question I have asked has been answered within 24 hours so you've come to the right place!
  10. I love it! I've seen so many Castle and LotR MOCs its nice to see a Western build in the historic themes!
  11. I am so happy you are looking after your poor Beyond that, this was very well done!
  12. Very well done, that is some type of well system you have there! Interestingly, the house I group up in still had an outhouse. Obviously, we didn't use it, but it was still there!
  13. Well, now the problem seems to be two-fold. The original question is if BrickQueen ripped off of IronArtist. Here are my observations. The design is very similar, down to where the shirt dips over the belt and lines on the neck. They were, however, both based on the same character which could account for some similarities. IronArtist's design did lack a logo that appeared on BrickQueen's design, although it is possible she just added it at the end. The second question is if BrickQueen stole from JL Custom Brick Studio and how that relates to the IronArtist. This design also includes the logo. The JL design is remarkably similar to the other two. The IronArtist design was posted in April of 2008, JL was posted August of 2012, and BrickQueen was September of 2012. I think I recall that some ideas/designs are too common to be intellectual property and are considered fair game for all. That being said, I don't think that is the case here. Honestly, if I had to guess I would say BrickQueen ripped of JL since she posted her video one month after JL showed the design. My only lingering question is if JL stole from IronArtist or if after 4 years he just happened upon a very similar design. Just my thoughts...
  14. Haha well it's not quite like that. I was in my dark ages when we got married. Recently, I started working on a brickflick for a project with some friends. It wasn't meant to be anything major, just a fun little film. I started looking for pieces that weren't in our collection and stumbled on BL. This reminded me of all the fun LEGO had always been and got me interested in it again. My wife knew about the film, but she didn't know at the time that I wanted to do carry on with the hobby. Now this is quality advice!
  15. No way! Wow, that's all I can say.
  16. A bit of a bump? I guess you could have mentioned the new cat with series 11 CMF.
  17. Great find, that's a cute idea! Now if we could just get the chipmunk in armour...
  18. I wish CUSSOO projects were more complicated to get into production!
