  1. I'd love to take credit for it, but I simply filled in some commentary, piratedave alerted us all to the actual posts I think we have roughly 24 hours left and there's still a lot to decide. Let's look long and hard at the posts and votes so we can be sure we get the 10 votes needed for a lynch.
  2. Here's my reasoning, the case against Goliath was primarily based on his being annoying, not (initially) revealing and justifying his suspicions, and then a weak defense. All these things are bad, but he's (presumably) a new player and all these things could be attributed to inexperience. On the other hand, there's actually a legitimate profile that Lord Duvors fits. HIs posts are frequent and fluffy, and his voting has been weak. This is actual data, not just throwing a bunch of stuff against a wall. unvote: Goliath (goliath) vote lord Duvors (Lord Duvors)
  3. Hmmm... Everyone go back a page and read this because I'm not about to copy the entire text, but it's pretty interesting.
  4. Guess I need to address this, it's not that I don't think he's scum, but that's it's highly unlikely we have a successful day 1 lynch. I've never seen it. I voted for him as he seemed to be the worst town member, and now that he's both removed his doc claim and given up it seems all the worse. But a note to Goliath, in my first mafia school I was town but got wagoned early, I defended myself and was able to raise some good points and lived til the end. If you can pull it together, people may move on. Honestly, the true scum players generally stay in the shadows, contributing just enough to look active day 1, so I often look for excessive fluff. The only difference here is that this is a mafia school, so mistakes often look quite different than with experienced players.
  5. Goliath, your makin things worse for yourself. It's day 1, and it's highly likely your not scum. But you just keep poking out there and getting defensive. With the absence of an obvious scum lynch, your making yourself the next best option. There's still time to defend yourself, but as of now: vote: Goliath (Goliath) Oh, and Goliath, if you are the doctor please give us a reason not to lynch you. A shadowy claim, late in a bandwagon typically is not well received as it appears desperate.
  6. Glad your here and have power back, I am hoping you add more to this conversation then just role play though. Have you made any obsevations from reading?
  7. Sure, it happened in red menice mafia when bob was a traitor and had to help the mafia but didn't know who they were, nor did they know him. Though it would seem unusual in a school.
  8. If you post twice in a row, it combines your posts, but is not an edit. If edited, it will show when it was edited at the bottom. My thoughts exactly. People rush to judge, because we need something but usually it's grasping at straws. Spider-Man has been odd in the limited data we have so far, but it is so limited, I'd like to hear more from him. Also, several folks have been fairly absent, so I want to hear a bit more from them as well before I vote. For now, I will refrain...
  9. I'm not referring to alliances that have already formed, but rather, what we learn once players are killed. For example, after the first night we may lose 2 players who are then revealed to be either town or scum. With that info we can go back to day one and see who was defending who, who was accusing who, ect. It's highly unlikely that any actual collaboration has occurred among the town in day 1, too much of a risk. But an active day 1 board can only benefit the town as it provides highly valuable insight in the future. With that in mind, and given that you are now awake, maybe we will hear more from you going forward...?
  10. Looks like a ton of us are online, so let's put together what we know. Early on, the miller claim bothered some folks, but we seem more comfortable with it (for now). Then came Spider-Man's stuff. He seemed to play his cards poorly, insinuating he had something but not revealing who he was suspicious of until later. My thinking right now is that it could just be a newb mistake. I don't know his past experience, but most folks would not have acted that way, scum or not. I'm still sitting back observing it all, but dr def recomended hedging our bet by hanging someone who is the least help to the town (point 2 from the initial post on this day).
  11. Ok, I think we should temporarily put the miller claim aside. If he is truly a miller he did exactly what was needed of him and claimed up front, otherwise he would impede the town's investigation. Could you imagine the chaos if he claimed day 2/3 or after being investigated? Secondly, a miller claim does little to benefit scum since there is a high risk, low reward involved. If he claims miller but is scum, all he does is avoid an early chance investigation, which is highly unlikely to happen without the claim. Furthermore, a miller is not tha unusual of a character, it simply adds flavor and sparks debate, all good things. Day one is mostly looking over your shoulder and defending weak/baseless claims, but the more we talk now, the more we have to analyze once the alliances start rolling in!
  12. From my limited past experience, a miller claim this early tends to be true. Of course I've only seen it once or twice, but at least this is a starting point.
  13. Movie batman would overreact because he only has 2 hours to solve the problem instead of decades like, say, comic batman who can develop character over time.
  14. *clears throat* you do realize I'm right behind you don't you?! Why comic batman has done way more than you two will...oh never mind. We could all be dead by the end of the week, so let's just agree that I'm the best and move on. I agree with white batman Cyclops, it might be a little early to ask people for votes. Voting isn't even allowed in the first 24 hrs.
  15. Why do you wanna kill me? Batman I'm the building. My phone wouldn't update so I had to wait til I got home to confirm, but I'm here and ready for action!
  16. In my past experience, dying doesn't equal failing. If you contribute to your side in the game, the teacher will assign a pass/fail grade at the end. Those that fail typically are those that make major mistakes, don't contribute, or die immediately. I'll let speedy and more experienced players clarify if needs be. All that being said, if you are failed you must wait for another school.
  17. Up to 4 for 4 on feeling, today I got spooky girl and pizza guy. The squishy hair was definitely a giveaway and the pizza boy has the round tile.
  18. This game is geared to new players, so consider them before me. I'd say SK or not, I'll be happy.
  19. Found tons ar Walgreens, they'd hardly been touched! With just a few seconds before I had to leave, I felt out the goddess and jester, 2 for 2 so far! Hoping to get back, I'm really wanting the pig.
  20. Hmmm...I'm more southeastern indiana so I don't know of many in your area but I do know there's one in Cincinnati
  21. I really need to learn after blowing it on red mafia last time. I will happily play as long as there are openings! To those that haven't played, you want in on this!! Edit: being male would be my preference
  22. Your actions weren't dirty at all, I'd be very proud of myself in your position given then way you balanced the whole act. Thank you for the advice, I plan on playing every time a game opens so I hope to make some improvements, and you and Dave gave a lesson I won't soon forget! Thanks jamesn, you did a great job. I enjoyed the puzzles and with the difficulty, I'm sure most abilities were not claimed. I got day 1 and 2, came close on 3, but was losses on day 4. Could scum solve the puzzle and if so what did they get? Also, I was told I was blocked in my watching, but my investigation came back as no result instead of blocked, is that standard wording for any night action that is blocked?
  23. And then Mencot died so quickly, we had no chance to follow up. Man, we were screwed so early on. I was regularly contacting Speedy, so blind. I shoulda known something was wrong after the first kill was so far off.
  24. What the, I mean how the...what?!?! What?! I suck, you all suck, I hate everything!!! I've got a lot of rereading and learning to do. I actually played the day 3 riddle on the piano and violin or several friends but no one recognized it. Hat tip folks, you played an incredibly impressive game, well done. Who investigated and cleared spencer? We were conned from the start.
  25. I think your taking this all wrong. I do not personally know anyone on here and but have made several new "friends". When I voted I didn't even look at names, just designs, and most will agree with me. This was just a fun little competition and we should all treat it as such, especially because Lego picked the pictures out (other than the top few) so "friend votes" had no influence on that.
