  1. The ultimate thrilling experience im sure I found out my wife is pregnant and then told everyone
  2. Glad you joined up!
  3. Thanks! It's my first well planned and designed one so it could be called a first, thought technically it's my second. I am rather pleased with the result and it made my wife very happy
  4. Thanks for hosting def, and thanks all for playing! I agree that we can't take anything personal, it's weird to straight out lie to people that your otherwise friendly with, but it's part of what makes this game so fun! We can lead someone on all game and then have it turned back on us one game later, it all comes around
  5. Ok, so quick backstory, my wife and I just found out she's pregnent. Needless to say, were pretty happy My wife had all kinds of Pinterest ideas for announcing, but I knew there was only one way to do it right So here's what I came up with: Hope you enjoy it! Any advice or comments are appreciated!
  6. It's been awhile since I've done much animating (I've been pretty busy), but I wanted to start back towards earning my tag The current script I created was to announce my wife's pregnancy. My script is as follows: 1. Introduce boy 2. Introduce girl 3. Establish character and background story 4. Create friendship and humor 5. Reveal pregnancy without dialog I decided to cut down on the possibility for mistakes by producing thr entire video without any dialog. To ease the production process, I used a template from iMovie. I also used a series of short clips to reduce flicker and prop bumps. This allowed me to reshoot any scene I didn't completely love without worrying about wasted time. I have pictures of the set which I will share soon. I am open to any advice, don't let the story distract from the production
  7. 70% egh?! Seems as good of a number as any But I do agree, play several times before hosting, it lets you see possible complications and other more unique roles. In red menace mafia there were riddles that unlocked unique roles as well as a traitor 3rd party, those types of roles need to be experienced to be understood and utilized. If you play enough, then host, it'll be a great experience for all, including yourself.
  8. Haha thanks. I'm worried that I'll be considered suspicious everytime I play from here on out even if I am town, because of how I played this game! Every game is a little different and you learn a ton each time. Here's one thing I've really picked up on, most scumy actions come from town. I goos scum player will not act scummy at all, because they are playing too calculated. The key is to watch voting records and examine the prior days, because once affiliations are revealed it becomes very difficult to hide.
  9. Well played all! I am thrilled with the way this game went so long, speedy you hosted a well balanced game and it worked out well. Settle, you played an incredible game. I hope you all just wet your appitite and plan on playing future games, because this was a fun group to play with.
  10. What university? I received my undergraduate in math from northern Kentucky and I'm returning for my masters at the university of Cincinnati. I've turned it into a career as a high school math teacher, currently in my second year. Gotta say I love it, I even have a fellow AFOL 3 doors down! Also, I'm a part time musician who actually gets paid for it sometimes (gasp!)! My brothers and I travel summers in a band and do weekends the rest of the year. I pick up a pretty good supplemental income on a good week.
  11. I really like your logic, particularly because I prefer i player who defends themself over one who gets defensive. I'm heading to bed, but I'll leave my vote behind: vote:xenophobic monoxide (xenophobic monoxide) Honestly, I don't think we can get this wrong if we lynch XM or Brickelodeon so if I wake up tomorrow and see that changing my vote will get us a lynch, I will shamelessly bandwagon jump without an ounce of remorse
  12. I'm guessing 12 hours or so. Here it is: Brickelodeon votes Captain Settle (1) Xenophobic Monoxide votes StickFig (1) Kintobor votes Brickelodeon (1) Goliath votes Brickelodeon (2) adventurer1 votes Brickelodeon (3) Xenophobic Monoxide unvotes StickFig (0) Cutcobra votes Brickelodeon (4) StickFig votes Xenophobic Monoxide (1)
  13. I'm genuinely confused by this. You defend him, state he's not the scummiest, and then vote for him? Don't get me wrong, I've spent the game day building a case against him and I want to be rid of him and XM terribly badly (what I wouldn't give for a good ol' double lynch on these two) but I'm just confused by your logic. Oh well, I'm back and I've read through everything I missed. It appears the push is against brickelodeon, I don't see any reason why I shouldn't vote for him. Any closing arguments?
  14. Ok, we gotta put some votes together. I'm working off of this assumption to start with: So I will be looking at xenophobic and brickelodeon today. First off, both expressed suspicion of mencot yesterday (posts 5 & 13). Brickelodeon posted 12 times while XM only posted 4 times. Both voted later for lord Duvors, after the wagon started. Brickelodeon voted 5th while XM voted 7. Here are their votes: XM said: Brickelodeon said: Oour guy has to be right there, or possibly even both of them. The main thing that bothers me is where their votes fall, scum like to hide votes in the middle of a pack. Since Duvors was scum we now know, it is unlikely that the scum would want to start his lynch, but they don't want to stand out by voting at the end. So a vote around the 4-7 area is a great scum location. What do you guys think? I'm all for lynching either one of them!
  15. Ok, so since nothing is happening out here I decided to go back through my mencot thread and look for relavent info. Here are two posts, both made at the end of day 3 as we discussed day 4 plans. Please note I've edited out anything that would give away roles of those still alive.
  16. With so few strong candidates for a lynch, early accusations stick a lot more than on days 1 and 2. Therefore, I want to get out in front of this. I think lazychicken is clean. He definitely looked scummy yesterday and was very high on my lynch list, but then he turned it around. Yesterday, in posts 66, 68, and 72 he single handedly created the case against Duvors that resulted in a lynch. This was before Duvors was the main suspect, so if Lazy is scum, he practically threw his teammate to the dogs without need. It's much more likely that he saw that people were looking at him and started to play seriously. Now I am going out on a huge limb here because if he turns up scum, I've all but sealed my fate but we're too far into the game with too many enemies still alive for me to stand by and watch a townie get hung just so I can survive to the end (and lose since no one is communicating). We have 3 days of voting history, night kills, and possibly investigations to go through, we should be able to build something with substance, not just make accusations.
  17. Ok, game's on. First of all, do we know who killed who? If dr def posted results in the same manner as yesterday, then mencot was killed by scum, and Lind whisper was killed by the vig, I tend to think that is the case but it's not a certainty. Secondly, while you all chose to squabble over believing mencot's miller claim, I chose to act on my belief and started up a several day long conversation with him (p.s. I know 1 or 2 others did as well, but I will let you reveal your talks if you choose to). So here is mencot's list, sent to me yesterday before the lynch: I don't know what we can take from it, but it's important information to say the least. I've got more questions in mind but I'm going to follow this lead first.
  18. Bandwagon much?! Oh well, I guess no one wanted to be left out, which likely means there are a few scum votes hidden in there as well, just stayin'... Food for conversation tomorrow.
  19. 0 posts this far into the day? That's not right at all. I'd be happy to be rid of him even if he's town, he's been a distraction for awhile now and his loss will be a town gain. vote:lord duvors (lord duvors) Lord Duvors, please say...something, anything, because as for now, I'd be satisfied to be rid of you immediately.
  20. Piratedave and I built quite a strong case day 1 against Duvors. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=100950&st=225 posts 247 and 266. Then this post from today: So this suspicion has been there for awhile. He escaped the first couple of days, always appeared to be a better suspect. So as I see it, today we have (in no special order) lazychicken, mencot, and duvors.
  21. I guess I'm just confused with what you're trying to say here. The serial killer is a town asset, they've killed once and were right on with their choice. If the killer keeps playing intelligently, it doesn't matter how few town are left, the SK still benefits the town.
  22. The problem is, there is no good way to prove a miller claim. If you're the miller, you're the miller. In my limited playing, I've never seen scum claim miller because there isn't much reward for it. Not saying it couldn't happen, it's just unusual.
  23. While agree that we shouldn't be shooting too many theories around, we're nowhere near that today. We're not getting anything fresh, and it's killing us! Remember, now that we're later into the game, there are less players and thus fewer places for scum to hide. If everyone is vocal, the scum are forced to talk as well and may slip up. I agree with your second point though, we can't generalize the scum as being all quiet, chances are pretty good that at least one or two scummies have been fairly vocal.
  24. I believe this is scaevola's vote explaining her logic... Later on, the vote was changed, but it didn't appear that she was sold on voting for Dave. So clearly scaevola was suspicious of duvor, but Dave was not. Two dead, both with opposing views. I I know Mencot is also a popular choice today so there's a lot to consider.
  25. Here are a couple of lingering questions on my mind: 1st: just like yesterday, why was scaevola targeted? Honestly, I had her on my list of neutral players, with the possibility of being scum. She didn't strike me as much of a asset to the town, so why did the scum want her gone? 2nd: how many scum are left? I assume they started with 3 or (more likely) 4, so does 2-3 scum left seem right?
