Millers should always claim day 1, you're right to do so. With a bit more experience, you'll notice millers always claim, usually in their first post. While it's risky, it's necessary. The alternative would be an investigation and guaranteed lynch.

Not necessarily. If your hypothetical turns out to be true, I would assume at least one or two maples are in the wagon, just in case it holds. In fact, I once was on the other side and I always made sure I was one of the first to vote for my teammates, to cover my tail. still, I do think your right in saying that, if Alastair is scum, he needs the town to destroy the bandwagon. Any other move would just be too risky for his team as it would draw suspicion on all those that left the wagon if he later came up maple.

Ok, I'm home and have had time to compile my info regarding Catrina. My argument was the she gets ultra defensive when accused and "suspects" everyone that accuses her. Here is the info I've compiled: It starts with some light accusations early on from Waldorf and Bruce: Catrina is immediately defensive and suggests that accusing her is suspicious: I decide she's worth my vote: ...so I must be trying to cover for my scum buddies! Then a new accusation comes in... ...so Catarina adds to her list. Another vote... ...looks like Catarina caught another Maple I restate my case... ...and now Im supporting a "maple". All bold was added for emphasis. If she is right with her suspicions then she has found the entire scum team as I think she suspects like half a dozen players! I'm worries it may be too late to build this case, but I truly do find it compelling. Take a look and see what you think.

Why is it everytime you get caused your reaction is "you must be scum for voting for me" & "now I'm suspecting you for suspecting me"? (Im on my mobile, but I'll be happy to go back and provide examples as soon as I'm home) People having suspicions is not only normal, it's necessary. Because we're early in the game and focussing on the smallest of details. There's just not that much more to discuss and so this is where we end up. I, for one, actually find her comment and subsequent absence more fishy than your comments, but I'm standing by my earlier Catarina vote anyway because I feel it's the most compelling evidence I have on this first day. ...and you typed the word lying?... Do you mean Berty's attempt to 'ascertain' a role? From my perspective he hasn't asserted a role at all. If you meant ascertain, I think it's the type of stuff that makes everyone jumpy on day 1 but yawn on day 4. This whole Alejandro thing is throwing me a bit...maybe it was the way it was first revealed with all the "oak contacting an oak to ask about an oak" stuff, but why all the PMs? I literally trust none of you (that includes you Walter!) so if I'm going to make accusations I'll do it publicly. In addition, everything that's been PM'ed has subsequently been posted here anyway, which kinda spoils the secret, so I just don't really know what to do with it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think neutrals are always in the rules, regardless of if they exist. In a game this size, it's likely one exists, but the rule wording doesn't amount to much.

Given all the babbling yew trees are doing, I figured I'd comment on the only piece of gameplay so far. One of the main mistakes I've seen in my games is the town underestimating scum numbers. 4 is too small in a game this size, imo. Maybe, MAYBE, 5 and a 3rd party, but definitely not 4. These early assumptions can be a bit...shady.

Well that would round out the year. The Louvre does have some neat designs, particularly the exterior. The link says 60 euro which seems a little high.

I completely agree. Honestly, I spend half my time going back to the 1st page just to see who such and such a player is. I'd say the easiest method would be to use the given name, but I sure wouldn't mind including the username as well. Example: "I was rereading jack pines (mostlytechnic) posts" Not that this is necessary, just useful.
