  1. Fair enough. Since this is a logical argument (not just megablock slinging) I'll address it. To your first point, I've not gone back, but it's highly likely you're correct that I only address them once. In fact, that's likely a lot more than l addressed most folks. In a game of 25, on day 1 and 2, I simply am not going to speak with everyone. (You also took a swipe at the codes, but that's been talked through enough). After seeming the two options today, I simply reviewed everything they said, and found Bobby more suspicious. At the time Bobby made some of those statements, they were acknowledged by many of you. However, I was more suspicious of the body of work, something that can only be seen over time. Lasty, you state I'm covering for Larry by attacking Bobby. If we get to the end of the day and need my vote...just call. I'm a team player. If Larry turns up scum I know I'll pay for my vote, I just voted for who I felt was scum. That's the job of all of us, vote who we think is suspicious.
  2. I've been spending the last hour going through the first two days (an easy read at nearly 40 pages). Here's some things that stuck out to me: In day one, Bobby made several references to having no opinion, no suspicions, no reads, really, he had nothing to add except trying to look active. He even said in the first quote "I'm just speaking to show im paying attention". So I figured I'd go through day two, see what there was to see. I know some portions of the quotes are confusing out of the context of the original comments they respond to, so highlighted what really stood out to me. He continually stated he has nothing to be helpful with and generally retracted anything he said almost immediately, like he didn't want to ruffle any feathers. At best it's suspicious, but it really seemed scummy all taken together. His attempts to appear active, while trying to downplay his comments and stay out of the spotlight are sticky, like syrup. So here it is, the culmination in my last hour of work: vote: Bobby Beech (Lord Duvors)
  3. Wait, this could be possible?! That would ruin everything. Wouldn't it swing the game too far to a scum advantage? Unless the host didn't consider the whole code situation. It's at least plausible...and might explain the absence of a janitors action last night.
  4. Ya, that was unfortunate. But we can't go back to square 1. IF Lauren was completely accurate and honest with what (s)he said, it would only out vanilla players. With so few players having claimed, it's not an end all. If we discard the codes, the scum can hide behind not claiming along with everyone else. If everyone claims, at least we lock people into there word early.
  5. Would you not agree that if everyone claimed to the stumps it would be useful?? We put the system in place for a reason, the only reason it won't work is if we abandon it at the moment we are ready to utilize it.
  6. Fair point. Look, the stumps are a huge advantage, so we've gotta take advantage of it. If we go with the codes, we gotta go all in. That means everyone needs to share with the stumps. If only a few people don't, then the whole system is broken. Also, we need to pursue this janitored/not janitored situation. Was the day one lynch scum? If so, that's huge! I think it's an issue that needs to be revisited. There's unanswered questions that could really be useful to have answers to.
  7. Full disclosure, Berty told me you claimed on January 31st (locally) and then further told me on February 1st that you claimed as vanilla townie. I had no way of verifying this claim, so I figured I'd just tell you here. He was very suspicious of you because, according to Berty, you PMed someone asking them to vote for Alastair (brickilodeon) and that you sent him a suspicious message as well. F2
  8. The goal would be for the maples to claim too, but for the stumps to watch for duplicate claims to catch maples claiming roles they don't have. This is the game for new titles...welcome to the club! (That title will have a great story for ya )
  9. If this is the case, the blocker could reveal who he blocked to someone he trusts and we may just get a scum lynch today. do we still have yesterday's stumps? I didn't see anything in Walters post that indicated otherwise.
  10. Hmmm...so now we have some day 1 questions answered I think. Alastair was janitored, the scum have limited shots, was Alastair scum? The alternative is the scum were just trying to through us off on day 1, but didn't consider any of the deaths important enough to janitor on day 2.
  11. Is it wrong that I kinda consider this a compliment???
  12. Stupid, stupid me -Hinckley had just received his newest title and I was admonishing myself for not thinking of it first. My self inflicted insults resulted in my Hinckley inflicted title. Makes me feel like I'm finally one of the guys
  13. Fair, though I'm not inclined to regenerate a bunch of additional codes right now. I may share some extra vanilla codes with a select few PM folks, just in case.
  14. I only included one code for vanilla because I can't really speculate on anyone's role other than my own, vanilla or not. So until I know more about others, the only relevant info I can share to stumps is my part in the game.
  15. Or at least a different list to the players you think you may trust...you don't need to send a list to everyone unless you want to, but at least send codes to a handful of people that could help out once you die.
  16. When I sent the codes out, I figured 8b would come into play soon. I was assuming stumps would be gone the next day and therefore the newly cut down stumps will only have limited info to share, mainly there own roles and the roles of those who claimed to them.
  17. Ok, just sent everyone a PM with unique codes. You should all have one, but if you didn't receive it, shoot me a PM and I will get you one. If you got 2 (which is entirely possible...this was a logistical nightmare!) let me know, and I'll tell you which one to keep. If I die, but remain a stump, I will share my code on the boards for one of you to decipher.
  18. Is this a badge of honor having made this list? This really bothers me. There has been way too much claiming going on, and with only one semi-cleared player, I don't know everyone feels the need to share so desperately. Folks, we have a system in place to share roles through our codes, there'll be plenty of time to share in the near future.
  19. Fair enough, I'll be home soon and off my mobile. Be watchin your inboxes!
  20. We have our first Lindsay stirling reference of the day...can't believe it took this long. In terms of codes, I'll put some together and send it to someone...reckon it's worth a try.
  21. No one has addressed my concern with this master plan. If the stumps are removed after one day, I assume they will not be allowed to communicate to anyone still actively involved in the game. This would include stumps. If this is true, the whole plan collapses...right??? The only think left at that point would be the stumps could use a code to reveal their own role.
  22. You sly dog you! You've raised many valid points in your posts and in retrospect I see where your gameplay has been beneficial. Heck, when you accuse everyone you're bound to accuse the maples as well! Tunnel vision has been a major problem for me in the past, but it's hard for me to move on when it seems like I've already got a fish on the hook. I have, however, been following along so I will address other issues. The secret code sounds like a logistical nightmare, but if it could be pulled off, I think this game would become a legendary one! The key is for each player to find a player thry trust to share their code with. Here's my one concern with it, earlier it was shown to me that it's likely the stumps will be uprooted after one day. If this is the case, then the uprooted stumps won't be able to communicate and therein lies an issue with the system. We need to make sure that any code we come up with is built around the assumption that the only stumps that will be available are those that just died.
  23. You know I wasn't schooling you, I was trying to make a suggestion that I hoped would help clarify who the true suspects are. If your upset, I apologize. I truly didn't mean to offend. If you want my contributions, they are all around you. I built the case on Catarina on day (I case I still stand by), I debated heavily on the stump debate (I stood corrected on that one), I've discussed at length every change in this game. Reread the thread if you need further evidence, I don't need to quote every post I've made. You're, not your...that'll probably bother someone. Wait...I have a title?! I have a title!!! And it says...wait, what?!...oh...I have that title...
  24. Correction: 78 posts...I can't believe I underestimated when I said 72 posts Maybe my good intentions were ill placed. You clearly have much more experience than I, and I will continue to learn from you. We just differ in playing styles, that's what makes these games unique and enjoyable. I probably shoulda kept my trap shut on that one.
