  1. Not sure if I've missed this, but has there been any rumours or leaks about the 2nd half 2009 larger technic sets? Paul
  2. 10 Years ago I passed up the chance to get a monorail accessory set from the top shelf of a Toy shop in a little village somewhere in Wales. Just wonder if it is still sitting there, shame I cannot remember where that toy shop was? That would have been one of the best £20 ever spent.
  3. I knew I had read a very similar article before
  4. It's missing the limited edition minifg which comes with the recently released book "50 years of lego sets"
  5. Great, just picked up 3 for the price of 2 cargo truck 7733 I've been waiting ages for a deal like this to help build up my cargo yard. Paul
  6. I am pleased that we now have the option to power the models if we so wish, I do hope that we see the pole reverser and the lights for sale seperately like the other PF components. I think this will be likely next year when the PF trains come along? Paul
  7. Regardless of piece count, i always open all the bags and mix up the pieces to make the build more fun and challenging, part of the fun is finding the brick! Paul
  8. I too am a big Technic fan, and construction is by far my favourite range, I have 3 wishes I would like to see either a PF grader like in this link: http://www.engineering.co.hays.tx.us/Porta..._Grader_IMG.jpg or I would settle for a fully PF excavator, I know we have a small one this year, but I would like to see one on a scale with last years bulldozer with 6 way remote control power functions, (left & right tracks, traversing, and 3 independantly powered linear actuators :-) That one is a big dream :-) I would settle for a truck, propelled & Steering with PF, It could maybe have a log trailer, with a grabber on the back? We will no doubt get another car, they are a bit like police stations
  9. Good Review, who voted this below average??? I own one and managed to pick it up off ebay a few years ago now with the track expansion pack for £150, in very good condition So glad I did, an all time classic
  10. From memory Argos sold it originally for about £21 GBP. I seem to remember this as I could not afford the airport released the same year as this was about £29.99! Seems such a small amount of money now, Now have 2 copies of this set, only 1 boxed :-)
  11. I am over the moon, Thanks Copmike, Sorry to all the others who entered. Paul

  13. Technic looks good, can't wait to see the big sets :-) Fingers crossed for a remote control PF Digger The farm sets look good Shame about the oversized construction sets. At this rate we will need bigger road plates soon if that road roller is anything to go by. I am liking the latice work on the big crane arm, but why can't we have proper hooks again Duplo get a Zoo and a Bus, why not us town folk? Roll on Trains for 2009
  14. Count me in, although only interested in the Coastguard set :-) Raffle on
  15. Ordered mine earlier this week online and paid the high shipping charges and it arrived, However I'm a bit annoyed, just returned from the Lego shop Bluewater and they had about 15 of them on the shelf (Premium Edition) for £29.99 GBP So picked up another, now have number 85 as well.

  17. Ordered my premium edition 2 days ago and it turned up today, number 279. Very impressed. Nice hardback version of the book. Paul . . .
  18. Bought 2 copies at Legoland at the weekend, 1 to tick off the sets I have and one to keep nice what a great reference manual :-) At £13.50 each I'm happy even if there is a premium version coming
  19. Before everyone shouts this should be in the buy/sell and finds forum, i know it should but when i click new topic there it says i don't have permission to start a topic there so this is why i've started it here. maybe someone can move it at a later date? Anyway, I see the new sets are now available to preorder, shipping 11th July, I guess not long know until they are released in the UK. So how about guessing the price in the UK :-) are we ready for more crazy exchange rates :-) then blamed on british tax http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=57&d=70 8293 Power functions motor set, $29.99 (UK price should be around £15) my guess it £25.00 8294 Excavator, $59.99 (UK price should be around £30) my guess is £39.99 8295 Telescopic Handler, $89.99 (UK price should be around £45) my guess is £59.99 8297 Off Roader, $119.99 (UK price should be around £60) my guess £89.99 It won't stop me getting them but lets hope Argos do some 25% introductory offers :-) or the credit crunch hits and the price comes down :-) Anyone else want to make some guesses? Paul . . .
  20. Strangly Dunamis, you have a few leftover parts in your set which I do not have left over in mine, like the light grey lampholders? and the cheesewedges in all colours? Paul . . .
  21. Picked mine up from the Lego store in Brighton on Monday,
  22. Thank you everyone, order now placed Paul . . .
  23. Anyone know if there is a code for the UK? I don't think I will get away with just saying I clicked the wrong country. The currency being different may make me look silly! Anyone know if there is a code for the UK? I don't think I will get away with just saying I clicked the wrong country. The currency being different may make me look silly!
  24. Anyone else noticed on SAH UK, the sudden increase in price for the individual power functions components? The remote control has gone from
  25. I think this is one to leave on the shelf with the giant dump truck of 2006 and the hovercraft of 2007!
