I'm no farmer John, but it looks more like a 3 point hitch to me: http://www.doublehh.com/product_images/24_...actorGraphi.jpg I would have liked to have seen another accessory to accompany this set, there is no reason they could not have built in a PTO into the model to drive accessory sets, a plough or something similar would have been good Paul

Technic sets from 2009
paul_delahaye replied to legomilk's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The piste basher has a very good resemblance of a real one http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...l%3Den%26sa%3DG -
Technic sets from 2009
paul_delahaye replied to legomilk's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I am very pleased with these 2nd half sets, the truck is fantastic, very European in design, I am surprised we have now not had the Power Function remote control 2 years running after it was first used in the bulldozer? I was convinced we would get a full remote control technic car The piste basher is a very strange choice of vehicle for lego to release but nice to see an alternative vehicle? Paul And I've just compared that red tractor to the green one from a couple of years ago and it definitely looks the same to me -
How potentially great is this new 4 wide track for a fairground roller coaster! Paul

Anyone know the Europe release dates for FARM sets?
paul_delahaye replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Town
I've answered my own question, I've just found an advert on the back of the Lego Club magazine saying released in the UK in March Thanks Paul -
Was kind of expecting to see them on shop at home by now? Maybe the farm will be in the new UK Argos catalouge released this weekend, fingers crossed for some new catalogue LEGO offers. Paul

Lego shopping in London City
paul_delahaye replied to gonknoggin's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
There's always Woolworths! Doh they went bust :-) Hamleys for example in store, A £90 RRP set will be on their shelves for around £100 John Lewis on Oxford street normally has a small selection of Lego, Biggest problem is at this time of year the shops have not yet stocked up with the new sets. An official Lego shop is your only real option as everyone else has already commented, in the good ol days we had one in Kingston, just on the outskirts of Central London, sadly this went the same way as Wooly's. -
I think a post office may not be out of the question, following on from the sub-theme of the last year? Plus they already print letters onto tiles, it would be great if you got like 100 with the set

Review: 8264 Hauler
paul_delahaye replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is a real shame, The going price in the UK fopr this set is £48.95 for this we get a inear actuator, battery box and a M motor, Lets think back to what good value the big bulldozer was 2 years ago, £75 in the sales, battery box, remote control, 2 infra red receivers, 2 XL motors and 2 M motors this really is a £35 set and that would have been with a working motor under the hood, real disappointment Roll on some better sets in the 2nd half of the year Paul -
Watcha get for Christmas?
paul_delahaye replied to samthelegoman1's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, the dog ate the Christmas Turkey yesterday whilst it was defrosting so Christmas Dinner will be different today. I got an old technic set 8868 Air Claw Rig, second hand but it's an old one I've wanted for ages -
I have always been slightly disappointed by Toys R Us in the UK, they tend to have excessive amounts of the stock that no one wants to buy, and they almost never have any offers on Lego Just outside Reading in the UK we used to have a Warehouse creatively called "Redaing Warehouse" who had a great range of Lego at abouyt 10% below the going rate. They often had old sets on the shelves. However after a modernisation refit a couple of years ago they unfortuantley no longer seem as good. Paul

Have you rung them yet? how did you get on? By chance do you have the phone number or address? Both myself and my girlfriend separately applied from different addresses and neither of us have received the lego or had our cheques cashed :-( I fear the same again as when we collected for the free aerial photo :-( Paul -
I went to a woolworth's yesterday and the shelfs were stripped of nearly everything, there were discounts which i guess had caused nearly everything to be sold. It is a shame, and a worry, for example, the Lego cargo truck and forklift or the lego container handler were exclusive items to Woolworths this year from what I could see, even Legoland did not sell them. It only seemed available on Shop at home and in Genuine Lego stores. I hope Lego have not negotiated any exclusive distribution deals with Wooly's for next year! Paul

I too was gutted when I saw it was sold out on lego.com (I think they did not predict quite how popular they would be) however if your making your decision based on the shipping charges it won't be any worse on ebay than on lego.com I think the problem with ebay is the over exaggerated prices they are selling for currently. I am hoping in january they should come down to a reasonable price on ebay One thing I did notice is they were not generically available in UK toy shops this year, I know in the past I have bought them from Woolworths, I guess we all know why they were not available there this year! Legoland had loads of the town calendar at a couple of weekends ago, and they were selling them with 20% discount and a further 10% with an annual pass, I contemplated buying some cheap to sell on ebay but could not be bothered. Paul

If your making the effort to drive to lakeside, you may as well just pay the £1 to cross over the bridge and drive 5 miles down the road and go to the Lego shop at bluewater, it may not offer big discounts but they tend to have the range, last year they had some of the new year sets available in early December.

Just got back from watching Bond at the Vue cinema, most strange was the Lego advert at the beginning of the film which looks like it was made in the 1970's Any one else seen this, The advert went something like Mouse Cat Dog ... ... ... ... ... Elephant Mouse You can make anything

My Free LEGO has arrived!
paul_delahaye replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was only thinking the other day that they had not arrived, I was thinking it was like the "free aeriel photograph" I saved 30 tokens for last year and it never turned up! -
TV program this morning, he was asked what he would take to a desert island and he said a complicated Lego set?
