wow increidble deal on the vladeks! and the troll warriors seem a bit expensive though. impulse sets were only 3.49 back then and now 3.99. Yea! What I might do is just get more shields and just swap the shields and use them to represent various the factions that used them. Since my crusaders, black falcons and royal knight armies are a bit lacking I can just use them in each army. And black knights too. Just swap shields.

whoa you really broke that bank there! Then again I spent a similar amount the past week or so. Just on massive amounts of old castle minfigures. I should probably get some of the KKI and KKII minifigures too. Speaking of which, More of those scale mail minfigiures.

@ Magnus the Great Hm seems like Black Knights have no distinguishable torsos, Crusaders, Black Falcons, and Royal(Lion) Knights used those generic breastplates and scailmail. How come for Black Knights they didn't make any faction specific torsos? @ SirSven7 I have read your articles before and they are great. But they do not have the information I require. @ maydayartist yes that is exactly the kind of site I was looking for! Too bad the site does not separate the KKI and KKII but I guess those should be obvious. Royal/Crusaders mostly used the red torsos, and Black Falcons mostly used the blue/black torsos. And Black Knights used all of them. If anything I will just do red for Crusaders and/or Royal Knights, blue for black falcons, and black for fright knights. Or the other way around since Black Falcons have mostly black arms, black legs, and black knights have lots of blue on their shields. The only thing that site is missing is a horse barding guide! But I should be able to figure those out with bricklink.

The only problem is the early scale mail and breastplate knights are fairly generic and are reused by multiple factions. I guess that means it doesn't matter what factions I use them as. I have a bunch of Black Knight Shields so I guess I will just use them as Black Knights. EDIT: Although that would explain why they are labeled as "breastplate" or "scale mail" instead of "black knights" or "crusaders" or whatever faction that makes use of them.

Oh lord, I am looking at the crusader sets in brickset, the scale mail minifgures look similar to the black knight ones. Ugh. I guess they reused the torsos for the crusaders and black knights? Ugh I see that the scale mail torso appears in multiple castle themes.

I started buying old castle minifgures recently from various themes.So far I am using brickset/bricklink to identify some of them same the faction name in its description and some don't. It's hard to identify theminfigiures that don't have faction symbols on their torsos. And also, if possible post what shields go with them would be nice. And the black knights have similar shields to dragon masters, Ugh. I thought they were dragon master varients at first. Some of this stuff is confusing.

This is probably unlikely, but what if those users passed away mid transactions.

not ebay but bricklink. i ordered like dozens of minifigures lately. and some of them seemed to have made mistakes and sold me a minfigure with wrong arms or legs or torso (but the rest of that minfigiures from the same sellers are perfectly fine). I guess it's not that important since my goal is to collect as many old castle minfigures as possible. But I should let the sellers know right? EDIT: So all three sellers have done something to rectify the situation. So far excellent experiences so far. I recently bought some minfigs from a 9 feedback seller lets see how that goes. Only around 17 dollars I think.

Woot woot, Also from bricklink, more old castle minifigures. Scorpion Knights, Dragon Masters, Crusaders, Ninja one has wrong arms and one has wrong legs = (, Royal Knights, Lion Knights, Crown Knights, and whatever is left I cannot identify.

I wish these promo sets were sold everywhere instead of just select stores. They are great army builders! . This time is my first bricklink orders, and its mostly older castle minfigiures. In fact I can't even identifiy them all (help would be great?) I know some are black falcons, crusaders, dragon knights, wolfpack, peasant, and royal knights. I think the rest are from knights kingdoms I.

No one got any new castle lego recently? I got myself at Target. Glad I saw them. Great bargain for cheap white ninjas and golden swords.

So many awesome soldiers, I see that you took advantage of the chess sets! I wish I started collecting a few years earlier, then I would have thousands of minfigures too! Only in the hundreds so far. But another 100 on its way in the mail. Do you have enough troops to wield all your weapons? I just outfitted 100 spearmen, but that resulted in like 100 swords being removed and lying around. Guess my upcoming minfigures should take care of that problem. But I still have lots of crossbows, some maces, lots of katanas and some axes.

lego creator 100+ sets tend to be great values because they have over 1000 pieces for 100 dollars. for other themes 100 dollar sets have around 500-800 pieces. Medieval Market Village is an exception. Essentially a Lego Creator for Castle.

I don't. So if someone were to dip into my lego boxes I wouldn't know because its all just into boxes. I have a somewhat accurate count of some of my minfigures since I post army videos of them and I usually count how many I have.

Hm no new army posts? Not exactly an army, but most of my spearmen. 100 in total! Not shown in the pictures are my Ninja/NinjaGo Spearmen, Persian Spearmen, and Undead Spearmen. If you can't tell, I am a big fan of Rome Total War!

Oh my word!!! I want it so bad. But don't like the randomness or fishing for the dwarf. And probably going to be 5+ bucks each on bricklink. =(. That is certainly a problem!!! I don't mind the clone faces, seeing as I got like 30+ of each face by now. But the lack of torsos or factions for the trolls is a problem. For dwarfs you can swap torsos easy and make different factions though. I hope to get enough trolls to at least split it between copper helmets and black helmets. For skeletons, luckily there is classic, Fantasy white, and Fantasy Black, and ninjago. And some face variants for the white skeletons for pre fantasy, and for ninjago. Skeletons are definitely the most diversified fantasy race so far and have decent customization potential. At the very least, just use the human shields and and armor pieces and you got various undead factions. Dwarves are semi customizable since you can use any torso/shields. I guess any helmet, and beard/nobeard if you have enough short legs to make them into dwarves.

I like them too! I just took the plunge and ordered a bunch of older minfigures on bricklink. Don't even know what most of them are but I will figure that out later on. I tried to only buy the 3 dollars or less minfigures. Turns out there are lots of older minfigures for around 2-2.50 each. Hopefully they make more fantasy themes too so I can have an elf army, more troll factions, and maybe more dwarf factions? even more undead factions? I got some golden staff guardains for 10 mummies.

yea I think that is the preference of many. I noticed similar complaints in space themes. Where it used to be humans vs humans. And now its usually humans vs aliens.

I should have refreshed you answered before I could edit the post! Anyway, Well they had dragon knights and dragon masters before. and a lot of them were non-realistic like the rainbow knights. There was always a hint of fantasy, but only the 2007 went full fantasy. Personally I like them, but for trolls I fear they will never make anymore, thus I am stuck with one tribe. For skeletons there are the fantasy, classic, and ninjago. So that''s 3 factions if you wanted. maybe even black skeletons as a forth. And the classic skeletons have face variants so you could buy those and make more undead factions too.

Yea, I read that people did not like the full on fantasy. They didn't mind the occasional wizards/witches, ghosts, skeletons and dragons from before. But then dwarves, trolls and mass skeletons. Which is why they like Kingdoms so much because its closer to the older castle themes. There was only the wizard and the dragon babies/statues. I keep on telling myself to buy older castle minfiigures off of bricklink or decent ebay lots. But I just don't like them as much as the newer minfigiures. The newer ones have fancier printing. And also I get upset when I don't have lots of the same minifigure. For older ones, I can buy only like 1 from each seller, making it a pain just to get like 10 minifigures, and then by then there is no more of them. except on ripoff prices on ebay (which other people gladly pay). But I should at least get 19 Oval crown knight shields since I only have 1, but I have 20 crown knight horse bardings (yet only like 13 helmets but I can switch them up with the kingdoms ones. It's no longer uniform but I like the diversity.) Or just use the triangular shields, I got like 20 of those.

i meant to say this earlier, but Warhammer does have a ton of fantasy races. And I know most lego fans don't like fantasy.

yo they should make the heroica microfigs into minfiigures!
