  1. Ah I see. Because I was just looking at the bricklink. Found it weird how the same torso forestmen would have like 4 different plumes/feathers and the difference is that one has a different colored hat, or one has a quiver. brown hat no quiver, brown hat with quiver, green hat no quiver, green hat with quiver would each get a different colored/shaped plume. Right now since I got so many older castle minfigures I am not sure if I should modify them to look more organized or just try to leave it as original as possible. Or if I should swap any heads to prevent clone syndrome. My Crown/Lion/Troll/Dwarf/Dragon/Skeleton factions from 2007+ are modified to have a more organized look in terms of helmets. And for heads I swapped them around to make the clone syndrome less noticeable.
  2. I just found the piece on bricklink Slope 45 2 x 2 with Radar and Disk Slot Pattern, and then google image searched it, a few results and all of them have that white fuzz on the top.
  3. Using a tighter neck! that's a genius idea. So far the best I can do is take another head or round brick and just stick it into the head and slowly wiggle it out. eventually the brick/head comes out but by then its loose enough for me to use my fingers to wiggle it out. A bit annoying but at least now I know its not permanently stuck!
  4. And also different shaped and colored plumes/feathers! None of it makes any sense. Well I swapped around the feathers and plumes for my forestmen (like black feather on black tunic) but I guess I will leave the ones on the breastplate knights alone for now. It seems like they just randomly stuck parts together. I am used to the uniformity of the crown/lion/dragon knights.
  5. That army looks awesome. Well if you want you can take pictures and post them in the army topic.
  6. Looks incredible but how come no close ups on the soldiers?
  7. Okay I will store them in bags with confidence. When you put them in the bags do you just stick them in or do you try to remove the air too? Interesting about the solid stud heads. How would I go about removing the ones that are stuck? Or its impossible without breaking the helmet? I guess I should remove all the solid stud heads then. Well at least for the closed helmets, hoods, and other hard to remove headgear. EDIT: Playing around with some minfigures. It appears the helmets that are stuck on the heads is because the head is too loose to stick to the torso as you attempt to remove the helmet. At least that happened to of them.
  8. I don't know but I see a lot of commercials for lego city, and lego NinjaGo. And they even made a mini movie! Maybe I missed the commercials for Kingdoms.
  9. A question about using bags to store the minfigures. Will that have any negative effect on the minfigures? like the trapped air inside, or lack of ventilation? EDIT: Also what causes minfig heads to get stuck to helmets?
  10. I only had prior to 2009. Missing Black Falcon shield unfortunately(its like 1-2 dollars each!!!!) and one black chin guard. and the old gray swords. I had some Space sets. I bought some sets in late 2009. and then stopped buying for a while. And I bought some in 2010. And only this year did I buy sets in bulk. And starting last month I started buying castle minifgures that aren't the new kingdoms lion/dragon knights. I hope to make up for my childhood and missing out on all the awesome castle minifigures. EDIT: Something I find weird about the older factions is that they seem to have random legs. Unlike the later factions where the legs are uniform. The earlier ones with the same printed torso/face will have different colored legs, arms or helmets. Makes them look out of place next to the newer factions. I mean I could try to reorganize them to have a more uniform look but that would probably require a lot of time and money, better spent on getting more minfigures!!!
  11. I will try to get some next month when I get some more money hah. Only Vikings and Black Falcons are lacking in numbers now. Black Falcons first since those are more rare!
  12. You are not the only one who thinks so. I am probably addicted to lego. Madoka's packages probably dwarf mine. Here is my logic on this. For the longest time I can remember I have always been interested in medieval and fantasy settings. And I always enjoyed the military aspects, seeing huge armies of them. I was going to get into warhammer but instead I chose to get lego instead as a warhammer alternative. Since you can customize the minfigures forever. Plus no gluing/painting necessary. I started army building a few months ago? That was when I started mass ordering. I was only going to get hundreds of dragon and lion knights from kingdoms. but someone pointed out cheap crown knights on ebay. and when I made a few orders there, I felt confident enough to buy minfigures from bricklink. And since then lots of minfigure orders. My scale mail minifigure and breastplate minfigure count is probably high enough to challenge my lion/dragon knights. Easily making my Black Knights Army a top contender for my largest armies. I probably should be making an army video of those guys!
  13. 102 castle minifgures! Lots of soldiers and knights! Fantasy Era - White Skeleton, Black Skeleton, Crown Knight, Kingdoms - Lion Knights Ninja - Blue Shogun, Blue Samurai, Red Samurai, Robber, Red Ninja, Black Ninja, Knight's Kingdom II - Danju, Jayko, Rascus, Santis, King Mathias, Shadow Knights, Lord Vladek, Vikings, Knight's Kingdom I - Bull Knights, Dragon Masters, Majesto the Wizard, Royal Knight, Fright Knights, Wolfpack, Peasants, Crusaders, Crusader Axes, Forestmen, Dark Forestmen, Breastplate minfigures (from Crusaders/Black Falcons/Black Knights/Royal Knights) and Scale Mail minfigures (from Crusaders/Black Falcons/Black Knights/Royal Knights)
  14. Wow this is absolutely incredible!
  15. Thanks a lot man. Long ago when I was going to only get new castle minfigures from Kingdoms and beyond, I was going to use my 2 childhood forestmen as hunters or lumberjacks. But I have a small army of them now so I will use them as Forestmen again. I recently got a bunch of Crusaders too. Quite a few of them have faded torsos. =(. I need to get some Black Falcons next! Every faction I have at least 5 of now except the Black Falcons!!! And zero classic knights, not sure if I want those. The only castle factions I am not particularly fond of are the Vikings lol. But I must get more of them for completion! I only have 2. Going by that logic I should get some of the classic minfigures too. My Shadow Knights army. Not as impressive but I am getting more later on when I get tired of buying the older ones.
  16. Wow 90% faded torsos? Hm is it just a problem with Crusaders? Or do Black Falcons and classic castle minfigs suffer from this as well? So far my oldest used minfigs have been the peasants, forestmen, crusaders and 1 black falcon. so far only the crusaders have had this problem.
  17. I figured he bought them, seeing as he also has lots of brickforge pieces as well from your previous posting of his gallery. Yea lego can sure get addicting.
  18. I have recently bought over 200 minifigures from bricklink. and this has been a big problem with Crusaders. Every now and then a minfigure will have thinning printing in the center or around the edges. That is fine. But like 10% of the crusaders I have received have heavy faded printing on their torsos. I haven't sent any complaints to the bricklink sellers because it seems to be such a common problem and I just chalk it up as the price of buying 20 year old minfigiures. And its from high positive feedback sellers. They will have a batch of multiple Crusaders and all will be fine except one or two. EDIT: I checked and it did not occur as much as I thought. I originally posted 30% but 10% is a more accurate number.
  19. I would be surprised if Kingdoms sold well, there was barely any promotion for it.
  20. Cool army. A little off-topic but do you or your husband work for BrickTW? Seeing as how the person who posted that army is one of the two posters on those forums. I only see Asteros and BrickTW as posters.
  21. Thanks DaleDVM. And now my Royal Knights Army, its a bit bigger than my other old castle minfigure factions.
  22. Okay I have now ordered over 200 minfigures from bricklink and from around 11 different sellers. And some shields/helmets/horse barding/plumes. All marked as used (I think so), my experience so far from my orders(mostly applies to minfigs). I am just guessing on the percentage though. 40% = like new 40% = some playwear, minor nicks/scratches, stress marks, loose limbs, stuck helmets/heads 10% = heavy playwear just like the above but "more" 5% = faded torso printing almost exclusively on Crusaders and Crusader Axes (around half of my crusaders have faded printing). 2% = seller ran out of item 1% = wrong pieces 1% = missing pieces 1% = cracked torsos Overall positive experiences, and so far the sellers have been very helpful with any problems so far and send out replacement/missing pieces or discounts, or partial/full refunds. And sometimes all of the above. I have only notified sellers about missing/wrong pieces and damaged pieces. I have not made any complaints about the nicks, stratches, or faded printing as that as the price of buying old used castle minfigures that are 5-20 years old. Something that I find odd. The sellers are all good feedback, but the same seller will have like new, light to heavy playwear, and even occasional damaged/faded torso minfigs in their store all as used. Perhaps they did not notice the defects or thought I wouldn't.
  23. I think it might be glare. but if there is indeed dust on the slopes, it gives it a nice touch in this case.
  24. yea the castle sets were great. wish I had gotten into lego earlier so I could get like 20 copies of the chess set and the final joust. of Royal Knights Fright Knights Dragon Master Samurai Robber and Star Wars Obi Wan Kenobo
  25. Another army coming up. My Fright Knights. Unfortunately the seller did not include the witch's cape.
