  1. I know for some its impossible like the rifle, and some its more stylish to have a non-smoothgrip like the Bow or Pirates theme sword. But some weapons like the Atlantis trident, some of the castle pikes, crossbow, and mace, the bottom of the weapon is not round, and I find it difficult to get the minifig hands to equip the weapon without noticeable "damage" to the weapon. I don't know if its the material of the accessory, but I always thought it was the non round edge that made it difficult to equip. I know for accesories with rounded grips/ends the accesories slide right into the hands without any trouble. And the non smooth grips like the bows or the pirates sword, the grips get even more noticeable damage on the grips. To minimize damage, I started leaving the weapon in the minfig hand and switch the hands.
  2. It would be nice if Kingdoms meant previous kingdoms and factions can reappear. It's probably not going to happen. But they did remake some classic castle minifigs in those vintage minifig collections. if they can remake them for those minifig packs, there isn't any reason why they can't remake them for the future lines. Although I guess the colors/etc won't match and lego enthusaists will complain about how the newer versions are inferior remakes, and other complaints. But I still think if they remade previous castle minifigs at least, it would sell a lot at least in the AFOL market. EDIT: A little off tangent analogy. Bandai makes the Gundam Model Kits. They keep on producing all their model kits as far as I know, includling the ones from the 70's. Now I know Lego can't do that (I even emailed them) because of changing colors, and brick molds being put out of production and other things. And Bandai doesn't push out as much product so I guess its easier for them to do so. But the point of this analogy is that they tend to sell a lot of duplicates. Looking at their Master Grade product lines, they have LOTS of Zaku II's and RX-78 (original Gundam) models. Those were the first two mobile suits that appeared in the very first episode. And maybe that's why they are so popular. But those must be their main selling models if they keep on making so many varient models. So I would think, if Lego reproduced previous minifigs like the classic castle, crusaders, forestmen, wolfpack, black falcons, and etc. I think a lot of fans would gobble them up. EVEN if they aren't the 100% same as the originals. And newer lego fans probably would like the chance of purchasing sets with revived themes that they missed out on. And for the younger children market where the parents buy for them, I doubt they would care about what kind of faction the castle sets are. So even if they can't make the same minifigs of older themes, they could make "updated" versions of them, and it would make most of their customers happy I imagine. Now I am not saying they shouldn't make new themes for castle, but there is no reason why they can't make both. Experiment with new historic themes, while throwing a bone to older fans every once in a while and make sets from older themes. Like they did shortly with the Legends line.
  3. Interesting point, they should make other kinds of horse armor. Have more barbaric or warrior like armor. The current horse armors look all regal like you said. Other horse gear would make them match well with the less royal minifigs like orcs and other "barbaric" minifigs.
  4. That's amazing. I always wanted to build a ship, but they are even harder than castle type structures and I stink at those.
  5. The Brikwars one is great.
  6. I like your ideas. Especially the minifig packs, and the castle creator sets or just more sets as high quality as the Medieval Market Village. If possible some sort of accessory pack for minifigs. Like extra weapons, armor pieces, helmets, heads, etc. And a horse type impulse set. Comes with a horse, saddle, maybe armor, etc. Or animal fig sets.
  7. I hope so. But having impulse or other similary cheap sets would boost variety like you mention for the wizards. Well I am thinking in the long run, they will make more wizard figures, so I can mix and match the new ones with the future ones. Plus I am currently too stubborn to order bricklink stuff. I prefer buying stuff from lego.com or amazon for the guaranteed quality and customer service. Orders being processed without further input from myself. And no hassle of using paypal. AND I have thing for repetition. It must be the child within me. But I like having multiples of the same minifig so that I can have 1 original at least, then the rest can be changed around for diversity.
  8. Does Lego ever make more than one wave of Impulse sets? Because I was hoping they were making something similar to The Good Knight. 2 helmets, 1 armor, 1 printed torso (compared to the other knights that had armor but no printed torso), and multiple weapons. Kind of makes the other impulse sets seem less "bang for the buck". Well I think I will order 5 of the wizards and jesters anyway. And probably buy some Harry Potter sets, and I can mix the wizards together to make a diverse group of wizards/mages/witches. They could be advisors or elite battle mages.
  9. you can stack plates (but not aligned or they will get stuck) and use it as a grip. I have found it to somewhat work.
  10. That's an excellent idea. I plan on picking up a few of those sets myself. They seem to compliment Castle well.
  11. You can stick to fantasy stereotypes, and have trolls with non troll mounts or just use giant trolls as cavalry. Or break them and have your trolls mounted on horses.
  12. I ordered 5 manta warriors. What are the chances of them making a minifig pack of the Atlantis aquatic minifigs? I want one of the octopus man but its currently too expensive.
  13. I feel the same way. On one hand I want to buy lots of minifigs. Specifically Castle. But I also want some diversity and get some pirates. I just ordered 5 manta warriors for coastal scenes. But on the other hand what's the point of having all these minifigs without any buildings/etc to supplement them. I think I am going to use a similar buying plan as towards the OP. Buy one of each set, then buy extras of the smaller sets for extra minifigs, horses, and maybe small structures. And the occasional Pirates sets for pirate minifigs, and other sets with minifigs that could pass off in castle.
  14. I like the horse saddle. Any chances of closer pics (like instructions maybe).
  15. Well I intend on purchasing at least one of each one. Probably multiples of the cheaper ones for more minifigs and horses. So no lack of sales coming from me.
  16. The farm impulse looks interesting. I don't intend on collecting city, but I guess I could buy it for the shovel, dog and pig. Not sure if the minifig would fit in castle themed though. I guess I could let my cousin play with it.
  17. Right, I forgot about that. Looks great integrated. And nice super squid in the other pic.
  18. I just cut them open. Even the punchout ones. It ends up looking ugly but I just don't like having a hole in the side.
  19. Mild soap and water to get rid of germs and dirt I guess. But make sure you use a toothbrush to dig into the corners and whatnot.
  20. That's pretty awesome. No use of the giant squid?
  21. I would get this set if it has some extra accessories. But I don't have a lot of spending money so unfortunately I will have to skip it and save up for upcoming castle sets. EDIT: I changed my mind. I ordered 5 Manta Warriors.
  22. Yea. The in game scale isn't consistent or accurate. Hell some of the missions take place inside battlecruisers, and science vessels. The marines and other ground units are the same size in the battlefield and inside the ships. I like the mutalisks. Any chances of other Starcraft related MOCs?
  23. Okay I added it in, if the staff deem one or both links against the rules, let me know and I will remove the offending link(s). For my youtube the first three videos were super short (like 3 seconds long) Lego stop motion videos. I hope to make more longer and complicated videos soon. EDIT: Well I just made a new post on my blog and its Lego centric. I think I will end up making Lego centric posts on the blog despite its title sounding unrelated to Lego. Now to start making some new videos.
  24. Yea that's why I made this topic. I want to make sure its allowed first.
  25. Hm, the impulse sets don't seem like you would want to buy multiples of it. At least not like the good knight impulse set. Although I guess multiple jesters (including the fantasy era one and I guess harley quinn) you can have a small entertainment group. I buy at least two of the wizard and jester. Probably more of the wizard than the jester.
