Nice review! Here are my remarks: When the first picures emerged on the internet i i was pleasantly surprised whith the colours, blue and grey. It may look a little dull, but it works. The tipping/(un)loading mechanism with the LA is a great feature. And it works smoothly. The built itself is not hard, but you got to keep focus to get it working. Overall you get a model with high playability. There are a few cons i've taken care of: The gears make a lot of rattling noises when stopping the motor too late. With the 24t gear replaced with a 24t clutch gear that is fixed. Controling the motor by the on/off button on the batterybox is hard. With a PF-switch that is "under control"! The rearview mirrors are mounted on the Cabin. A simple frame (Thanks Barman for the idea) on the door fixes that! With these MODs i'm more than happy...

Here a small collage i made on the 8051 B-model. Again it is a cool looking model. I build it without the stickers and the use of a non-printed "fueltank-bubble-thingy", which gives the model a MOC-look. The frame itself maybe a little flimsy, but i am so impressed with the look of the "harley-style" engine and the two-way belt-drive! @ Tomacwhite: don't really know what the second series of numbers means. Maybe it's an date important to the designer...

The 8043 set is said to be on backorder. Delivery on augustus 27th... Anyhow, get it while you can!

The B-model chopper of this years 8051 set is a real beauty!

@ Anio: Must be an typo if you check the prices in the rest of Europe. If you want to know for sure give S@H a call! So when it IS true, i guess S@H wont't be selling that much sets in France...

Read some rumours about 9 (NINE) new sets for 2011. 3 of theme were to be on display at LEGOWorld. But you know what they say about rumours: They are just rumours until somebody gets some conformation.... So lets just wait and enjoy the 2h2010 sets.

I totally agree! Lego is a BUILDING toy. By taking it apart, rebuilding it and "fiddling on" there are always ways to get the model working smoothly. That's why we all love LEGO. Don't give up!

It's is always fun to have a quick browse through this magazine. But i would have love to see something of a review of one of the 2h2010 technic models. Maybe in the next issue...

We all should take a stand on this kind of abuse to Lego-bricks. For me fire and Lego combined are a definate no-no!

Yesterday i got the first of 2 copies of the 8051. Built the a-model immediately. Great built! (It's an easy one but no less fun!) Great looks!(Highly "Swooshable"! and full of greebles and other trinkets.) The new rims are great, but i would have liked it if the rear wheel had a slightly wider tyre. (like the one in 8420) A fun detail is the Easter Egg on the speedometer. Can't wait for te second copy to arrive and have a go with the b-model!

@superkalle: Nevermind. Many of the parts are not available in the wanted colours. But... I'll keep on "MOD"ding with this fun model!

@ RohanBecket Thanks for rebuilding my LDD Police Bike "in the Flesh" You're right concerning your remarks. The frontfork should have a 4L axle instead of an 3L. And you've placed the TransOrange Lights in the lpace i've wanted them to be. But with the LDD you always have to get around the "impossible" buildingtechniques.... Keep me posted about the headlights... This Bike is so much fun! And it is great to re-MOD it over and over again. I've made 2 models myself... @SuperKalle: I'll will try it tomorrow!

The major problem is that i cant seem to create a XML file from the LDD-file. (And being new at BL i don't get how that works, but with a working XML-file i will get it working.)

Nice review! It kinda makes the wait for my copy (just another week......)a lot easier. Really love the 2way tipping/unloading of the model. For only €55 (at my duch webstore) it is a great buy considering it has PF and a LA.

Just made a small Technic Mod in LDD It is an police bike inspired by the 8045 b-model. Here is the LDD-file I would like to build it for real, so i've got to get me the parts at BL but i can get SuperKalle's LDD manager to work for me on this one. Anybody? (Just PM me!)

Any pics will do! 8052 8051 post as many as u want! BTW: For me a model is lame if there are designflaws in it, doesn't work well, or has no "look". For now i'll wait with further comments until my own copy arrives!

If i had found that model in time, i would have bought it on the spot.... On selling MOCs/MODs or other parts: NEVER Again. Had to sell my complete technic collection (20plus sets) in 1995 due to some moneyproblems for 300 Guilders... (aprox. 150 euro) It took me 1,000 euro to get them back....

I DO think that most of the minisets are great. The are nice models to get young(er) kids to get into Lego Technic. the two buildinginstructions don't matter.

It going to get so hard to vote for the AFOL Finalist at the end of the Technic Challenge.... (I wish TLG all the best in selecting the finalist...) Grohl has made an another awsome model! Really like the "night"pictures.

Whilst looking for a other file i did in LDD i came across the 8045 B-model. I forgot i did this one. Perhapes because it wasn't complete an had some faults. Now i repaired it and it is complete! Except for the known issues with some parts Check out the LDD file
