  1. Maybe by doubling the tracks you can use them as snowtyres?
  2. It does look cool and you did (considering the flaws/missing parts in LDD) a great job!
  3. @Merman: Please give us your LDD file on the 10215!
  4. @ZBLJ: Nice work on the 2011 model! But untill the buildinginstruction on this model are available it will be considered as illegal for this thread...
  5. Let's hope it sturdy enough to keep the kids in.....
  6. Usually we get a preview of the new (1h2011)sets at LegoWorld. Remember: it's only 7 weeks until december 16th. (The date that most of the dutch webshop set for a release-date.)
  7. @ Aanchir: No apologies needed... If someone can take out the errors i made; that's even better!
  8. New (and improved) La's have 36x0 and up... (t.i. 37x0, 38x0 and so on...)
  9. It is said that the packaging of the instuctions and stickersheet is only in sets over 800 pieces. But... It's a start!
  10. This model should be available at Lego designed by me! Or as a direct to customer set! or something like that. It looks great!
  11. Usually LEGOworld in the Netherlands shows some of the new technic sets. But so far i haven't seen them yet. Has anybody seen any new (and non-confidential) pictures yet?
  12. Sometimes stickers do add something to a model. And for the 8051 A-model they add a special thing to the model. But the B-model looks imo far better without the stickers and a non-printed red "bubble-canopy". @paul_delahaye: pictures please?
  13. The b-model is much more playable than the a-model! It uses only about half of the parts and the build isn't as challenging as the a-model. It works like a charm. (Even with the old LA's)
  14. Until now there is no way in seeing if a 8043 set is the "old" or the "new" without opening the set.
  15. @ Mostlytechnic: great review on a great set! @ ZBLJ: The rubber part is used in the a-model to compensate a "illegal" technique on the "cockpit". SATO's reply on the 8043 update tread... Strange that the customer service is telling him that they haven't had any complaints about the chain-drive and the new chainparts. I've been emailing and talking extensively to them about it! They even promised me that the issue about the chainparts would be discussed at the upcoming meeting of TLC Customer Service members and the Billund design-team.
  16. I've been one of the first to make a complaint* about the 8043 Excavator; I even received one (?????) LA to deal with the problem. Ofter various communications with TLG they put on their replacementpack list. But that was after a month of intensive writing and calling. * my first email is from august 5th.... I'm still waiting for my replacementpack! Note: The B-model works (with added panels and even with the old LA's) like a charm!
  17. @ZBLJ: Thes instructions you have found are the originals. Check page 41 en 45! The parts of the service pack are used on these pages Edit: you found it out yourself!
  18. i'd rather have a video on how to put in the extra parts that are mentioned in step 33 en 36... Changing the LA's is a piece of cake....
  19. It's not that strange. You can get stats on parts at bricklink. So he probably had essential parts used and found out that there is an increase in sales on those parts. But if anyone is trying to make a profit this way by selling complete sets that is certainly disturbing.
  20. I've read various reviews on the 8043 servicepack on which it was said that performance of the excavator increased massively with the new LA's. So i guessed it must have been the well-worn/heavily-used engines. Yet i can't confirm the above mentioned performance increase because I haven't received my SP yet. Made a call today to LEGO Customer Service on the servicepack delivery. It was said to be sent out in the next few days/weeks. "Multiple-thousand SP's are ordered; so you might have to wait a bit...." was their answer.
  21. nothing here either! It seems that the site hasn't been updated yet! Let wait for a few hours (days) before we all get grazy on this...
  22. Maybe a little phonecall to the guys and girls of the LEGO customer Service will solve your motor-problems.
  23. This bigger version was already on display at the Nuremburg Toy Fair in Febuary 2009! Never the less; it's a massive and impressive thing. (But i wouldn't have it on display in my house!)
