Is anyone familiar with this designer? What else did he make? -

In the just2good video, the designer said "they" didn't want to include the cow because it's in the castle. So I'm guessing nothing else is coming in that regard. It is what it is. If it would have been the same cow anyway, I guess it doesn't matter. I was just hoping for more new stuff. There's a bat lord/dragon sign on the back of the tree. I wonder if that's a clue that a Fright Knights set is eminent. -

I'm actually really surprised we didn't get a white horse here since the parts are already available in white. They just need to make a new print. The horse without the bridle isn't terribly useful to me. Maybe for having a couple in a stable, but that's about it. -

The thing about mom and dad leaving to get a cow seems to me to either be the designer being very disgruntled that his masterpiece was destroyed by bean counters at the last minute, or it he could be alluding to a future set. I'm leaning more towards him being disgruntled because he also seemed very annoyed by the stickers. I don't think he's happy with how this set turned out. He obviously had a much grander vision than what we actually got, and I feel sorry he's having to read so many negative comments when it clearly isn't his fault it ended up this way. I think this is actually a great set for what it is. I have no complaints about the build or the minifigures. I'm just disappointed by what's missing. I really wish we could get more unique molds for the castle theme, and I'd like to have horses in more colors. The traditional white and black horses are really expensive now on Bricklink. The black one is over $20! It would also be cool to have the old gray spotted horse remade with the new mold. (And, on that note, imagine how cool it would be to have the Indian horses with the new molds!) -

Interesting. It isn't a review. It's actually a reveal by the designer. When he was asked if the parts were printed, he said, "Too many stickers, I'd say." I guess the designer feels the same way as the rest of us. He also said this is the first queen's shield they've made. What makes it a queen's shield? Why did the queen's shield in 10305 not count? -

I wonder when the official reveal is coming. I thought they normally posted this stuff before noon eastern time. I hope the reviews are coming today. I'd really like to get a better look at the new parts. -

I think it's an amazing MOC, and I could even see that design being an official set. But there's no point in buying someone else's MOC. The main reason I buy sets is for the unique parts, and the Bricklink sets don't have any. I would rather see it in someone's display at a show than build it myself. -

I agree. Imagine how much better this would be if it was half a dozen $50-$75 sets instead. -

I'm not sure which one Pieta is referring to. The green door is brick built, and it looks great to me. But the photo of the boy at the stove has a door on a standard frame and I don't recognize the part. It looks like it could be a new mold, but I could be wrong. -

I was wondering about that door also. I don't think there's a clear photo of it. I don't recognize it. I'm very much looking forward to the New Elementary review. I'm more interested in new parts than I am in the actual build. There may be some great new parts here we haven't seen yet. -

The flags are clearly stickers, which is disappointing, but I would have accepted that if there were more animals or something. It seems like we just lost a lot of what the designer originally intended. Paper pushers turned what would have been the set of the year into an "I could possibly pass on this and not regret it." I love the purple minifigure. I'll buy a lot of those from PAB. It's also great to see Wolfpack return. Those two things are the highlight of the set for me. The minifigures here are great, but I was still hoping for something more, like a new plume, the double axe torso, or a recolor of the forestmen hat. And I never imagined there wouldn't be a single large animal. I think the designer did a fine job, but someone in management slashed his budget at the last minute and we were left with an incomplete set. What do people make of the new shield? Is it supposed to look unfinished? It doesn't really match any of the minifigures. -

Is there any possible way that wagon wheel is brick built, or did they really waste a new mold on that? I'm so confused. -

They reused a lot of techniques from 10305. It kind of feels like 50% of this set was copied and pasted, such as the good cart, the tower, the tudor houses, and the minifigures. Why does it look like the wagon wheel is missing a spindle? The closer I look, the more it appears this way to me. -

To be honest, this is somewhat underwhelming. It's not horrible like the Majisto set, but nothing here is really calling to me to buy this set. I'm also disappointed with the lack of animals. We already got the goat in the CMF. I'd much rather have something more useful, like a new color on the cow or the return of the white or black horse, which are both expensive now. It's hard to make out what the minifigures look like. Hopefully there are some good parts there. And maybe there's something exciting inside the buildings. I was really hoping for something that would stand out to me, like a yellow forestmen hat, a new cow, or something. The buildings are just ok from what I see so far. I've probably just gotten myself too hyped up, as usual. Hopefully there's a lot more we can't see in this photo. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I expect red will show up in a non-GWP set. White wouldn't have been my first choice, personally, but I would prefer red, yellow, and black to show up in a set that's easier to obtain. I was excited about the prints at first, but the slope on the small ship looks like a sticker to me, and that would make sense considering how many parts have the logo on them. -

I just got my November 17th order today. The box had a huge hole in it and the main bag was damaged. Thankfully, all of the parts were accounted for. -

That's interesting. Is it normal for them to post pictures of parts that are no longer available? I know that store displays are restricted to only the currently available parts. This could indicate that a Fright Knights set is coming. It would be amazing if they brought back the original dragon mold. -

Someone on Reddit showed that they used a small camera to look through the corner. I don't want to install some shady app on my phone, so I ordered an otoscope. I'm curious to see how well this works. I hope it doesn't require stretching the hole. There are a lot of crappy otoscopes on Amazon. I found one where all of the top reviews were very obviously written by ChatGPT. (The "in conclusion" section is a dead giveaway!) I haven't gotten mine yet, but from what I can tell, Doctor Mom is the brand you want to buy for home use. It's a little pricier than the scale, but if this works, it will result in a 100% success rate. -

What scale did you use? -
It's worth noting that the white classic space minifigure is not being removed from PAB despite the red one being removed. Why would this be unless they're going to reuse that minifigure?

I also liked Rogue One, although I wonder if I actually liked the story or if I was enthralled by the returning characters. I need to watch it again and see how it stands up today. I haven't seen it since it was new. And it's already been 7 years since it came out? That's crazy.
