Their helmets were always really bulky though I've never seen one in person to know how large. Gives sortve a bobble head appearence. I don't know people really hated the newest Darth Vader Helmet initially and now its considered one of the best figures.
-
The new helmets look good from angles other then the front but then again I think that's true in the original moviea as well. Ultimately I'm happy the helmet has been updated though we'll only know how good the mold is once someone has them in hand and posts pics. I never really collected the pilots since Ive been feeling an update was years due, especially with the U-Wing pilot but I feel the pain of those who collected them. I might feel the same if Lego ever updates stormtroopers or Imperial Officers. I will say this through, the leaps forward in quality are far less significant this time around then previous updates. The quality of most current figures is going to hold for a long time until arm and side leg printing become common as well as printing on dual molded legs. The new helmets also might look really really good ontop of the current faces with printed on visors.

Ouch why is the landing craft so expensive? This is the first year I want multiple expensive sets. X-Wing, Sandcrawler, Hoth Sickbay, Imperial Landing Craft... Disagree but I guess it's subjective. I think it looks messy in photos but will look much better in person like Emperor's Throne Room. ~ Advent Calender truly has the worst selection of figures, only Merrick and Guavian Death Gang Member. -

Rogue One X-Wing is also fairly different model as well. There was a really good blog that tracked the Millenium Falcon, and during Rogue One, X-Wings and noted the differences. I believe the Rogue One variant is shaped differently from the cockpit back to the engines. It's also how fascinating the Falcon changed over the films with some significant alterations. I'll see if I can find a link. -

They start popping up some places June typically but I'm used to actually seeing them in the States around July. With the Solo wave just releasing last month, the Summer wave may bleed into the Fall however, at least the adsitional Solo sets. -

Summer confirmed: Anakin's Starfighter X Wing Sandcrawler Showdown with Enfy's Nest (or similar name) from Solo. Train fight scene from Solo. Snoke's Throne Room. As for rumors: Resistance Transport. There's a rumored Cloud City Playset floating around also. It's supposedly in line with the other players so far produced with a center area and then extending platforms with a miniature Slave 1. Lando and Boba Fett only two figs known. -

Clever strategy. Typically that's how most seem to go but from now on I think people will be a bit more vigilant. -

Actually that's a fantastic compromise. Could absolutely work. If I get my hands on an extra copy of Luke's robe I may attempt this. My only concern with the stretchy material is how long will it last? Will it be prone to significant deterioration over time? -
I badly want dual molded legs for Han Solo classic with side printing. Come on Firestar! I would tend to agree.

Overcoats are absolutely doable but the only problem is they typically require the use of holes on the fabric placed at the arm sockets. Removing and placing arms, such as to attach an overcoat, can potentially cause fractures even when done properly. I'm convinced this is the only reason we haven't got an overcoat fabric piece and may never unless some fix to the fracture problem is figured out. Still there are a couple third party vendors I believe that sell overcoats. Or you could take a cape piece and alter it. I've done that a few times to fantastic results. I can post a couple pictures if you're interested in how they look. -
Imperial Officers Mafia - Conclusion
Forresto replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What an incredible game, and the first game of mafia I've managed to survive on here or in real life. Between Thrawn and Ozzel I'm realizing I need to trust my gut more in these games. @mediumsnowman the attempt to make the Ozzel vote seem like a band wagon was too alarmist and clued some of us in. You wouldve probably been fine though if you had seemed more reticent on who to vote for the next day. Your actions with Tarkin 100 percent sealed your fate once he flipped town. ~ Bob please do a sequel, this was a ton of fun with the Star Wars theme. -
I know its not quite the answer you were looking for but having built it I can add the model doesnt look bad with the gaps. With Lego there will always be some compromise made due to limitatioms with bricks but if you compare TLG's Tie to Jerac's you'll see how minor a compromise that gap really is.

Imperial Officers Mafia - Day Four

If you are loyal, it's been an honor. If you are a traitor then we'll be sure to reunite you with any remaining rebel scum as quick as possible. -

I actually quite like Enfy's Nest's figure. The helmet should have more printing but I don't think it's as bad as some on Instagram are main it out to be. I don't know, it might be dissapointing in person. -

Could be inexperience. Could be malevolent. Either way we'll know tomorrow. I don't think much else is going to happen today, the major players who chose to make claims have and there's no way Thrawn won't get lynched. Unless we still want analyze what information we have. I'm in no rush to end the day it just seems like most have made up their minds with little chance of change. -
Imperial Officers Mafia - Day Four
Forresto replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
In prior games I've been in the situation of having my back to the corner about to be lynched, and was town the entire time and in that game we lost. That's my justifiction for voting Needa because I believe Dellus might be telling the truth. If he were lying it would do little but delay the inevitable end of the Mafia. On the other hand think about it this way, if Thrawn is scum then don't we by extension assume Dellus is as well? That means we won't tonight. I don't understand how this idea of a godfather came about. Do we have evidence thats even in play? Look either way both Needa and Thrawn die today, with the day closing I just wanted to get that last bit out in case I don't survive the night. -

Forresto replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's hard because with all the evidence on the table it feels 50/50 whose scummy and whose not. I have a sense Thrawn is more likely innocent given the new information, but with two days devoid of scum kills I'm nervous. Im certain someone is lying and I think tomorrow morning we'll know who one way or another. -

Vote: Needa (Khscarymovie4) for the aforementioned reasons in my last two posts based on new evidence brought up by Dellus and others. -
Imperial Officers Mafia - Day Four
Forresto replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
*I said Veers but I meant Dellus, those bucket helmets and vapid expressions blend together. The safest thing to do is for us to lynch Needa and for the vigilante to kill Thrawn. It'll potentially undo Dellus or Piett. ~ Well if they do have a converting ability how does that work? Is it every other night or do they have the option to kill or convert each night? If it's the latter option its possible the scum weren't blocked but instead replenished their numbers the moment they knew Ozzel was dead which would explain the lack of the scum killing the previous two nights. -
Imperial Officers Mafia - Day Four
Forresto replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wouldn't it be safer to lynch Needa and have the Vigilante kill Thrawn, sortve a nuke from orbit is the only way to be sure kindve deals? If there is only one scum left we win. If there is more then one traitor and Thrawn flips scum then we know Veers is lying and if Needa flips town then Piett comes under suspicion. Is there anyone who can corroborate this? I'm inclined to believe you for today since we'll know the truth of your allegience either way tomorrow. -

Forresto replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I dont really suspect you that much, I just wanted to vocalize a healthy dose of cynicism. Your information may tip the balance of who gets lynched today and Komec's traitorous nature was rather unexpected. Most evidence seems to point to your loyalty to the Empire so I consider you a low priority. Hopefully only one. The idea there could be three more traitors after three have been eliminated thus far is harrowing to the least. -
Imperial Officers Mafia - Day Four
Forresto replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
As of right now my main suspicions lie with Thrawn, Needa, and due to his admitted involvement Piett since this sudden information gives him a lpt of power topotentially manipulate the story, although I am less concerned by the latter. I am not commited to either Thrawn or Needa yet. How many scum are left, just one? Or more? Do we have anyway of knowing? Upon review i'd agree, he played it well. If not for the vigilante suspecting and acting Komec likely would have eluded our grasp for some time with our attention more firmly on Thrawn and others now. *To clarify. In my opinion Thrawn or Needa are the two current options for the lynch but I'm undecided as to which is scummy. While I did hammer Thrawn yesterday towards the end I'm not so certain given new information. -

Wow. Unfortunate about Tarkin, never felt convinced enough of his supposed scumminess to vote for him and I was right. Komec is a bit of a shock. Will have to go through the last few days and see if he's said anything suspicious. What a wild turn of events these past two nights have been.
