That's why I always include coniferous trees in my mocs, but there is even more ... Those familiar with the Northamerican Pacific Northwest will know that there are temperate rainforests all the way up into Alaska, a biom that once existed in Norway as well. It's development was caused by the warm currents that stream North along the West Coast of the continents. On the other hand, the East Coasts of the continents are much more frigid.

Great moc! Nice landscaping and interesting action going on. I'm not really fond of fleshies, but I guess that that is just a personal thing. If you want to you can already make this part of our new Mitgardian Community Build.

Therefore I announce the: Landscapes of Mitgardia Community Build Task: - Build a typical landscape that can be found in Mitgardia using a, at the max., 32*32 baseplate, or an irragular base of similar size. - You are to pick one of the large regions mentioned in the Mitgardia introduction thread (Frozen Beyond, Mountains, Tundra etc. ...) and show that Mitgardia is a country of natural beauty and diversity unmachted by any of the other three regions found on Historica. Avalonia has got ... grass Kaliphlin has got ... sand Nocturnus has got ... swamps We've got: temperate rainforest, old growth oak forest, pine forest, birch forest, tundra, lakes, mountain meadows, mountain peaks, glacial valleys, fjords, fjell, caves ... you name it! Also think of possible animals that could inhabit these landscapes (mammoths, moose, bears, saber cats. yetis etc.) Award: This is not a challange but a community build! This means it's an ongoing project in which you are to build for the glory of Mitgardia and not for personal gain. However, the best Mocs will be added to the Mitgardian frontpage where they will eventually replace the pictures that you can currently find there! Participation: As the title already says, this is a community build for Mitgardia. So in order to participate you need to sign up for Mitgardia and swear your loyalty to the Northern Guild. Member of other guild may participate but their free build points will be scored for Mitgardia. As long as criticism remains constructive I think its okay. I for instance always found your comments refreshingly straight which helped me a lot. So as long as criticism is acompanied with advice its the best way to help others improving.

It is really amazing what The goh experience has done to many of us! Awesome build, great story and many nice things to look at! The only minor complaint that I have would be lighting but that's gonna be a different story. Niku you have really outdone yourself with this moc!

Nice moc to finally start your full GoH experience which is actually more about building than talking Anyway, a few things you could improve: - try to get red-brown and dark-brown tiles and tile the ground. That way your bar would look like it's got a wooden floor. - try not to rely to heavily on prefab pieces, and get full arches instead. That way you can make the window design more interesting - build a (modular) roof - There are several ways to do one. The easiest way are of course sloped bricks. Try to mix colors there as well. Black goes really well with dark bley which creates a slate roof effect. Red and dark red mixed create the effect of a wheathered roof tile roof. Dark tan plates simulate a straw or reed roof.

well, that makes things easier once we have to chose sides! Varlyrian renegade sellswords threaten savety in Mitgardia and the drow have tried to cross our border more than once. So, Say no to Drow! (just aquired three black heads that need to be chopped off at some point)

now which side in this planned civil war would the drow actually be on?
