Latest news about Lego animal moulds

Apparently Lego puts a lot of time and thought into their pricing - sadly most of this time appears to be spent thinking how best to rip off fans.- 5,756 replies

Complaint sent by me too, albeit I don’t have a camel because Lego put these behind a licensed set and we haven’t seen them since. Do we know when the vending machine figs will be available?- 5,756 replies

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
lifeinplastic replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I’ve all of sudden decided I don’t need any arctic foxes. They don’t really feature in any planned MOCs any way, particularly as most stuff I want to build has a Paradisa/beach vibe! I wonder if the arctic train set hasn’t sold as well as they’d hoped (it is ridiculously expensive for what it is) and so making the PAB foxes so expensive, they hope people will resort to buying the set. I was going to buy it when I first saw it but the price has made me realise I don’t really need it. Getting a bit fed up really - I am at the point where I have enough Lego and not enough space for much more so I will only buy a set if there are sufficient number of useful and desired parts in comparison to the cost. It’s why I like smaller wildlife sets like the crocodiles, sheep tractor and seals.- 5,756 replies

Can I also suggest putting more info in the thread title so people know exactly what you want to discuss. This is the 2nd thread you have started about the same thing without any clear title but those who may be able to answer your query might not read it at all if they don’t know what is enclosed within.

Guessing Game - Minifigure Collectibles Series 29
lifeinplastic replied to Lion King's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah - I was thinking more Warhammer Tomb Kings as I’d like more Egyptian stuff but thought it best to stay vague in case it’s something more vampire realm or pirates! -

Canadian Mountie (hopefully with beaver) Cricket Player (perhaps too niche for non-cricketing nations but we need a cricket bat) Dwarf King Flight Attendant Gondolier Greek/Roman God Prof Kilroy/Charles Lightning Adventurers Tribute Shepherd Sorceror Space Alien Undead Warrior Wildlife Photographer (was going to say Zookeeper but not sure if that fits with Lego’s current guidelines regarding captive animals). It will be a disgrace not to have a new animal again. I’m hoping wombat, sea lion, tapir or baby hippo. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I wonder if there were any other Vidyo moulds not released and therefore more instruments hiding. Probably would have seen them by now though I guess. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
lifeinplastic replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Do the modulars ever include new moulds? Just wondering if a music shop could provide us with new instrument moulds. A proper trumpet or something to add to make a brass band or orchestra would be nice. I'm not really at all worried about how good the building looks overall as I don’t really want to display anything that I haven’t created myself but hope there will be some decent and unique parts, plus also the modulars usually provide a range of bricks in rarer or newer colours plus hopefully some useful printed tile parts. -
Lego City 2026, Leaks, Rumours and Discussion
lifeinplastic replied to Izzynufc-2's topic in LEGO Town
I would love it if one of the trains was an Australian Outback train - a bit like the Ghan or Indian Pacific with some kangaroos. -
If the building is multiple use, I quite like the idea of an Optician’s (if it came with a printed Snellen Chart tile e.g. with the decreasing letter sizes). A paychiatrist’s office with the cliché of a couch would also fit in nicely with Lego’s values of inclusiveness (it’s OK to not be OK). A Travel Agency would be my pick provided there were lots of printed tiles representing a large map of the world, plus numerous travel posters showing exotic or iconic destinations (nothing naff like Legoland though please).

I had been waiting to get some gorillas 🦍 but was reluctant to spend big to buy the set with a helicopter I didn’t really need. However, on Pick a Brick all the baby gorillas were never in stock and now they don’t appear to be available at all! I have therefore caved and bought the set at a reduced cost from a certain delivery service (I know I’m a terrible person), so tomorrow I will finally be a proud gorilla Dad. Just a warning to anyone else as I don’t know how long the set will be available. Personally I hope the gorillas will return one day but they may end up like the camels never to be seen again!- 5,756 replies

Lego City 2026, Leaks, Rumours and Discussion
lifeinplastic replied to Izzynufc-2's topic in LEGO Town
The sets with subtheme outside the City usually appear in the summer releases so hopefully we will get some better opportunities for animals then. I keep saying it but Lego needs to really crack on with a Savannah subtheme. We have seen more frequent animal releases in recent years but the fact there is no hippo, giraffe, rhino or zebras yet is a glaring omission in terms of Lego animal availability. I’m sure these four won’t all be released in one wave, so we need to visit Africa soon so that even if two are introduced, it won’t be a decade before we get the other two. Plus, many other perhaps less iconic African wildlife like gazelles, buffalo, hyenas, meerkats, okapi, warthogs, honey badgers still would be missing. -

Yeah but unlike all those big ungulates you list, a tapir could nicely fit in a CMF package. Now if only Lego had an idea to make some sort of Animal Themed Minifigure Series, wouldn’t that big a great idea? 🤔🙄😭- 5,756 replies

I like the printed 1x1 round tile in the Black Pearl. Hopefully it won’t be deemed as licensed and will be available on PAB.

Capybaras (adult and baby) please. i didn’t think red pandas would ever exist and tapirs and anteaters both exist in Playmobil so I’m going to sulk if they don’t happen! I also want the return of the toucan. Amazon Adventurers reboot please!- 5,756 replies

Let’s hope for Summer 2026 Lego City visits a location with potential for multiple new animal moulds (e.g. North American National Parks, Amazon Rainforest, African Savannah, Australian Outback)…- 5,756 replies

If these relate to the a World Cup, I hope we get some printed flag pieces for the countries involved. if they are generic sports, I hope we get some of the missing equipment (e.g. cricket bats and the medal piece in silver and bronze). A golf cart would be good too.

An excellent idea - would love more train options. We don't need a huge train set every time with one front engine and two carriages. I wish Lego was more like Hornby in selling individual sets (so you could buy as many carriages as you liked to extend the trains without repeating the front). Plus, adding more variety of track, bridges, signal boxes, smaller rural stations and scenery (e.g. fields with sheep, cows). Lots of varieties of train from steam engines to Wild West and modern Amtrak (I'd love the California Zephyr having taken my parents on a trip there a couple of years ago). -

A rather poor choice of year to do so, given the CMF animal theme! I'm hoping that it means an actual future animal themed CMF (e.g. all animal accessories) is still a possibility, as if we had seen some animals here (a bit like the weird Space mish-mash one), this possibility may have been less likely for the future. I don't trust Lego at all to do this though...- 5,756 replies

Latest news about Lego animal moulds

Well that sucks big time. Lego City better be visiting the Savannah next summer... By the way, whenever I visit the Lego site and they ask for feedback I always comment about the absence of so many key animals (even though they are asking for feedback on the site). I'd urge all animal fans to do likewise... Some say pessimistic, I say realistic!- 5,756 replies
