  1. Great work marshal banana (nice name ). I love the broken tree trunk. You've really captured the feel of the movie with this MOC.
  2. Great review Sieggy! Very thorough. I think Square have done a good job making a RPG that is both accessible to newcomers (er hem, myself included), as well as being challenging enough for FF veterans. Shedding the whole select-move-for-each-character turn based system for the paradigm system makes combat fast and furious. I do kind of miss the multiple summons per fight that happened with previous FF games, but other than that I have little complaint. Oh, except that there should be more scenes with Snow being shirtless. I must say, I'm surprised how much criticism FFXIII has received in reviews for being so linear. It's like the gaming world has developed a huge aversion to linear, story-telling games. What, games aren't allowed to tell stories anymore? Should all games become GTA style, where you're let loose on the sandbox, to kick over as many sand castles as possible, only maybe the way you kick over those sand castles differs?? And then all those weedy guys who get sand kicked in their faces, what do they do?? Take some muscle growth powder/steriods, do a few push-ups, and then return to the beach to get their revenge?? It's all true, I saw it depicted on the back of Archie comics many times, next to the ad for Sea Monkeys. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't think all new games need to be open world, sand castle-kicking fests. Okay, I have to go now, I'm getting flashbacks...
  3. Great MOC, I can almost hear the "whirr whirr" (?) sound just looking at it! Any plans to do a MOC of the interior?? That would look so sweet, especially if you do the classic old style TARDIS interior, with gleaming white walls and sigh, roundelles (am not a fan of the new TARDIS interior...grr) (Russell T Davies needs to be poked with sticks, but that's a story for another time).
  4. Awesome photos. It's so cool to see people being brought together by a common interest. Gives me hope for the world (sniff)...
  5. Well done Oky! And thanks Sieggy for making this contest happen.
  6. Awesome MOC BaronSat! I love the comic-book/cartoon feel to this creation. It does make one wonder though, why does the Justice League tower have to be so tall? Are there actually offices in that impressively tall structure? Nice custom figs too!
  7. Great work Brickster. Nothing says "nautical" like a riveted porthole I really liked the Aquaraiders theme. To me, there's something extra special about Lego underwater themes. Do you plan to photo edit any other Aquaraider sets?
  8. Great work M longer! It's a perfect model, and it's so cool that you provide comparison shots.
  9. Awesome review Copmike! I'm so glad Lego are maintaining a medieval/fantasy line like this (although I am a bit bummed out by the lack of elves ). The helmets are gorgeous, and with plumes no less. Ah, at last our search for plumes will be at an end...
  10. Fabulous work Benny. There is so much detail here, it takes a while to absorb it all. I love the colour scheme of the building, and all the awnings. The printed lock piece on the bike is a thing of beauty.
  11. What a cool comic! You obviously had strong feelings about working at TRU. I wish I could draw that well, it would have saved so many bad poems from being written (for the safety of humanity, these painful pieces of prose shall forever be locked away in my cupboard)... Thanks for sharing!
  12. Wow, this is so exciting! And to think I had doubts about Lego taking up the PoP licence (bows head in shame). At this rate, I might even go and see the movie! Great work on the skin and banner Hinckley! It's the bomb.
  13. Great review, Rapseflaps! I love the simple charm of the older sets, with all the classic smiley faces. And while I'm not adverse to the Octan logo and colour scheme, I kinda miss the Shell references. And thank you for sharing that lovely photo. What a cute little boy! Okay, I'm going to bliss out now...
  14. You know the world is going to hell in a hand basket when you're censored for typing the names of fruit...
  15. "Ignorance" and "Hindsight" are my favourites. Demotivational posters rock! Yeah...
  16. Gorgeous MOC Benny! I love the edging of the roof and facade, and all the details you've managed to cram inside. Great work!
  17. Happy Birthday Jipay! Have a great day!
  18. Great review Z06! We were very fortunate to score a heap of Aquazone sets from a seller on ebay who must have been cleaning out his closets or something. Ah, good times... There were so many interesting pieces in the theme, like those crazy hexagonal columns and huge cockpit pieces. I love the trans orange colour, it's so pretty... Can't wait for the other reviews.
  19. Great review Sieggy! Hopefully they plan to bring out another line of figures, with at least one female minifig doll... Just imagine all the "innocent" fun you could have...cough...
  20. Awesome remake, Mr Tools. They need a whole fleet of these to help clean up after those naughty alien outlaws.
  21. OmiGod, where can I get this? It's Tron, it's really him (passes out from bliss)...
  22. Awesome MOC. I can just imagine dwarves building something as audacious as this for their front door.
  23. Thanks for the great review, Clone O Patra. What a magnificent looking castle. I so can't wait for the Prince of Persia line to be released.
  24. Is it just me, or does that bear look evil? And the insect man, oh my gosh, the fun you could have with him...
  25. Great work Svelte, GE is definitely good for modular building, although I can't help but think you're itching to do GEx4, especially with the "Portal" like catacombs. With regard to the dodgy photoshop piece, I can just imagine a mini-fig version of Kylie Minogue skipping out of the building singing "Come into my World"...
