  1. What I've seen so far of the upcoming Space Police looks very promising. I love the Pit Stop set, and the Smash and Grab is droolsome. Pur, pur, purple!! After hearing all those worrying stories about purple being phased out, I'm so glad they appear to be unfounded.
  2. Wow, amazing construction Nexus7. The offset tiles on the walls work really well, and I love the green and tan colour scheme. Proper job!
  3. Amazing MOC SlyOwl. You've really captured the spirit of the song. The old woman looks so mean! And that's a very nice bucket. For any "Big Train" fans out there...Streets of London!!
  4. The new sets look interesting. I love the shade of green they've chosen for Wench, Rench, Ranch? It's good they've given the cops beefier-looking helmets, these aliens are baaad news amigos. Still, I can't help but feel they are helpless pawns, serving some evil mastermind who is the true villain in this whole story... That would be a cool set, the space police finally locate Bad Guy HQ, and find the man/alien pulling the strings, some really outlandish dude with tons of tentacles, a slug-like body, and at least three eyes... Oh yeah...
  5. Oh no dear, I didn't notice that at all There's nothing suspicious at all about the way you keep scanning the boxes whenever we're out shopping...
  6. That's how we got ours. After eying it off for ages, we finally stumbled across it at almost half price in Big W. The dampened movement of the wing is very cool.
  7. Great work Penguin! You have been a busy busy bee, I mean bird. I love the fact that you're lavishing attention on both classic 60s Batman, and my personal favourite, the animated series (although Batman: the Brave and the Bold is surprisingly decent). I love Harlequin's new outfit, very saucy, and the Ventriloquist is a hoot. My only reservation is Clayface, but he has to be one of the hardest characters to represent in Lego form, especially at that scale.
  8. This line promises to be very interesting. My initial reaction to hearing about a Prince of Persia theme was "er, what the..?", but after seeing the photos, I can happily say that I'm excited. The head gear is all so interesting, the girl's a babe, and there are ostriches!! May there be many sequels, and sets to match.
  9. Nice MOC Penguin! Now I really want that set! The sad jester face works so well, and the Queen, she's gorgeous. Must admit, I'm curious what happens next...hmmm...
  10. Great review Lorentzen, thank you for the flash-backs!
  11. Thank you for allowing Darth to show his softer side. He's just so misunderstood (mostly by himself!). Good work Peppermint M!
  12. Darn, I wish they'd give away free LEGO with our newspapers! I think I'll just go and sulk in the corner now...
  13. Very cool MOC! After watching the new Star Trek movie, I'm all hyped up for Star Trek themes. I love the details with the bridge and mess areas, and to be honest, I kinda like the cute little shuttle poking out the back. Live long and prosper!
  14. SB seasons one to three are hilarious. I was all keen to order season 4 online, when I read a review saying that SB jumps the shark in season 4. So instead, I tentatively brought "Karate Island", and I have to say, the show just doesn't have the same feel at all. As for the movie, it was such a shame they gave Sandy and Mrs Puff such token roles, and felt the need to bring in some big name actors (although Hasselhof is terrific, always so happy to parody himself ). As for bondage artwork, err,
  15. Great MOC benny. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first, with the mixture of colours and slope pieces, but the more I looked, the more I liked. I like all the different planes you achieve with the nose, and the transformation is neat. Great use of basic bricks.
  16. Mental note: Don't let my kids see that photo, or they may get ideas. No way I'm as talented as the person who made that suit, it's really good!
  17. Congratulations Svelte on the promotion. So, are you going to go for the "iron fist" approach, or the modern, softly-softly-let's-talk-about-this-'til-hairs-grow-out-my-ears approach? Personally, I think iron fists rule. Yay, go the iron fist, whoo!!!
  18. OmiGod. I saw the "Like a rhinestone cowboy", and just had to click on it. Amazing MOC SlyOwl...there is just so much going on here. Very clever to have such an innocent looking outside, and then BAM! I'm a bit confused about the guy on the far left holding the chain...he must be getting ready to make his big move. Bravo, bravo!
  19. Cool MOC CanX, nice to see such a beefy-looking, yet still futuristic tank. The colour works beautifully, and the maple leaf pieces are a nice touch.
  20. Happy Birthday Bonaparte! May you be showered with lego and cake!
  21. I have to admit, after starting that thread in a gush of girly enthusiasm, I am scratching my head over other Indy candidates for UCS sets. They could do the submarine he hitches a ride on, although the sub doesn't feature that prominently in the movie. Deep down, I just want to see a large scale Zepplin done as a set. Thanks for reminding me about the UCS Batmobile. We got that on sale at Toyworld. It actually looks a lot better "in the flesh", so to speak ("in the brick"?).
  22. Aw aw aw, I just had the bestest idea ever while discussing Lego with the Walrus...wait for it...an UCS set of the Zeppelin for movie 3. That would be so cool! I say UCS because to get the scale right, it would have to be decently big. And why should Star Wars get all the UCS love? What do all you cool lego lovers think? I eagerly await your input...
  23. Great work Alexandertam. I love the bag pipes and tyre hats. If only the blue coat colonel had been able to explain what he meant...that would be an awesome scene too, the blue coats and the red coats getting smashed together in a suitably rough-looking tavern. Can't wait for the next installment.
  24. Unfortunately no, we only discovered Ratchet and Clank when we got our PS3 and downloaded the demo. Yes, I'm starting to get the impression you are really excited about mini ninjas. I think we may have downloaded the teaser of mini ninjas. It looked awfully cute and er, ninja-ish.
  25. Thanks for the link DarthSion. The new R and C game looks awesome. I really enjoyed playing Tools of Destruction while quote, helping the kids, along with Quest for Booty (haven't finished either yet, we're in the middle of too many games). I concur with the walrus, the new Batman game looks amazing. I tried out the Dissidia demo yesterday, on the PSP, and it really had me twitching for more.
