  1. Beautiful station !! Really nice colours and harmonic proportions ...
  2. Rock falling function is probably connected to one of the new special track pieces, so immediately after the train has passed it, the rocks fall down... And one image do support a possibility for the continued use of PuP LED, as the locomotive's lights are lit up.
  3. Of course it looks "cool" with that amount of snow...😂
  4. 0-6-0 design ?? Have we studied different pictures? As I see it, that's a typical Bo-Bo locomotive, that is a loco with two two-axle bogies. Train motor rear, and front bogie almost invisible behind snowplow and splashing snow....
  5. Yes the portal window looks like taylor made specifically for my DkGreen Rc locomotive 😁 Hope it'll show up at the pick a brick sortiment eventually.
  6. Something I've learned the past 30 years as a Lego train afol are the fantastic adaptation skills in this community. Each change of electric/electronical generation (4,5V -> 12V -> 9V -> PF -> PuP -> nn...) has been gradually accepted and creative people made good use of what was currently available. So I'm not too troubled about PuP possibly retiring. Some Afols will stay with an "old" system, some will "combine" systems and some will embrace the "new".... Even if TLG would discontinue the train theme as such, there are already several 3rd party suppliers that can step in and fill the space....
  7. Breathtaking collection.....and nice to see your dedication for these old treasures 😇
  8. Lovely coach 🙌👍💪
  9. Over at the Technic theme group, there's a vivid discussion about PuP.....seems as for 2025 only the (physically) large "Porsche hub" with integrated motors&led:s will be included in high end Technic sets .. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=103479c01#T=C&C=86 Given the fact Lego train is a diminishing niche within TLG:s portfolio, I wonder if this is the end for sales and development of new specific train motorization... (current PuP beeing the last generation). TLG could still develop and sell unmotorized push along train sets. Like Orient Express ... Aficionados will have no problem powering them by using old stuff or 3rd party solutions...
  10. Cutie 🥰 Lovely nostalgic vibes.... !!!
  11. I saw today that there has been a clearance sales on shop@home for the 2ch Powered Up hub....88009....50% off, and now out of stock. This is the Swedish s@h website... https://www.lego.com/en-se/product/hub-88009
  12. I really like it ! Realistic design and colors.. .the yellow details makes it pop 👌👍🙌
  13. Really great model, excellent design and color scheme. A tad too wide for my taste 😁 but what a looker on the shelf 💪👍👌🙌
  14. My gut feeling is that it is a bit exaggerated to try to match dual motors based on week/year manufacturing info. I have three locomotives equipped with Powered Up dual train motors, and I've never noticed any running issues. For any person really requiring an optimised duo of motors, I think each motor performance should be measured electronically and then paired with a similar "twin", rather than trusting the manufacturing dates...
  15. Yeah, that might be true, although it is not specifically stated.. Anyhow, 4586 + red striping looks the part, I've got that on my little Knapsack tanker engine 🚂
  16. Perhaps a silly question...but can't you use 4586 (from Orient express) which effectively is a 9L thin beam...?(!)
  17. Just to elaborate : Light bluish gray = Medium stone. Dark bluish gray = Dark stone. And as said, this is the Lego train track nuance. In addition, most aficionados put tiles 1*1 and 1*4 on top of dark bluish gray plates. I'd say reddish brown is most common tile colour, but some use black or light bluish gray. Depends on your taste / or what your fellow trainheads use, should you make a collaborate display. Example photo
  18. Nicely designed and built. Despite the "small" width you captured it really well. The round side windows are really a classic detail for several SJ/ASEA locomotives.
  19. If you "insist" having a 3-axle bogie, I lean towards your option #4, meaning a std 2-axle train motor + a trailing single axle. There are many benefits using std train motors:1) Reliability (you avoid chasing gearing parts that falls off, or crushed gears) 2) Compactness (plus simple plug&play installation). 3) Speed. 4) Cost. Some objects that technic motors + lower gearing means more strength (pulling power), but my personal experience is that a locomotive with 2x train motors gives enough pulling strength and speed for most applications. My preferred set-up for a working horse locomotive nowadays is: Powered Up 4ch technic hub + 2x train motors+ 2x Led:s.
  20. Excellent stuff ! Very well done @idlemarvel
  21. Personally, I'm using the 4channel Technic Powered Up hub with 2 x train motors and 2 sets of LED:s, all controlled by a program made in the Powered Up APP. I found making my own program in the APP was not that difficult, and I am NO programmer whatsoever professionally speaking, So, it's an all Lego solution, and to my point of view it tics all the boxes....hence no need for 3d party solutions. As long as the size of Technic hub can be accepted...it takes a bit of engineering, and a reasonably sized locomotive....my Swedish RC locomotives measure 8*34 studs.
  22. I like it, very much !! Decals from brickstickershop, I dare assume....? They contributed a lot.
  23. Given I've seen a number of his other locomotives, I dare say he uses a separate small 9v PP3 battery and thin wires soldered to equally small LED:s. So it is a custom non-lego lighting solution.
  24. It turned out great 👍 Nice shot among the alps 👏
  25. I prefer the 2nd, all-DkGreen version with LBG roof 🤗. But, I'd make the wagon longer for better proportions.
