  1. I know, Firgellis are great, I wanted to use them for outriggers legs (short versions of firgelli). But four of them would set me back a lot of money. If only they were a bit cheaper.
  2. LAs are not in the scale for this boom, brick built actuator would be to big, those Firgelli actuators are nice, but very expensive and as you said non-lego, but there has to be compromises. I would like more that his crane has lego LA, though.
  3. Great 6 wheelers! Welcome to EB!
  4. Welcome. Great to have two boys who can play-work with you :)
  5. Sounds big... Welcome btw.
  6. Welcome! I like your first video. Was curious why the light change at the middle of the video.
  7. I LOVE those old parts, you were not precise, but if you talk about technic bricks and old 24x43 tires, I am that guy! :)
  8. Ahh, the mighty AC50 from Jennifer Clark! That model made me back to LEGO after many years, and I thanked her for that before! In fact, I am building ultimate mobile crane in honor of this machine. I think I have very good and detailed model of her crane in my head, thats how much I analyzed her site and this model! Her was the first builder to make the boom so realistic with curved bricks. Shame that there are no suitable door, she had to cut her doors to get that lines in the cabin, she used non-lego parts, but this machine will be forever in my heart, as THE model that made me to come back! Thanks again for that!
  9. Yeah, chassis is free to build, regardless of crane type. Use 5 tracks, if you perfected that system on earlier machines, but still try to improve it (to eliminate wobbling of the dishes when steering) Besides, most of the halftracks had different sizes of tracks for different uses.
  10. If the boom is heavy, I would not suggest to use either pneumatics or LA. Build your own bricks-built linear actuator. They can take massive loads and looks realistic and cool.
  11. Thank you. They are optional, for look and grip. The wheels works perfectly without them. On video tutorials that will be done in three days, wheels can hold 3Kg on the axle input, maybe more, my finger was hurt by axle. The wheel on the trike is the thinnest (20mm) test version. The seven wheels described in the book are all fully braced and strong.
  12. Hey all! New MOC - 1:3 Scale Kids Tricycle. Made to promote my free 50 page book about Brick-Built LEGO Wheels, which will be online in three days, on May 22nd. Inspiration: MOC: Pretty big, but somewhat fragile model, made for events. It can be pushed and steered, The weakest part is 2x2 turntable plate that connects the handlebar and frame. Everything is angled and sloped. The Book I will present this free book in a three days, and there will be specifications, instructions, notes and customization sections for each of the seven wheels, like the front wheel on the bike. Subscribe to my YT channel to get notified and download it for free! Tricycle video: http://www.youtube.c...w&feature=share
  13. I don't like that idea, but I would sure observe the build with great interest!
  14. Update, guys: Step by step photo instructions for the helicopter are done. You can get them for free, by sending me a pm or email.
  15. Ahh the memories! Never played episode 2, but very much enjoyed HL 2. I saw this car when my younger brother played Episode 2. And you nailed it!
  16. Its up to you, no one should tell you whether you share it or not. But, if everyone has the same attitude, we wouldn't ever see any mocs on the net, neither on the events. We would miss all the masterpieces people share every day. It is always compliment when someone copies you. As someone says: imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery. I know how you feel about creative solutions and satisfactions, I feel the same, probably as the rest of the guys here. But I think large portion of our satisfaction (when building a moc) is a chance to present it to the world, and it would be shame to miss it, whether it gather positive or negative comments, or even none.
  17. Hmm, I have to make really lots of scheduled LEGO stuff (10 videos, 2 mocs, book i am working on). I guess middle August in as early as I can start it :( My plan (before) was that the vehicle would be 1:13, but I guess it is close enough to your desired scale of 1:15. Maybe you can find another smaller moc to keep your hunger for building for a month or two, and maybe I can better arrange my schedule so we can build at the same time?
  18. It would be cool if we could build his vehicle at the same time, at the same scale! I had my plans for this, which are few years old, but still good. I just need to recover all pictures and some diagrams. I am building few things now, and could maybe start this in about four months...
  19. Just wow!
  20. Wow. First I thought you used six plate-built sections, but then I saw it was made with bricks, Lots of work gone into this!
  21. We call it "ЛЕГО" here as well! :) Great!
  22. Welcome! Hope you will have fun here!
