decentant... yes :-$

i like this *y* id love it if it had a bit more "dark forest" feel ;-) the varying tree hights work well for the overall shape. - BrickMiner

i'd love to see a hidden treasure alcove in the rocks similar to 6066... http://www.1000steine.com/brickset/images/6066-1.jpg - BrickMiner

im not a fan... but then again, im all for replicating the official LEGO look. which i don't think his MOCs or his custom figs do. and his BSB is barely a MOC. i've never prefered the what i call "classic-castle" style of building though. - BrickMiner

ya, id want it MISB... but that is the price on ebay too ;-) - BrickMiner

these ones... http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...?showtopic=5612. i'll tell you why i have a problem with them (and it has nothing to do with your design capabilities ;-) )... see, im just used to the official LEGO imperial soliders... i think they are a magnificent work of art. and i'd never want to replace them with customs... to me customs should exist where LEGO never delivered... or for variety of "unique" figs. something like soldiers uniforms don't need variety. its the same problem i have with these custom civil war figs... http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...?showtopic=6299. the calvary that LEGO created are near perfect... its like, "don't fix something that isn't broken" ;-) thats were im coming from anyway... - BrickMiner

i design and draw in adobe ILLUSTRATOR. i only use photoshop for photo editing ;-) i would never attempt drawing in PHOTOshop !!! :-D and yes, i use CMYK process. but thanks for jumping in with suggestions hinkley... ok, let me refine my question... do you use the official LEGO color guide at LUGNET for your color choices or do you use the MCN ??? because there are discrepancies between the two. or have you accumulated your own CMYK color guide as i have ???here is an example of my dilema... color match conflicts are seen in the dark-red dress and brown shirt... although im very happy with my stickers, im always looking for additional processes and info !!! i really think it is just that my colors aren't saturated enough. as hinkley said... printer problem. - BrickMiner -
good point jipay... doing things LEGO doesn't offer is probably best for selling MOCs. hmmm... makes me wonder if puerto brico is too much like ITP in regards to selling it.-------------------------------------------------- i had a theory on selling custom figs as opposed to whole sets... see, some SW and Ninja figs already go for 20-30 USD... AFOL are already used to seeing high prices on single figs, due to rarity. well, there is nothing rarer than custom figs... so charging 10-15 per custom wouldn't seem as outrageous. in fact it could seem pretty cheap for a rare fig you can only get from one seller ;-) so, the next question... is there demand enough. or would AFOL (who are interested in customs) rather just make their own. it pretty much the same question with full sets too. - BrickMiner

It's empty, which is a huge dissapointment considering how great the rest of the set is... That porticullis is still hard to beat though...(look it up!) God Bless, Nathan man, you weren't kidding !!! there is nothing... i was always under the impression that it openned up like 6054 Forestmen's Hidout. that is why i surely thought there was something in the middle.now i really don't like this set... 6054 is so much better. but isn't that how LEGO seemed to work... i mean, 6285 BSB was much better than its predecessor 6286 SES - BrickMiner

I know it sounds phony, but 6066 is even better when you buld it! It is just so perfect... God Bless, Nathan as i was growing up, my friend had this set... i was able to partially play with it, and loved the mulit-access storage element... always thought that was brilliant. however, i've never built it myself... "prefect" you say ??? too bad its around 300 USD 8-

yes, but how did you get the colors of your ink on paper to match the plastic so well... for my custom stickers, i scanned one of each color brick i had, and printed test sheets of the scanned colors, for callibration purposes. after a couple rounds of color-matching i decided i was as close as i could get. but i still have slight color descrepencies... from these photos it appears you have none !!! i tried using the official CMYK color processes that LEGO uses. and that result was even father off than my calibrated color test sheets. which was exprected because each printer will interpret the color information differently. so that is why i ask how you got them to match so closely ??? do share X-D - BrickMiner -
hmmm... after some thinking i've decided the airport shuttle is my favorite. and that is based entirely on the photos, cause i have none of these sets :-( the forestmen have really peaked my interest over the past couple of days... but i just don't like the river fortress enough (or at all). maybe there is some cool features on the inside, but i can't tell from the photos i have seen of it. maybe i should reference the brickfactory instruction scans :-D - BrickMiner

i have definitely wondered about your name D... thanks for the response. good to hear somebody's name comes from somthing other than video games :-D :-D :-D but its still not LEGO ;-) - BrickMiner

good to hear your back D !!! and congrats and all the stuff you said ;-)

hmmm... i must be sick of POTC because (although these are designed well) im not feelin' them. my favorite thing about these is that you use the existing official LEGO designs as reference... i see a lot of simular features... your belts and jackets for sure. really gives them an official LEGO feel *y* in contrast, your soliders torsos look too unlego-like for me ;-) - BrickMiner

your planning on selling these ??? 8-

thats unheard of nowadays... i mean, stopping a theme, then restarting it the next year *wacko* or is there a theme that has practiced this recently ??? i can't think of one... - BrickMiner

1990 was the year that nothing pirate was released ??? strange, as the line debuted in 1989. guess they took a year off. hmmmm.... that makes it hard to vote. - BrickMiner

for some reason i can't view your second image SW4J... otherwise i'd try to give some more feedback ;-) - BrickMiner

ya, but included in those sets for sale are NEW pitchforks... which go for 5-6 USD.BrickLink prices for pitchfork i actually check a couple prices for the forest men... looks like they go for around 5 USD. and the black falcons go for 5 new also... so maybe i was mistaken, and the pitchfork and figs are worth about the same 8-| - BrickMiner

gold city junction is DEFINITALY my second fav ;-)

Oooh! Good call. I loved *wub* that set! man, i am so close to wanting this set... it is really really nice. so glad it was listed here. forestmen are a theme that i sometimes skim over. they are easily forgotten with all the hootin-hollerin saloon shoot-outs that fill my LEGO world ;-) but thanks to this thread, i think i can put forestmen next in line for the collection, right after WW, adventurers, and islanders that is :-D - BrickMiner
