  1. nice... the woldpack tower was always one of my favorite castle sets... and i think you have done it justice !!! i like how you have, more-or-less, just recreated it on a larger scale. im not sure i recall seeing any MOCs in this style before... i'd like to see more. also, i notice you have a lot of cypress trees... that must be nice ;-) - BrickMiner
  2. yes, it so very true alex !!! im building LEGOREDO just as a town/city fan would build their modern town/city !!!right now, in my layout, i have my custom train station and saloon, and the official sets: sheriff office, general store, and bank (im also finishing a post office MOC too)... so that makes a total of 6 structures in LEGOREDO. add the train, and various carriages and wagons, and i've got my own city/town collection !!! just in a different time period ;-) i remember your "city layout growth" thread, alex... the map really inspired me, and the progression of the city, as it was built, did too. after seeing that, i decided i wanted to do the same with LEGOREDO, and that is what im doing !!! consequently, though, my ghost town has been destroyed :-D as my main focus is LEGOREDO now. in any case, someday i'll share my city layout and growth, very similar to your thread... and i'd love to make a LEGOREDO map, similar to your city map. very neat, graphic, and inspirational, alex *y* *y* *y* - BrickMiner
  3. it does seem like the monorails always realize steep prices. wow, this is the other end of "crazy"... that's a great deal, and a great group of vintage sets... those type of collections are hard to come by... as the boxes even look pristine 8-
  4. this does seem like a pretty reasonably price (assuming that the auction price will go for less than the buy-out price). its strange to see something like this in auction on BL. it seems nothing "good" is ever auctioned at BL *wacko* though i could be wrong, it seems like ebay is the place for auctions. - Brick Miner
  5. for me the subject matter is far less important than the design, concept, and execution of a theme. to be honest, i never would have imagine that i'd be so fasinated with the american west... its only the LEGO theme was so well executed that it captured my imagination... arguably, its the best conceptualized theme LEGO has produced. that being said, i don't know how much i like "war" based themes... and would prefer "city life" type themes. - Brick Miner
  6. that is very fun to watch... only i wish it were the whole set. now that would be something 8-
  7. i went with yours alex !!! even though, as hinkley knows... his is a great vehicle too (its just, i like 4 wide cars, it seems). though, admitingly, it was hard for me to judge the classic-style cars... as i haven't become a fan of town/city until recently (2007). - Brick Miner
  8. well, thanks for the feedback... even an "oh wow" lets me know im in the right direction with my MOCing style.so thanks everyone. -------------------------------------------------- a couple AFOL have expressed interest in seeing a piece list and instructions... after i make those available, buying this will be possible... via BrickLink ;-) :-D - BrickMiner
  9. i agree, B. actually i feel like i've had something of a epiphany :-D but seriously, i have actually gone back a reworked all my previous MOCs to match the scale and feel of this. i realized that overall, my scale was too large, and too open. all three of my previous MOCs fall victim to this :-/ yes. actually, my station's design is based off a playmobil design... i never would have been open to using them as reference, if it weren't for you. so thanks for opening me up to the world of playmobil, B !!!and thanks to everyone for all the feedback !!! so far, im hearing that the underside of the train could have used some more work. noted !!! - Brick Miner
  10. you caught me in the middle of editing my post 007 !!! i meant "conductor charley face" ;-) :-D :-$ - BM
  11. yes, i really like using existing LEGO inconography... im trying everthing i know to make these MOC look like an offical LEGO set. i even tried to "westernize" engineer max and conductor charley with a custom torso :-D i wasn't really happy with the result though, as the conductor charley face doesn't seem too "western" to me.oh well, it was a neat concept that really just didn't work in the end. however, i am currently adapting the LEGO post office symbol into a LEGOREDO post office/pony express MOC. that, on the other hand, is working out quite well, as the symbol is a french horn/bugle thing... and a bugle is one of the elements LEGO used for their calvary. now a '96 LEGO wouldn't have done that :-P :-D - BrickMiner
  12. ok EBers... this is it, the "must have" of all unofficial Wild West sets... LEGOREDO STATION #6785 All Aboard... Next Stop, LEGOREDO !!! The fun and excitement of the Wild West awaits you... only you need to get there first !!! Cross the frontier with this Western themed 6 car train, then arrive at the most happen'n joint in all the west, LEGOREDO !!! At the train station you will find all kinds, gamblers, gunslingers, and outlaws, so watch your step !!! Features: - Buy the tickets and plan your trip in the station's lower level. - Plan the future of the Western rails with the LEGOREDO territory map in the station's upper level... but don't let the thieves find the hidden gold under the removable table !!! - Burn the fuel on the open flames in the locomotive's cabin !!! - Deal the cards to pass the time in the passenger car card-table, but don't get caught cheating !!! - Deliver the US mail and Calvary payroll with storage crates and safe in the caboose !!! - Chart the frontier territories with 23 pieces to build rocks and foliage for the train to pass by. - Includes 8 minifigures, with train conductor, train engineer, sheriff, 2 gamblers, 2 cowboys, and 1 cowgirl! - 6 car train includes engine with tender, passenger car with removable roof, livestock car, freight car, and caboose with removable roof! - Complete train measures 42 inch long (135 studs). - Train Station measures 6 inch high (15 2/3 bricks). - includes 9V motor, Speed Regulator, and Oval Track for 9V trains. - Complete track includes 16 curve and 4 straight rails. -------------------------------------------------- also, i hope you enjoyed my new format for posting MOCs... i've borrowed the introduction and "features" framework from LEGO shop@home. it's not so wordy and lets the pictures do the talking ;-) - BrickMiner
  13. my thoughts exactly ;-) though, i do like bricksters haunted hay wagon... maybe something alone those lines, but with evil *skull* all over. >:-) - BM
  14. its nice to hear everyone
  15. yes, it almost seems like those two should count together :-/ - Brick Miner
  16. im gonna post it next week, here in the H&A forum ;-) im finishing up helping our member Alex54 wtih a project of his first ;-) with all your great ideas and WW interest im excited to here your thoughts 8-
  17. thanks for the review yoda !!! i think i'll get this parts-pack ;-) - BM
  18. forestwoman... most def. these are some beautiful LEGO women though... best in the "pageant" so far *wub* - BM
  19. :-D on that note, they could have done pink, orange, and red skeletons too ;-) that would be some variety :-D BM
  20. interesting idea... and thanks for the suggestion.this makes me wonder what LEGO is trying to interpret here with their black skeletons. are they supposed to be super-evil ??? or did they get burned to death as iamded suggested ??? why are they black ??? -------------------------------------------------- for me, the white ones seem like less explaining is needed... they just seem more "correct". - BM
  21. thats the reason i suggested we go and split it ;-) 50/50. im looking for old brown particularly.-------------------------------------------------- i also noticed the red-brown lando head has come-up on BL... it seems sellers got their hands on a bunch recently 8-
  22. i saw spellcaster last spring... so if this movie was created as an added push for the 2007 line, LEGO has been planning this line for awhile. especially if you take into consideration that the movie itself took months (years ???) to make. because of this, i doubt that the two are connected... but it is possible. - BM
  23. thats funny cause im looking for the CC lando head only. maybe if suvie doesn't have one, we could team up and buy one together, only splitting the cost. you get the body and i get the head !!!---------------------------------------------------- as for the pieces SD... im pretty particular about my condition, but i am aware that the elements i listed are pretty old and rare... and therefore could possible take pieces that are not mint, but they would still need to be close to mint... i.e. little to no scratches, especially on the trans-clear pieces. - BM
  24. hey steve... i had been on vacation over the week and just threw my vote in yesterday... breaking the tie !!! - BM
  25. white and pink MJ... she looks urban. love that ;-) - BM
