    No worries, I'm sorry if my statement sounded a bit harsh - and you're right, these things do happen - As Alternator said, we'll probably have to wait a while and see who really got what since now it's quite the dust storm lol.

    People here are voicing their concerns because others decided to cheat the system - You saying "that's how it is, that's capitalism, live with it" is exactly what's wrong with capitalism in the first place - one individual gets everything while others get nothing. You're obviously entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else, but it's this kind of mentality that has caused so much misery with this set (and others like it). Also, as a fellow Technic fan, I imagine you build and play with Lego Technic, which makes it more than just a toy, but a hobby, a passion. And considering this set, even when new, wasn't particularly cheap (I paid $289 CAD for it when I bought it from the Lego store in Toronto) - that's a substantial amount of money which I work very hard for, much like a lot of other people here on eurobricks. So I can certainly sympathize with those who've lost that money AND the set they paid for - it's easy to say "I'd get over it quick" since you already have your set, but what if that was your money gone, because several individuals decided to be selfish and take more for themselves?

    I haven't checked Sherway at all tbh... and no, they don't sell sets at the Discovery centre, though it would be really cool if they did - maybe call Fairview Mall in Toronto and see if the last remaining 41999 is still there? Highly unlikely, but it's worth a try... Good point(s). And I'm not a parent, but I'm sure I'd feel the same way as you - arguably also the reason why TLG didn't implement any 1/1 set limit (and because, either way, they still get the money, doesn't matter whose it is).

    Like Blackbird said earlier, I don't think either TLG or good portion of the Lego community saw just how much drama this set would stir. Or maybe they did, I don't know. However. TLG was conscious of the fact that at only 20,000 units, there would be a bit of a scuffle on who got them first, so they should of simply capped the buying limit to one 41999 set per person. I imagine there would've been an uproar if TLG decided to do that, since I understand some people make a living from selling Lego sets. That said, it isn't fair to every other Technic fan who appreciates the play and emotional value of this set who's realized they can't get it anymore - simply because one person decided to hoard several copies for themselves or their business. I feel fortunate to of gotten mine just yesterday, after I called the Lego store near me and placed it on hold for me to pick it up. They had nine (9) in stock yesterday morning. By the time I arrived at the store around 4:30 in the afternoon (since I had to go to work) there were two left - the one I kept on hold, and another on the store shelf (ironically, right beside 9398). While chatting with the cashier, he told me someone had bought four (4) 41999's just two hours before I showed up to pick mine up. I'm sorry, but someone forking out $1,120 (est.) to turn a profit and rob everyone else of the chance to have this set is just plain wrong. And while I cannot verify if the cashier was 100% telling the truth, I still believe someone is capable enough of such a thing, given the mass mania surrounding 41999. But hey, those are the ropes I guess...

    I'm sure someone's gonna try that in the near future (and likely get caught lol) seeing how the value of this set went from exclusively ridiculous to ludicrously expensive in less than two days...

    Thanks! Majority of the fundamental parts are indeed from the 599 GTB Fiorano set - gears, motors, suspension, etc are all extra.

    Fantastic use of Technic elements to get that "nose" shape right - and I agree, the interior is just beautiful... great job all around! :D she looks fast!

    As an example of one of my earliest efforts of large-scale Technic projects, I thought I'd share this here - my (now dismantled) Ferrari FF. After scrapping my 599 Ferrari a couple of years ago, I long pondered about what I should rebuild it into. That is, until I found out about arguably the most unusual Ferrari of them all... the FF. I loved it. So, I had to build it. Ferrari FF by Octav_spot, on Flickr I have to say, the cable Technic parts came in handy to emulate the FF's curvy shape... I just wish I had more of them. FF Profile 3 by Octav_spot, on Flickr Since, y'know - it looks kinda naked... FF Headlamps by Octav_spot, on Flickr I'd spent hours on the FF's front-end - so, as a result, it was my favorite part of the whole car - If I stared hard enough at it, I could almost look past the gaps in the fenders and see the FF's sloping LEDs... FF Profile 2 by Octav_spot, on Flickr All in all, I was fairly pleased with this MOC. It had all-wheel-drive (albeit, via two separate XL motors, one in front, one in back) and despite its size, it was relatively light. And even though the FF is all but gone now, it was enough to get me thinking about possibly trying my hand at the stunningly-beautiful 458 Italia... Anyway, Enjoy! :D

    Thanks! Well, I tried some sort of covers for the wheels but it looked kinda funny with them, since they're low-profile tires - so I went with a 3-pin "spoke". My Rolls has wheels in the same size as the Hearse's, but the rim is smaller and tire is thicker - it currently has the "hubcaps" on all four wheels :D

    Thanks! Well, I had started building it around early November last year - none of the features like the working engines, Yamato cannon and lights were really planned either, they all just kinda grew into it - In short, I think it took me about 8 months or so - that's partly due to a busy work schedule and because I kept adding features to it, but then again, I'm glad I spent more time making them work in the first place. It's funny to prank my friends with it though lol, since nobody realizes it's remote-control (or powered) - they just jump back when I fire the "Yamato cannon" haha -
