Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day One
Capt. Redblade replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No, I found it! It was hiding in my room the whole time! Sorry, I can be a bit scatterbrained sometimes. -

Okay, as long as we've got everything cleared up now. Hopefully we can move on. -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day One
Capt. Redblade replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
So, to summarize, Mr. Bombay can't stick to his story and was talking of alliances before the day had begun, and Miss LeMans is spouting some confused gibberish that the rest of us can't comprehend. I wonder, is this confusion in the wake of the murder, or is it something more sinister? -
Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa - Day One
Capt. Redblade replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That is not for you to know. I think you misunderstood: I never said anything about alliances, in fact I haven't had much time to chat with anybody in general; I only retracted one statement because I didn't like the wording; I don't want to lose my baseball bat because then I won't be able to get in any practice and because it was signed by Aaron Hill. -

I felt my initial statement was a bit clunky and poorly-worded, which was the reason for my edit. -

Wait, you say that you've witnessed the murder of Sunday, yet the murder happened in the middle of the night... How could you have witnessed it then? Is there something you're not telling us? It's entirely possible she meant that she had seen the body, which we all did. -

This is awful! Not only is somebody dead, but I bet they'll confiscate my baseball stuff. -

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa

The best! I studied under the legendary 'Mayday' Malone! (That's a Cheers reference, if anyone cares.) In fact, I brought my stuff with me, so if anyone's up for a game, just come find me! -
After this ludicrously embarrassing beatdown, I wouldn't be surprised if the audience asked for their money back.

Casey Roswell, here for a much-needed break from the ballpark... ladies. -
Sign-ups to Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
Capt. Redblade replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I've been contemplating getting into Mafia for quite a while, and read through Werewolf Mafia and Bloodbrick's Asylum, but I've never actually participated in a game, so this might be just the kick in the butt I need! Sign me up! -
Adventurer's Quest: Camel Caravan
Capt. Redblade replied to Tervlon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It is only right that Johnny Thunder should lead the greatest desert caravan ever. -
"Post-monkey stress disorder." Love it, love everything about it.

Oh, well, I CERTAINLY HOPE THE SPACE MONKEY DOESN'T LEARN HOW TO PILOT THE SHIP AND RETURN ANY TIME SOON! If you get my meaning, KDog... All in all, a magnificent arc, sir! I always thoroughly enjoy seeing Valkyrie in action.

What do you think of the Islander sets?
Capt. Redblade replied to Island boy's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm quite fond of the Islanders. They add variety to the minifigure selection and the set architecture, and they're an outside force with no stake in the petty treasure squabbles of the pirates and the navy, so they can act as opposition for both factions or neither. -
I know for a fact I'm getting this for Christmas tomorrow! Ordered it m'self.

Looking at these pics, I can't help but wonder whether the Dragon kingdom has the worst military training in history. First, there's three heavily armed soldiers attacking a peasant village and they're getting their megablocks kicked by the maiden and her apple-throwing powers; second, they need a heavily-armed knight to defeat a blacksmith (I can only assume the weapons in his forge are made from the helmets of several ashamed Dragon foot soldiers; and the hammer in the forest seems like a last-ditch Robin Hood tactic. Also, let us not forget that last year they sent an army of three to raid a castle replete with a force almost twice that size. On a positive note, the sets look amazing and I hope this becomes the norm for all Castle themes yet to come.

I find it highly amusing to just say "Hooting Space Monkey" over and over. Anyone else with me on this?

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Capt. Redblade replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
If they're making sets based on the entire series, this bolsters my hopes of a waterwheel. -

Very impressive technique given his age.

The Action Theme You Love
Capt. Redblade replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
My favourites are Agents and Adventurers (Egypt subtheme). I am a big fan of both Indiana Jones and James Bond and the Lego knockoffs are better than any licensed sets. (Plus, the knockoffs were there first.)
