  1. You don't want to piss Pengy off. He'll bring in Solomon Grundy and we'll all be for it. And speaking of which, who else would like to see a Grundy minifigure?
  2. So help me, I like the Batcave. It's much more campy and retro than its predecessor, but I like it. The Silver Age Batman is not "My Batman", but I still reread some of the old stories from the '60s and '50s on a semiregular basis. The prison cell and computer are cool, the drill is awesome, and I really want the new figures, even the smiling Batman!
  3. Play fair, Shadows. Give someone else a chance to metagame for a change. I don't think I'm eligible to sign up, but I'll watch from the sidelines and silently chuckle at all the rookie mistakes.
  4. Yes. Just... yes.
  5. At first glance it appears that these are nothing more than a rehash of the original Batman sets from '06, but I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it. There have countless Star Wars retools and they're still raking in the cash. 6858: The underlying concept is very similar to 7779, but I like the addition of a traffic light and newspaper box for decoration, and Batman's flight suit could be good if executed correctly. 6860: Smaller than 7783, but it could serve as a nice add-on. It looks like the Cave and feels like the Cave, and Bane riding a giant drill is an instant win. 6862: Do I need to spell it out? It's Superman and Wonder Woman fighting a mecha-clad Lex Luthor; how can this possibly fail? 6863: A much smaller rehash of 7782. There's really not much difference here, but I've wanted that new Joker since I first set eyes on it... Ah, well, he might appear in another set. 6864: A vast improvement on 7781. Twice as many thugs, a tow truck with a minigun, a bank facade, and a bank guard for good measure. I'm hoping they'll make some improvements across the board, but, so far, I can definitely see this working.
  6. I'm liking these more and more every time I see 'em. Well, except for the T-Rex Helicopter Transport, that is. There's some unexplainable quality about it that rubs me the wrong way, and the base is somewhat lacklustre too. Hopefully I'll learn to love them in time for the release. Everything else is 100%
  7. I think that's already been posted.
  8. Most of the time, I don't give Star Wars a second thought, but when a friend linked to this video on Facebook, I took it upon myself to bring it to those who would truly appreciate it. (All credit to Youtube user "i0medes") According to the video description, the model is made of a whopping 43 280 parts, weighs 82 kg, and measures just under 2.5 metres in length. Note to mods: If this has already been posted, feel free to scrap it or move it to a correct forum or whatever it is you do.
  9. I can tell you're new to this because you denounce Kingdoms as even worse than the infamous "Jellybean Knights" with their iffy designs, shaky builds, and garish colour scheme (And because you don't know what the MMV is). To my mind, Kingdoms is one of the better Castle lines in a while. The sets are solidly built, the designs aren't too flashy, and the sets are more aesthetically pleasing in a subtle, dressed-down kind of way. As you may have inferred from that statement, I hope Kingdoms continues.
  10. Agreed. As the old Chinese proverb goes, "Pics or it didn't happen."
  11. Personally, I've been wondering why there appear to be paved roads in the images for 5882, 5884, 5885, and 5886.
  12. I'm on the fence here. On the one hand, the dinosaurs look better than any in Dino Attack/2010 (which I specifically avoided for that exact reason) or Dino Island, and I like the look of the syringe/tranquilizers and minifigs, but the vehicles are too over-the-top and wacky. Of course, I'm sure I'll do a complete 180 degree turn and change my opinion if I have those pics on my desktop for five minutes.
  13. Wait a minute... Was that Scouse?
  14. Ooh! Ooh! Pick me, Mr. Hospital Guy! I'm ever so insane! I've only been in one Mafia game (Isla Paradisa, although that may have been a hallucination when I went off my pills), but I followed the original Bloodbrick's Asylum from the sideline (at least I think I did) and I've been itching to play another (at least I think I have). Among other reasons why I belong in an asylum, I talk to myself and I have multiple personalities. -- No, I don't. -- Yes, I do. -- No, I don't. -- I'd like to interject and say that he does. -- You stay out of this! Also, I have reason to believe I'm Napoleon. If I am committed, tell them to forward my mail to the rhododendron bush outside the Capitol Building on the third moon of Jupiter.
  15. Very clever vignette, Plate. CheeseSlope City.
  16. Is it just me, or did anyone else instantly think of Freddie Mercury when they saw this?
  17. Indiana Association of Nutritional Eating. And is it just me, or has the Doctor regenerated since last we saw him? On a final note, poor Mr. Torio.
  18. One thing that bothers me is this: "-Exact 1:6 scale replica of the original LEGO Minifigure." Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that mean the clock is 1/6 the size of a minifig? Because minifigs stand around 34-35 mm, so that would imply the clock stands roughly half a centimetre in height. Unless I'm mistaken, and feel free to call me on it if I am, somebody really screwed up in the product description.
  19. About a month and a half ago I got 6755 Sheriff's Lock-Up (original, not rerelease) from a store in Chilliwack. Of course, I spent almost all of what little money I had on it and some Collectible Minifigs from Series 2 and 4, so I haven't made many purchases since.
  20. Without hesitation, I'm going to say Pirates. (And that includes Pirates Of The Carribean.)
  21. Well done. The tree is solidly built and the building looks very homey and quaint.
  22. Personally, I think Kingdoms is a definitive step in the right direction as it is essentially taking Castle back to its roots. Even if the Kingdoms line doesn't last much longer, the human vs. human conflict should, as it gives LEGO more options. I mean, this may sound like a crazy idea from way out of left field and I'm probably the first person to bring it up in over a decade, but how about a Forestmen revival? I was too young to enjoy Castle in the era of the Black Falcons, the Wolfpack, the Crusaders, etc., so I'm liking this a lot.
  23. I'm with Galanos on this one; it'd be kind of creepy to see my mom being hit on by Huey Lewis. And I don't think my dad would react too well, either...
  24. 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty 10210 Imperial Flagship And I'm planning on getting 4184 Black Pearl when it comes out.
  25. For some reason, whenever I see Mr. Wobbly Droid, I can't help but hear Billy West's voice... I don't know why... On another note, Uncle Bob is an @$$.
