  1. Holy crap, is the delivery man still there?!
  2. So, the Red Ninja is most definitely a Janitor-ish role, and since he has made an appearance two nights in a row, I am now convinced that he is a replacement for the Scum killer. The bastard must be found. And not just because of the threat he poses to the rest of us, but because he would be so evil as to steal my steakums. I just lost my mother, and Auntie Shizuko, and now my steak?
  3. I was just going to say the same thing. Pretty please, LEGO?
  4. Just remember, more active doesn't automatically mean more helpful. Going by word count alone is useless if the words have no meaning.
  5. So, let me see if I've got this right: "I agree with the accusations, but I don't agree and think they're wrong, and also, you must be scum because you think I'm scum!" Originally, I accused you because of your uselessness, but now the accusations are more due to your flat-out refusal to actually answer me whenever you speak, which is a very scummy move. I really would love to hear why you've been ignoring me, and I'm sure it'll be a doozy of a tale seeing as you've had so much time to come up with an airtight story. And how does it not mean you're entirely unhelpful? Show me where you've been helpful.
  6. I'm not avoiding jumping into the conversation, I simply like to keep abreast of what's happening, but I myself have nothing more to say. I've made my accusations, explained them, called out the accusee for ignoring them repeatedly, defended myself against my own accusers, and given another of my useless hypotheses. I think that about covers it. I haven't said much more because a lynch against Emi-chan makes no difference to me. I have no inclinations to get her lynched or save her sorry hide. If she's lynched, she's lynched. If she's not, she's not. I have no useful evidence to help the case against her, nor do I have any that proves the innocence she so loudly proclaims, so I remain a bystander. The fact is we still have thirteen people, and if we assume the other factions still sit at one or two apiece, that is no more than four people left to eliminate. I think at this point we outnumber them greatly, so if we lose one or two Yakuza along the way, that's the way things have to be. Aaaaand looky here, yet another perfect opportunity to answer me, and yet more silence. It's not so much your inactivity that gets you accused, it's your refusal to own up to and/or prove wrong those accusations. My vote stands.
  7. Finally! My first title! Hypothesis Demonstrator I'm quite certain this was awarded me due to my bad habit of proposing and explaining many a ludicrous hypothesis in Yakuza Family (and often being flat-out wrong. ) Since Hinckley is the latest visitor on my profile page, I will say thank you, you magnificent, bwankie-hogging bastard!
  8. I actually bought this about two weeks ago, but haven't had time to post since I've been on vacation. So... 6860 The Batcave, 20% off the sticker price at the Toys R Us @ Capilano Mall in Vancouver. And... get ready for this... it wasn't marked up! Hooray! And two-ish days before that, I bought the 6863 Batwing Battle, 6858 Catwoman Cycle City Chase, and 6862 Power Armour Lex Luthor in one fell swoop. It's been a good month for this comic book geek.
  9. Well, since we are free to vote, I think I'll take the opportunity to... Vote: Shiro (Alopex) Since I first raised my suspicions about him - gosh, what was it? Two days ago? - he has made no effort to answer the accusations, despite the fact that he made two posts on Day 6 during which point he easily could have, and my efforts to get to know him in private have been, shall we say, less than fruitful? I understand he may not have been online awake much recently, but that still demonstrates a certain level of flat-out disregard pour moi. I also doubt that Shiro has not heard my accusations, as I have spoken them loudly and frequently, and even the most frequently unconscious members of our family surely know my position by now. If anybody else knows why I should not vote for Shiro, please speak up, as he seems incapable of such an action.
  10. Since when it is a crime to propose a theory? Yeah, it's a long shot, but there have been a lot of long shots over the past week, and I haven't seen them prosecuted.
  11. Ah, I never considered that. Do you see, Norio? This is how it's supposed to go. Somebody says something, other people shoot it down and propose alternate theories, and the hypotheses continue. Nothing scummy about the ancient ways.
  12. I based my hypothesis on another, yours. Exhibit A: You said yourself that we have most likely rid ourselves of the Mutineers' killer, and the evidence seems to support that. But, since there was a kill last night, the vigilante is obviously still out there. The disappearance of both ninja (White and Black) and the appearance of the Red implies that something has changed in the grand scheme of things. I don't know that the Mutineers' kill role could have shifted to the surviving Mutineer, and I have heard suggestions that the Agents could have acquired a kill role. The most reasonable way that could happen is, in my opinion, that they pinpointed who the vig was, and converted him/her. (Or they got really lucky.) Show me where in the scriptures it says that people with power roles like that can't be converted. And by the way, what about my hypothesizing makes me scummy? I think I'm allowed to hypothesize just as much as the next talking lizard.
  13. Just talking about the confirmed innocents won't help, but naming names might. We don't want a repeat of Day Two. I think it's unlikely that there are any more Mutineers left, so the Saburo-kill was probably a Yakuza-engineered effort or the Secret Agents got lucky and have acquired a kill action. Since there's been some speculation that they can convert people, my guess is that they managed to convert the vigilante, if he/she is still around. As for the janitor thing, I'm not sure. A one-shot, perhaps?
  14. At least we can agree on something, even if it is my stupidity.
  15. I can't make any excuses for that. It was a dumb move made under the rationale of "I'll get to it later", and a stupid bit of procrastination rather than ignorance on my part which you can totally hold against me. :wall:
  16. It's a fair cop. I'll admit that I could have been more helpful in early days. But after realizing my unhelpfulness is what has people on my back, I am now making a legitimate effort to contribute more. I am raising my own concerns, answering my accusers in a sufficient manner, and generally making statements containing my own thoughts, which is more than some of the other suspects are doing. Perhaps others may not see my words as worthwhile as I do, but I am at least trying and learning from my mistakes. It is true, I could have been more expedient in answering my accusers, but at least I did answer. (Another thing that sets me apart from some of the other suspects. *cough cough* Shiro *cough*) It's a fair cop. I'll admit that I could have been more helpful in early days. 17. No, I still prefer it my way.
  18. Wow. This really looks like something that could happen in the next SH wave. Good job on Grundy!
  19. Wait... you can't agree with the thinking that it's better to trust an investigation result when said investigator has already proved his/her worth than it is to trust a great load of heresay and conjecture from one desperate, scummy Mutineer? Even if there were no result, I'd be compelled to vote for you on that statement alone. But, since there is a result... Vote: Setsuku (Fhomess)
  20. I agree with Sandy. It does seem to be an unfair subversion of the rules.
  21. In case anyone gets annoyed at me for not answering any accusations against me in the day threads, remember these words: LOUSY. INTERNET. CONNECTION. (I'm looking at you, swils. )
  22. Forgive me for my shyness, but the internet connection where I currently am is incredibly spotty and prone to disappearing entirely every 15 minutes I have been very tired these past few days, being unable to sleep at night with all these horrible killings within the family. However, since the connection currently appears to be working I am currently well-rested, I shall address your concerns now. First, indeed you are correct, I did criticize Shiro. Why did I criticize him? Because I firmly believe his quiet behaviour is suspicious, and I felt I was raising a valid point in saying so. It is true, some of what I have said has been less than helpful, but I believe my Shiro-accusing statements were quite the opposite. Norio asked us to each throw out the name of one person who was suspicious to us, and I did just that, taking the time to outline why he's in my crosshairs. I fail to see how that is not helpful. Second, regarding my "'I'm throwing this out there, except I'm not really throwing it out there'" scene" (your words, not mine), I suspect my words were not as clear as they could have been. (You must remember, I'm a freaking lizard. It's a miracle I can speak at all. ) I was meaning to say that it would be useless to waste time looking over the votes against Tamiko, though it seems commonplace to do so in situations like that presented to us on Day Five, and it would be useless specifically because her behaviour clouded our collective vision. I merely assumed that some of the less experienced and more impulsive of us would suggest such a thing, and because it was (and is) useless, I was attempting to dissuade them preemptively. Understand also that I did not mean to imply we vote against Tamiko's accusers, because that would imply I supported gathering evidence from the Tamiko-lynch tally, when, again, I meant quite the opposite. The fact that you saw an accusation against Saburo and my own sainted mother where there was, in fact, none is the fault of your own paranoid mind playing tricks on you, as is the idea that I am somehow trying to lure people into a revenge vote against them without taking a direct stand on anything. Neither Saburo nor Emi-chan has crossed my radar thus far. (Okay, the latter did somewhat after my attempts to communicate with her in private were unsuccessful thanks to her callous brush-off of me, but that's neither here nor there.) My only true accusations (Day One foolishness notwithstanding) have been against Shiro, and I don't think I've been very wishy-washy in that respect. So it appears that, no, I am not afraid that making my own accusations would make me stand out too much, nor would I prefer someone else to take the reins. I am as harmless as poor Manga's kitty. (Ooh, speaking of kitties, I'm kinda hungry right now... )
  23. Again, check your list. I do believe poor Daisuke is now permanently indisposed. Also, after we lynch Setsuko, would it be too much to ask for a reading on Shiro? He made no effort yesterday to answer my carefully laid-out concerns, and his one statement so far has been, in keeping with his current trend, less than helpful.
  24. Just a heads-up, badboy, my family and I are heading to Cancun for our Spring Break, so my participation over the next few days might be anywhere from minimal to non-existent. (But don't count me out just yet. )
