Wow im really impressed by year 06. Looks like their going back to the basics (probably ive said that before)! :smile: I just have to wonder why the nick license sets are less junioriized than the batman license or the KKIII line? :huh: maybe nick wanted them that way? And I personally dont care which grey they use, as long as it doesnt come in a junioriized set.

snefroe that is very hipocritical of you, i know your were very active in the Historical lego war. I dont think there have been enough posts to derive the rash conclusion that nobody likes this topic and the first post suggested that legoman was interested in joining and needed an explanation. I dont think your the only one who hates these topics, just the only one who bothers whining about them. :biggrin:

well yes it is another war but all the others either arent god-mod foolproof or they have specific rules for everything and dont allow any creative freedom. I think this would be the next best RPG to follow after the great historical lego war, because its unique format. these are the other wars. Clash of the titans is more of an RTS based game and the Titanic bionicle war is purely about bionicle and the rule to prevent god modding is No god modding, which is to vague to logically enforce.

With the recent death of The great historical lego war, which everyone has agreed is not solely my fault. I made it my number one priority to invent the perfect role-play. I took previous examples of god-mods and topics of this nature and identified the key problems. But overall I found the main problem was that wars are too engaging and result in some impulse posts, which seem to lack substance. This is because people want to win, when really role-playing should be more about the underlying story. Yes i know other topics have been made to fix this, but they seem to have very restrictive rules, which allow for very little creative freedom. So what is the great solution, The COLLABORATIVE WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rules and organization: You may use any one theme you want fiction or non fiction Objective: The objective of the collaborative story isn't just to win in the story, but to win in the book as well. What I mean is your win is determined mainly by how valid, creative and coherent your posts are. The key is shown below. Creativity=45% Validity= 35% Coherence=10% Winnings=10% Now I'll bet your thinking holy crap this is just like school, but don't threat. There aren't any due dates and you don't get a lecture if you don't win. Scoring system: I, the judge (not a participant in the war), will read the posts at least once a week. After reading the weeks posts i will give each participant a mark in the different categories. If i give you a bad mark, please dont take offense, ill try to be as fair as possible, but i can't lie or show favoritism to a particular player. Well i went to darkness falls game and its awsome, but its more like an RTS game so i made an RPG thats completely foolproof. You win by earning points for your writing skills and creativity hence even if you win the story you might lose to the least powerful players. God-mod no more

thanks alot for letting me have the time crisers too. It also just so happens, I made a Time Twisters moc recently, its called the towering time tank. It looks like A building with a motorcycle flying out of the roof and a row boat coming out of the front. I dont have a brickshelf folder yet so it might be awhile before i post it. and while yor at it i think i get the time twisters specail ability but could you perhaps explain it a bit more indepth, just so i know.

You said That no player can have more than two themes. in another part of that post you said that small themes do not get second lines. What does that mean? does it mean another line doesnt automatically come with small themes and you can only have two themes like everybody else? if thats the case then sign me up for ninjas too :smile:

my hero unit would be a time twister, you know the guys with the police hatsand eppaulettes. I imagine that i would be at a great disadvantage with only three sets though,wouldnt I? im not competing, but for those of you who want a more creative role playing game see: collaborative War

Awsome find. Looks to me lego is returning to its routes, i mean look at all those beautiful plates, we havent seen a roof made out of plates since the wild west theme,or am i wrong. Anyway those sets look great and i'll be sure to buy all of them if i get a chance. I think this strategy of making few non-junioriized sets insteadof many junioriized sets is a great idea. keep on going lego, good job!!!!!

ok thats fine, i thought i would just make that suggestion. But what about the specail abilities thing and the set number compensation idea? Also the time cruisers and twisters are rivals but are the only time travel themes and not many people like them, can i perhaps swipe both? ill only have 7 sets, which isn't alot.

well if i may make a few suggestions. 1. certain themes have alot more sets than others so it might not be completely fair to some people who join later and get lesser themes. I would reccomend the ability to use fictional models for a fixed and large brick cost, say 700 bricks. or certain people using themes with 4 or less sets could maybe adopt two small themes. 2. certain themes have obvious special abilities. Rock raiders can obviously dig and mine, aqua and hydro-nauts can dive, time cruisers/twisters can time travel, various space themes are examplary at exploring, adventurers are also great at archeology and exploring and ninjas are like spys and could steal bricks without having to kill armies of men. I feel we need to exploit these abilities for a more diverse and interesting game. 3. obviously space themes are very powerful and could easily squash the pirates, vikings and other historic themes like bugs, so it might be most fair to allow people to pick one futristic theme and one historic theme. just some ideas you know what theme i want to call obviously, but there are so few sets in that theme, so i will temporarily call it till i get feedback on my rule mods. And i am entrely against god modding and in the great historical lego war i played the time twisters aswell and made my situation very dire, i couldnt time travel, had a miniscule army and relied on other nations for support. anyway if i get that theme, my simple unit would be a ghost with a wand and suitcase. also what would a fortress be for me?? the twisted time train is kind of both a shelter and a vehicle, maybe if you dont consider my rule changes that could be an advantage for me. i really love this. Great Idea and kudos to you Darkness Falls. I feel the rules are a little strange and hence the thread might be alot shorter than the great historical lego war but im sure it will be great fun anyway.

i remeber seeing that a while ago and i was so angry wheni found out they werent real. I mean look at the fortress, it has intricate roof decorations nice building in the back and a giant!!! And look at the real one it doesnt have a roof at all!

You see it was not just Johns fault. Every body should quit pointing fingers at Jhon and me. I was not somebody who was 2 different people. I only went with the rules. Every body let it go out of hand at the end. well i would say your tactics were kind of unfair but i mean if the others had been creative enough they could have countered yor dragon attacks right from the start. Also you were too involved in conquest, when really nobody wants anybody to win the war completely. Since we both have been shunned, what do you say we ally with eachother if were allowed to rejoin under certain circumstances
