  1. Simply... wow! I can't stop looking at the overall shape: it's good to see you didn't just take an AT-AT and add a head and tail. You modified the shape to a more natural one and the addition of the claws etc is just wonderful. And then there us the mechanical aspect: those greebles! Parts like stop signs, ice saws and even flick-fire missiles (they're usefull after all!) are a pleasure to discover and to look AT (and AT again...)
  2. At first, seeing the first picture, I thought: "What a nice little, gloomy scene!" Then I scrolled down, the pictures zoomed out and revealed an amazing scenery. I was like O.o Good choice making a flat floor. That stands in sharp contrast with the outstanging greebles. Well balanced and extremely detailed. Maybe some spots would make this scene complete...
  3. Wow, you have come a long way! I like how the tubing is attached in a smart way, and all levers capture the mechanics of the train brilliantly (that control stick was a good idea there). It never occured to me that those palm trunk pieces could make a great chimney. Excellent work: nice shape and incredible details!
  4. Nice little scene you made here. I like how the ground shows a perfect mixture of dirt, vegetation and rock. Maybe a little piece of ruin would make the place more recognizable. And if you could add some relief, some variation in hight - as I remember from the movie - you could give this vignette a little extra, something unique. Than your nice landscaping would come more to its right.
  5. I really like this refreshing airspeeder. Especially the details on the underside caught my eye. The use of droid arms, the wonderful arches... and the puzzling hinge plates on the side. Interesting details! We don't get to see the front however. I wonder what details are hiding there. Maybe a grill, or a car/speeder brand logo... My only point of critique is that overall the speeder is a little crowded. There's no real distinct shape because that's interrupted by all the details. On the other side, that's just the style of the era. Nontheless, a wonderful job for "just being bored". I hope you get bored more often!
  6. So that means we won't get another UCS vehicle this year then? If so, luckily, or else I'll never make a choice what set to buy...
  7. First of all: really nice model! It manages to capture the speedy design. I agree however that the front is to flat. Tahat interrupts the flowing horizontal forms suggesting speed. But I've been working on a tie-fighter myself and I know how hard it is to get that area right. I also experienced that it is hard to connect the wings properly so that they sit tight. I wonder how sturdy your model is, both in connection of the wings as the wings themselves. Are the plates of the wings alone sturdy enough? Thanks in advance, and congratulations on your model!
  8. I've just been counting down the days to my 18th birthday. Not to drive a car, to gamble in Vegas or to pour liters of liquor , but to join Eurobricks ! I've been watching, waiting for about two years now, and finally I can call myself an AFOL (We are Adults, not Grown ups! Besides, GUFOL doesn't sound that well ). I think Eurobricks is wonderful. I see tons of great MOC's and a nice community every day. Sometimes, I drewl over my sceen... So who is this mysterious person? Well, I'm Bert, 18 years old and I live in Belgium. (You know, that tiny country between France and Germany - we're still bigger then Luxembourgh! - known for his chocolates ) I'm a big fan of Star Wars and of the Lord of the Rings. Luckily for me, those themes get the biggest sets! My collection is rather small, but I do own the UCS Imperial Shuttle and the Tower Bridge: I only buy what I really like .That's why I'm a complete failure in tearing sets apart . That's why you won't see big real-life MOC's of me (I only make some mechanics with Technic). I do spend a lot of my time on LDD, making rather big (3000 parts at the least) creations. I like to render them, but that takes ages with my 6 year old computer... Currently I have built an UCS Tie-fighter and I'm working on an enormous Big Ben. I'll publish them after my exams. Occasionally, I design minifig templates on my computer, but don't expect much about that . So it's clear: I haven't found my specialisation yet. I'm building micro, macro and giga, I have a lot of favorite themes and way to many projects in my head. Now you know what to expect from me: a lot of chaos and tons of smileys (these are terrific !!!) Have a good day!
