Nerwen looks between the silent figures on the the tower, the silent Vauno and the one standing before them. Olmstyr. After this, Heroica and the Vauno will sign a memorandum of understanding. The Vauno will count as members of Heroica for all diplomatic purposes. And vice-versa. To challenge one is to challenge the other also. -

Nerwen speaks gently to Olmstyr. Stand down Strakvaun, this is just another test. What do you think Boomingham? Is he as old as his weapon? As well kept? He certainly seems to have no qualms about taking on all of us at once. -
The chest is trapped. Roll dexterity.

Nerwen remembers the bridge. She traces a finger across her stomach, the memory of a mortal wound with, thanks to the veterans magic, not even a scar. She looks back over her shoulder at Tra-Serral. Enemy, now ally. The world turns, only memory remains. That... ...does not belong there. Burn it down please Master Thalion. On your guard everyone. -

Nerwen heals the party members that need it. The bridge again. Looking at the single lump of goo remaining from the demon Nerwen shrugs Seems a lot of effort for something we can't share. Anyone want it? -

Do Vindicators oaths stay active or are exhausted after they cause the effect? Olmstyr and Boomingham can have two oaths going because of their level right? -

Nerwen reels from the hit, struggling to regain her composure. Unbidden, a lilting melody, a memory from more than two centuries ago rises, a tune played by a young orc, a refugee from the violence of the retributions which followed the invasion. She begins to whistle along to the refrain, her thoughts calming. Bast dal bal, Aj dal aln, Cal kahrokuul, grogiiv azt Irolm. Reaching into her satchel, she again takes a smelling salts knowing her healing would be needed in this battle several times over. Then she reaches inside to heal herself Olmstyr nods in satisfaction at his blow and raises his blade to strike again. Battle Order >Olmstyr v. Tarokai - Serstyr, oath of reclaimation Skrall Boomingham Soryx Daske Aazy Thalion > Nerwen v. Self -Smelling salts > Nerwen v. Self -heal -

Some things that might help. -Keep the game distinct from mafia. ie. No (extra) kills, no alignment reveals, stick with the rules as written (for a while at least). -Keep all conversation in thread. The scum being able to PM and strategise was a huge advantage for them, one that likely can't be balanced except by large changes to the ruleset. -perhaps explore the use of the POLL functionality the board offers to streamline voting. -Be tougher on missing players. Betsy was right to be clear about stepping out. Scott should have been booted. Depending on when it was done, yes it might have given scum the majority, but it sets precedent for future players that they need to be involved.
-
Talked a lot behind he scenes. This is where this game diverges from the one played around the table. You probably never would have pulled off the scum-Ralph investigates scum-Joshua if you hadn't talked about it cleanly. Which you can't do if we're all sitting face to face. Not that I'm complaining, you guys earned your win. But you had an advantage that the rules, as written, don't take into account. Any future games of this will need to take that into account.
-
Gah! Both scum. Well played. How much did you scum talk behind the scenes?
-
I had forgotten that detail. So, yes.
