  1. Heyo frumious gremlin Seriously? You bought it from sham-poo. He sells wp:1 weapons. As for your attack multiplier it was a guess based on your class. Edit to complete post.
  2. Heyo pretty pink fluff Which is why I pointed out that everyone can attack. EVERYONE. Even the cabbage faced gremlin and his measly 1xWP:1 attack. If there are only three or four it is entirely possible that we could kill them all in a single phase. Or at least more than one, reducing their number even with a conversion taken into account. By the way. You list 7 Nephilim. How do you know there must be that many? Why not 6 or 8? Have you considered conversions? Especially in the light of no kills last night?
  3. Heyo pretty scales Yes. Glad to see you're thinking. I have been thinking too about why a secretly evil person would want to kill another secretly evil person. I have a terrifying idea. Theory: There are not as many Nephilm as we might usually expect, but when one dies a hero can be converted to replace them. Evidence: Everybody has an attack. Everybody. Perhaps that's because we need to kill more than one Nephilim in a phase. Maybe we need to kill all of them in one go. Or at least two so they only regain one overnight. Evidence: no kill last night, does that mean there was conversion? Evidence: high number of allegiance revealing magnifying glasses and tracking telescopes. (ie cops) Evidence: high number of blockers (ie doctors) Evidence: originally levels were public, so perhaps Nephilim aren't totally dependent on killing to win, merely surviving. Evidence: items and gold are important. So it's expected that Nephilim might kill steal to keep such. Evidence: pheonix essences used on people dying overnight have a chance of revealing (melee) attackers, thus Nephilm are unlikely to attack at night Evidence: ranged/magic attack anonymity will lead to purge of those classes (as is happening now) drastically reducing nephilim's ways of winning by outright killing. Of course, I could be smoking the good stuff. But that's what looking at the shape of this situation leads me to think.
  4. Heyo snakey man! I am pointing out wit my pointer that Swinehurst could be kill stealing to keep Ezeal's items for the secretly evil ones. That and the xp too.
  5. Heyo again sexy mystic knight. You look paler than you should. Maybe you are already dead. I don't do dead people. Sorry. Bye. Cromeo does nothing for the moment,
  6. Hello sexy mystic knight! Whipping time! Cromeo whips Shadir Oswain
  7. Heyo sexy mystic knight! Whipping time! Cromeo whips Shadir Oswain
  8. I'd assume he means the dragoon, the dragonlord. What I've noticed is the pre-CAT heroica is older, more gender balanced and much more multicultural/mutlispecied than the newer iteration. And unless every AC and EC started as rogues (where possible) it much more class balanced too. (Note, this is not meant to imply a judgement on either iteration of Heroica as to which is better or worse...)
  9. I was wondering what I should call my first quest. Thanks Pie!
  10. Nerwen gasps at the shouty rudeness of the dwarf. Beware indeed. She bowed low and spoke, lapsing into quenya in her mild distress Many apologies my lady, such as they are. I bear some responsibility for the stumpy one. His words are hollow and false. She drew breath, calming herself. Returning to speaking common, I am glad that you have chosen to meet. Perhaps you might think of it as gardening. Training plants that grow outside your window to bend into harmonious and pleasing shapes. And removing weeds that spoil plants that bear fruits. No one fears that plants will quickly tear down a wall. But equally, an untended garden is not a joy to the soul.
  11. Not even at least one post? Over 48 hours? I guess it's up to us to dispense some mob justice.
  12. Heyo beautiful people! Where are you? Are you all waiting for nightfall? I want someone to play with! It's particularly telling that we've not heard from Percival Montmarte the ranger or Weyrdág the hunter today. Nor, I believe, O'blix our regulator.
  13. Ah, no. I just meant that was the overnight tally for me.
  14. Heyo salty old-timer! Can a bomb be counter struck? If not, Perhpas U'dargan is a better target than Ezeal? And someone else can tag the hairy pussy. (I would, but, well... You know...)
  15. Set in Uland. Spread over six instalments, each limited to about 6 weeks (hopefully) First quest will be four heroes, team sign-ups. quest incorporates 5 battles and a significant puzzle. Semi-open world, (can do battles in any order or skip them entirely) Still working out how to incorporate reputation if at all and on good quest rewards.
  16. I'm building and photographing now. I expect to pitch in a bit and host after 77 (and CAT!) are done.
  17. Nerwen looks at the dwarf. Greetings Master Throlar. I am surprised to see you here. It was suggested that your strong shield accompany Miss Arbour and Master Vandergant. I did not hear you disagree and I am disappointed that you have deprived them of your skills for seemingly little benefit. Speaking to Lady Calaryl in common she said My Lady. My companion does not, as he said, speak our tongue. If it please you I will speak in this tongue that he might follow our conversation. This morning I met with a Master Shawe, agent of the House of Shadaeux, self styled leader of the 'resistance'. He commands the loyalty of a handful of soldiers and more of he townsfolk. From what I have seen I do not consider him a threat to your home here in the keep and I am not entirely certain of his motives. He can, I believe, be used. By contributing to his campaign against the Pongcanae, you would have grounds to peacefully dissuade him from raising force against this place. You are right to think that you could resist any force he did raise, so there is no reason to take this course, but as I argued before, even the cost of successfully resisting attack may be too high, the death of even one of the 'Quessir is not worth the deaths of men, no matter how many. He has agreed to meet at the inn to discuss this matter, bringing only himself and two retainers. You would equally be obliged to bring two armed escorts with yourself. Arthur, myself and another companion, Lawrence Boomingham paladin of heroica, would act as neutral witnesses and be ready to forstall any violence and prevent any treachery they might attempt. Will you come to this meeting and measure for yourself how much these men might be trusted?
  18. Heyo pretty birdie! I am so lucky to be both an early riser ( and I wake up early!) and also I stay up a long time (and don't fall asleep even if I'm in bed!) This meant that when octogirl whispered in my ear I was ready for action. Why do I trust her? She came up with the glass plan. Would it be a bad person to come up with that? I'll admit that it's not foolproof but as I like to say some is better than none A plan of any sort, which has the chance of at least scaring the secretly evil, in useful. And it seems to be working too. For the record, she's the only one I've spoken to, I'm not in any group PM with Calico and Brienne (though I know it's hard to prove an absence). Now, given what Piro has revealed about his health, yes it does seem we are overkilling and I could drop my attack. My attack power is four, so I won't be making the killing blow and getting xp. Kharybdis will. Even if I drop my attack I believe that K has enough power to do 7 anyway and still get the bump. Also, I'd still be seen as one of their 'group' even if I did, so no benefit there either. Conversely, if I remain attacking Piro, I can't be attacking the wrong target elsewhere. And I think, on the balance of things it is possible Piro is secretly evil and I'd rather kick a hero when down than try and hurt lots of health heroes to no effect. If you've more reasoning on why I should change my attack to Eris, whom I believe already also has enough damage to kill her! I'm happy to listen.
  19. Given that that experience is unlikely to be such a huge deal in this game since there are only 42 xp points available of us (excepting of course 'shrooms) and that the level bonus is a mere +1HP,+1E... Is it more about gold and items perhaps?
  20. Having requested an investigation, Should we announce to you who is glassing you also?
  21. They are saying Throlar is inside. We had best go in. Speaking to the door warden elf, This is Private Regulus of Eubric City Watch, seconded to Heroica, and one of my companions. I ask for him to be granted to enter. I will stand as surety for his speech and conduct. Nerwen waits for the answer, but assuming it is permitted, steps inside the keep.
  22. Acting on information recieved Cromeo whips Piro
  23. Nerwen pondered Arthur's questions. She turned to face the roguish young man. There is always hope Arthur. But again, I think I understand the word differently to you. Let me tell you a story. Three sons of a man went out at night. It was the time of year when the shooting stars fall from the constellation of the dragon and their father had let them stay up late. He promised them if they stood out in the field they would see a star fall. The first son did not believe his father's promise. "How can he make a star fall for us to see?", He thought. The second son believed his father's promise, but was not keen to go. "I'd rather be warm in bed.", He thought. The third son, the youngest was excited. And he badgered his brothers to accompany him. He believed his father and looked forward with joy to its fulfilment. The travelled a distance from the house so that the lights could not be seen and the sky was bright and clear. They looked up and... First one, then another and another, then a reddish one, next two together. They saw star after star shoot across the sky. They returned home, the eldest carrying the youngest, who had fallen asleep, a contented smile on his face. And it was the youngest who had reasonable hope, a hope that was realised. For hope is not a wish or wanting or desire, but a trust in a promise and a looking forward with joy to its coming to pass. But trust can be difficult to find. The surest way to do so is to be trustworthy yourself. Make promises and keep them. Start with small ones and you will find the bigger ones become easier to bring to pass. And as you keep promises, others will extend theirs to you. This is the way of civilisation and the path of Galadrya and Celeborn, who bring order and harmony. I promise you, this is a understanding that brings contentment and life. Trust me and look forward with joy to seeing it for yourself. Perhaps that is not quite what you were asking, but I think you will see how it answers all of your questions somewhat.
