  1. no worries, I you just didn't QM note it back before the round. Again Arthur, can you work with the Duke? Give him direction. Sir Shawe, if you would be happy to have Lawrence as your squire, he can watch your flank. Flipz has control of the Duke, Zepher of Shawe Battle order Nerwen uses scroll of armour sundering on the Dread Pirate Indiacca > Arthur casts Ice at the Dread Pirate Indiacca Boomingham attacks the Dread Pirate Indiacca > Ellaria attacks retrieves Unlucky Horseshoe Throlar attacks the Dread Pirate Indiacca > Alexander attacks the Dread Pirate Indiacca > Ahvialyn attacks Pongcanis Swordsman B (or pogchief if swordspog is dead) > Lady Calaryl casts Darkness spell at Pongcanis Swordsman B (or pogchief if swordspog is dead) Nerwen attacks Pongcanis Swordsman B (or pogchief if swordspog is dead) Duke Bârbêthân attacks Arthur Sir Shawe attacks the Dread Pirate Indiacca using the stealthy battle style
  2. How many of these Sylvania-forsaken Pongcanis swordsmen are there. if swordspog A had been zap tapped, then the above battle results are wonky... Also, if I'd had the chance I'd have told Ahvialyn not to attack Indiacca if the swords were down.
  3. Duh me. I was reading as affecting enemies when any hero was damaged. Speaking to the Dread pirate she said So, your Pongcanis allies fall quickly. Is that what you promised them? A swift death?
  4. Doc, did you roll forArthur's zap-tap badge since Ellaria Calaryl and Ahvialyn took damage? Also, Calaryl's damage isn't shown in her stats. Arthur, can you work with the Duke? Sir Shawe, if you would be happy to have Lawrence as your squire, he can watch your flank, My Lady, if you would follow me? battle order > Arthur casts Ice at the Dread Pirate Indiacca Boomingham attacks the Dread Pirate Indiacca > Ellaria attacks Dread Pirate Indiacca using Unlucky Horseshoe Nerwen use scroll of armour sundering on Pongcanis Chieftan Throlar attacks the Pongcanis Chieftain with the Morning Star (jester's hat copying immune to fragile) > Alexander attacks the Dread Pirate Indiacca > Lady Calaryl casts Darkness spell at Pongcanis Swordsman A Nerwen attacks Pongcanis Swordsman A > Ahvialyn attacks Pongcanis Swordsman A Duke Bârbêthân attacks Arthur Sir Shawe attacks the Dread Pirate Indiacca using the stealthy battle style Free hits Pongcanis Swordsman B
  5. What is the assignment of NPC control? Is it up to me? Nerwen's eyes narrow. Battle was joined and again the care of party rested upon her. battle order > Arthur casts Ice at the Pongcanis Chieftan Nerwen attacks Pongcanis Swordsman A Nerwen scroll of Fragility on Spearman Boomingham attacks Spearman > Ellaria attacks Dread Pirate Indiacca using Unlucky Horseshoe Throlar attacks the Pongcanis Chieftain with the Morning Star (jester's hat copying immune to weakening) > Alexander attacks Pongcanis Crossbowman Lady Calaryl Darkness spell at Pongcanis Swordsman A Ahvialyn attacks Pongcanis Swordsman B Duke Bârbêthân attacks Arthur Sir Shawe attacks Pongcanis Spearman Free hits None Can the Duke even attack Arthur? Since they're on the same side and all... Also very sorry for delay! We had a rare internet interruption.
  6. Nerwen looked at the rest if the party and draws her magical staff. If everybody is ready then? Let us dance. i think we're ready for a fight Doc.
  7. Your powers of prediction are astounding. Here is one for you. I predict you are not the first Dread Pirate, that you will not be the last and that you will not be the dread pirate by the end of the day.
  8. thank you Ahvialyn. Turning to the Minotaur, she said, You wished an ultimatum? Lay down your arms and stand before these leaders here to account for the destruction you have wreaked.
  9. Nerwen felt time slow and come to a halt. Some magic was clearly interfering with normality. She could still speak, but there was no way of telling when she could interact with the foe before her. Is everyone else feeling this? Is everyone al right? Is the issue with the quest, you're waiting for someone to speak or is it external to the quest? If the first, a brief in character statement will do if the second a brief, please hold message. Either way, 2 days of silence is not. Sorry Doc, I do strive to be patient and polite, but this is now just dragging and sapping the enjoyment out of it.
  10. Alt text says 'The LEGO group is already the world's largest tire manufacturer.'
  11. Nerwen listened to all that was said. There had been a lot of talking. But she saw that the others had decided to fight. So be it. She hands the luck scroll to Arthur. She says quietly to Ahvialyn. Your cloak. What do you see?
  12. I am glad others enjoy Nerwen's speeches. It is a shame that timezone differences means conversation doesn't simply flow. As for shifting of positions, part of it may be due to my contrary nature. Lawrence argues a point, Nerwen naturally comes up with the counter point. A different perspective and point of view. But yes, part of it is also the quest running for 94 days so far...
  13. I hear some noise inside. I expect we will find what remans of the pongcanis leadership soon. Nerwen paused, considering Throlar's chain of thought, I am also wary of the threat posed by the Mopag. But if you cast it in terms of winning and losing, you commit the same error that they do. I am confident we can find an agreement that will not lead inevitably to further conflict.
  14. If it cannot be stopped, then I cannot see how you, or any of us acrue blame for not stopping it. However,I do know what you mean. This town is unstable. Uncivilised. The strong fight for control while the weak are trampled. There is no agreement, no thought of common good. No law. But you have spent more time with me than the others. You at least should have seen my intent, my methods. I have been seeking to build agreements, build a consideration of the common good. With the elves, by drawing them out into the town again. With the men by calming their fear if an armed encampment in their midst. Have we done enough? I do not know. But, by Galadrya we did something. We did what we thought was right. And there is more to do. I am certain your diplomatic skills will be of use. Do not lose heart. Our mission is not yet over.
  15. Nerwen's eyebrow w rises slightly at the intransigence of the dwarf. If it is because you lead your troops to their deaths, I must admit you are to blame in part. But from what I saw, you fought bravely to extricate them from that situation. Nerwen turns to Lawernce as if to reply to his muttered comment, then turns away, ignoring him.
  16. My apologies. Five gold, not six. Nerwen counts carefully, making it 5 gold. As for everything else. What is it you feel responsible for exactly?
  17. Nerwen hands Throlar 6 gold. Your unit may collect their share from me when they ask. Is there something else the matter? Your body indicates tension.
  18. Nerwen shrugs and holds onto Throlar's share There is 35 gold here. If you wish to share it with your unit, that is fine. Let me know how many of them there are and we shall divide it up evenly. Turning to Lady Calaryl and the others Nerwen said Accomplishing tasks together is a good way to build trust. I do not expect that you are all solid friends now, but do you have a basis of agreement? Shall we go and see if this dread pirate has survived?
  19. As the heroes gather in the compound, Nerwen hands them each 35 gold. She gives Ellaria a further 10 gold, saying I am sorry for not listening to you better during the battle.
  20. Once again the chaos of battle washed over the heroes. What is going on? Report! We're not playing that once the Pogmanders are dead their troops disband?
  21. I'd suggest as well as rather than instead of. The advantage is plain text can be cut and pasted too.
  22. Good pick up, Ta Flipz. Nerwen heard cheering in the building of to her left, she couldn't see in clearly. Perhaps more of the Pongcanae had fallen. battle order Knights of Patuqun (and Boomingham) attack Pongcanis Commanders + attack Pongcanis Commanders Elven warriors A (Nerwen) move south Elven Warriors B (Alexander) attack Pongcanis Crossbowmen A Resistance Spearmen A (and Ellaria) moving SE But since South is free, could move there. Resistance Spearmen B (and Arthur) if Flipz is right, and pogbows are dead, he'll attack Pogmanders. follow up into building! Resistance Spearmen C (and Throlar) move SE, staying in building Sir Isaac Shawe, Lady Calaryl, and Duke Bârbêthân move South East
  23. Hex battle -combat is between units in adjoining spaces Dastan final battle -combat is between units in the same space Hex -one unit per space, units cannot move through one another DFB -multiple units per space Hex -combat dice roll is modified. No shields DFB - shield roll affects all within defined space Hex -no penalty for moving away from combat DFB -unengaged enemies can free hit units leaving I'd say they're actually quite different strategy-wise, despite having a similar photoshop set up.
  24. A strike! Well done! Now let the knights have them. battle order Knights of Patuqun (and Boomingham) attack Pongcanis Commanders + attack Pongcanis Commanders Elven warriors A (Nerwen) move south Elven Warriors B (Alexander) attack Pongcanis Crossbowmen A Resistance Spearmen A (and Ellaria) I am guessing she will move SE Resistance Spearmen B (and Arthur) if Flipz doesn't submit an action, they attack crossbowpogs B Resistance Spearmen C (and Throlar) move SE, staying in building Sir Isaac Shawe, Lady Calaryl, and Duke Bârbêthân move South East Zeph posted in R&D that he'd be patchy for a bit and that I had Boomingham until he returns. Though in the absence of bad rolls, this will probably be the last round anyway.
