If your attempts at rationalization are done let us put this behind us. I ask, however, that you consider more carefully before taking unilateral action in the future. Other circumstances may not be so easy to dispatch.

Playing it as a battle also burns the camaraderie buff we earnt earlier. So there is a point to it being so, even if it'd be easier to not have a battle. And it'll cause intra party tension as some characters object in character to an 'easy' battle.

Nerwen does nothing. The camaraderie she feels for Purpearl does not extend to helping her here.

Nerwen's posture straightens into readiness for battle though she makes no overt aggressive move nor does she speak.

Nerwen nods You are right that we should decide this together. The snake has not offered violence or evil. We have only Sir Peter's word that it is. Sir Peter will simply need to return to his order and report failure, I will not kill the snake without better reason than 'a frog said to'. Nerwen sides with the snake.

I would rather extract as much cooperation as possible without the threat of killing. Especially if this tunnel proves difficult to navigate or is guarded by more than a single snake. It has been my experience that violence will happen if it is meant to, few are the opportunities to avoid conflict. Nerwen spoke gently, adding Also, snakes are not slimy, they are smooth and dry to the touch. But slithery I will grant you.

Nerwen sees both Alexis and the frog's confusion. She steps in smoothly saying, <Stars shine on our meeting Master Frog. What is the price you require?> To the others she says, This frog can help us, but wants help in return. I have just asked him what he requires help with.

Nerwen nods in readiness.

Nerwen watches XX's expression as he orders Nyx's favourite drink. Scraps of conversation and hints of rumours coalesce as Nerwen slowly understands her young Mage friend's lovelorn state. A wistful smile spreads across her face as she enjoys the company. Looking at Alexis, who had been sitting with her back during the conversation with Nyx about her love-life, then at XX she says A toast. To love. Burning like fire, solid as rock, carefree as the wind.

Returning inside, Nerwen hears the bartender give his list of wares. Hearing Flaming Gumballs were available and thinking of Nyx, Nerwen ordered one, a little sad that she did not have quite enough money to buy one for Alexis and Purpearl also. Gumballs were best drunk in company...

Nerwen smiled encouragingly as her diplomatic words dropped into Taylor's ears.

Alexis, Ecksecks and I in one group, and Matthias, Lady Berthadhiell and Ruffers in the other. Splitting up may mean a bonus battle for Nstickney/PPJB, closing the level gap one step...

Nerwen rides with ease, despite her mount's otherworldly origins. Lady Berthadhiell, I wonder if, while we ride, you might tell me more of yourself. Where did you grow, where were you schooled?

I am sure you have seen worse. At least we have leads and some clue as to what we must do. That is more than we often have. Also, Alexis, perhaps you might give EcksEcks your bombs too? More ammunition choice for him leaves leas risk for us.
