  1. well. We were tasked to protect Thistlethorp, but he is dead and two other watchmen besides. We are in your hands Bert, it is your word that the Lieutenant will listen to.
  2. Sorry I got Matthias KO'd Nstickney, and apologies for missing the last checkpoint there all. Nerwen picks up the white cloak and mourning star that she had lent to the hapless watchman. She then heals herself, Alexis, Matthias and Bert and follows by drinking a tonic. Matthias can have my share, it was my instruction that got him knocked out.
  3. Just noticed Morrison is meat shielding it up for Thistlethorp next round. Does this affect free hits? Ie. does Thistlethorp still count as targeted even if nothing lands on him? Watch out, Morrison is blocking attacks. Take him out first.
  4. On second thoughts, I should attack on the chance we are protected by the angel again. Alexis, can you remedy Ruffers please. Matthias, keep up that good work. Samuel, heal Alexis please. Everyone else, pile on. Leave the assassin alone though. Suggested Battle Order: > Nerwen v. Crowley -Sword >Matthias v. Thistlethorp -Peashooter >Matthias v. Thistlethorp -Peashooter >Midge v. Morrison -Cruel Axe Ruffers & Pigley v. Thistlethorp -Crabspirator Ruffers & Pigley v. Morrison -Crabspirator Bert v. Crowley -Halberd Samuel v. Alexis -heal Alexis v. Ruffers -remedy If there is no response from Masked or nstickney before you want to run the round Zeph, I think I have the trust of the other players enough that the actions will stand, and you can run with the above. Also, trying to match up formatting so you can just quote/cutcopy... Posting while you wrote your note. Chocks away then!
  5. some of my 'armies' on display at a show taken by another club member. (Hence not my photostream). Clockwise from top left, Dark dwarves (with steam knight), forestmen, dragons, trolls, skeletons and Necromancer, crown knights, orcs, minotaurs, dwarves (with Yeti), elves, legionnaires and werewolves. With Paladins, dragon knights and a vampire with thralls in the middle. The other end of the table with about 60 blue samurai facing off against red samurai and ninjas with other samurai. Shot of the middle for more detail of some of them. See my photostream for some games of Song of Blades and Heroes played using figs as the minitures.
  6. Alexis. It looks like the assassin wants to take a swing at the Necromancer. Put me first, I'll take the blow if she decides not to, but leave her untargetted to give her space. > Nerwen - remedy vs. Russel Ruffers & Sir Pigley
  7. Nerwen nods slowly at Matthias' plan and pulls a remedy out of her satchel. She looks at it and sighs. We could. But why? It is all futile and death comes for us all. Everything breaks. Everything fails. Everything dies. One does not need to live two and a half centuries to know this. Despondently she uncorks the bottle and flicks the liquid in Midge's direction Nerwen - remedy vs Midge
  8. Despite the feeling of doom pervading her soul, Nerwen shrugs. So be it. Nerwen vs Avery Although [i think Morrison would be a better target, those watchmen are protecting one another and he can heal the others. Avery is bucking against Thistlethorp's control and may attack him instead, if given a chance.[/color]
  9. Alexis, can you remedy Midge. I shall remedy mysel, then Ruffers after that. Samuel, try healing Alexis again. Nerwen - remedy vs. self
  10. This is in reference to?
  11. As a lore question, it can be argued either way. Undead is a large catagory and covers diverse things such as raised dead (who, in my opinion shouldn't have ether at all, ether being a expression of a will and soul, neither of which controlled raised undead posess) but it also covers things like vampires and liches, which clearly have magic and a will of their own. I think the better question is, what is more fun mechanically. What provides more options to mess with QM's carefully crafted monsters and battles? Is it fun to slurp out an enemy's ether preventing some dangerous specials? (Hint, Hel yeah!) Or is it too overpowered, especially since it can't be done to live opponents. Though perhaps an item or consumable that let one do that would be fun too! Will we start seeing *immune to ether reduction* alongside *immune to sealed*? Or should it be the same immunity? Enemies can and have stolen ether before. Let's let heroes in on that action. Nerwen struggles to her feet again. Speaking to Matthias she winks and says Elves are tougher than they look. She nods at the undead Avery. My turn. Nerwen - sword vs. Avery Also, burning should totally do double damage against the icy Thistlethorp! (Though I understand why it doesn't!)
  12. but since the special doesn't deal any damage...
  13. Shield? Special guard? I'm sure you rolled for them, but it's handy to see the rolls noted. Also if healing harms undead, does milk (which heals and restores ether) remove undead ether also? Nerwen turns to speak but the words turn into a grunt as the assassins knife pierces her.
  14. Its nice you halved Nerwen's damage, but she's not in the back row. Take down the Necromancer, we can deal with the dead after. Nerwen engages Avery again Nerwen - sword vs. Avery Focus fire people! Use the elemental multipliers. Suggested Battle Order: > Ruffers & Pigley: Crabspirator vs. Thistlethorp > Ruffers & Pigley: Crabspirator vs. Thistlethorp Nerwen: Sword vs. Avery Samuel: Heal vs. Alexis Alexis: Fan vs. Crowley > Midge: Fire spell vs. Thistlethorp > Matthias: remedy vs. Midge > Matthias: Peashooter vs. Thistlethorp Bert: Halberd vs. Morrison
  15. Nerwen hefts her shield and turns her sword on the assassin Nerwen - sword vs. Avery
  16. Undead. Ugh. As if killing something once is not enough. Nerwen - sword vs. Morrison
  17. <I agree. Perhaps one of these watchmen has shackles that can be used to secure him?>
  18. Just noticed. No loot. boo! And do I need to loot Crowley to get the mace and cloak back? Nerwen bows her head, closes her eyes and begins muttering a chant. Seraphael shimmers into sight behind Thistlethorp, a hand extended above the watchman. Speak truth.
  19. Could not? You must hold your employer in high esteem if you value attempting a contract higher than keeping your life. Clearly ChromeknightNerwen doesn't know about this red death thingy. Also, grammar nit-pick, it's a moot point, ie something debatable, not a mote point. A mote is a tiny speck, though it could be a mote of a point...
  20. <Yes please, brave companions. We just have to pray this the last time that it will be necessary to raise her.>
  21. Nerwen's eyes narrow. I enjoy a good conversation, but knifing her does not earn you any points. I would offer you the chance to flee but I do not think you would take it, so I shall not bother. Nerwen - sword vs assassin
  22. Nerwen tsked at the elven harlot's words Surely you entertain not simply your client's bodies but their minds as well? Same thing here. There is more to a battle than just lumps of metal and bursts of elemental energy. She winked at Matthias and nodded at Samuel beside her.
  23. Nerwen sees a glint in the assassins eye and curves her blade with s defensive twist, attacking from a safe distance. ie. the back row not that we're fighting in neat rows or that Nerwen is actually behind anyone else.
  24. We do our share of striking down the guilty. And yes, I own my choices, they are in the end the only things anyone truly has. Speaking to Matthias, she says If you are not doing anything and I am meant to be dealing damage, perhas you might give me a drink to help me hit harder? Nerwen -sword vs. death-philosphrr
  25. With only one hero in the party, this is functionally equivalent to "immune to free hits" If he's battling a single enemy it's not even that, it's just autorun 14 rounds at once. Which is an invitation to the conditional action from Hel.
