Nerwen blinked. It was rare for her to be distracted but a train of thought had led from the Hinckwells to minstrels to the battered wooden flute at the bottom of her satchel, a present from Lenwë and the key to a flood of memories, interrupted by the appearance of the undead. She shook loose the chain of the mourning star and swung it. Nerwen v. Hel's guard - mourning star

How many cars can one PF motor actually pull?
Chromeknight replied to PaddMadd's topic in LEGO Train Tech
One receiver. Two motors. One motor and a PF switch are connected to the same output of the receiver. The second motor is connected to the switch with the switch set so that the motors travel in the same direction on the track. The motors will run at the same speed. Double motor engines are only really needed for stop/starts and curves. Along straights, a single motor engine will reach the same top speed under the same load. -
I think it's my misunderstanding of the rep system, sorry. Hinkwell then. Minstrel unlocked!
-
Nerwen nods in polite acceptance of Samuel's offer. Since both are available, Nerwen will take both Hinckwell and Shadeaux rep.
-
Nerwen bows slightly to Issac. you will need to look toward your security arrangements if the Pongcanae have returned. I wish you well. Speaking to Purpearl she says Thank you. Lead on.

You are not the only on who knows the weak points of the body. Nerwen v. Chief - mourning star Perhaps try that again Master Shawe? Shawe v. Chief - sword, barbarian

Nerwen hefts her shield and swings her mace at the second swordspog. Nerwen v. Swordspog B - mourning star Nice to have you along again Shawe. Perhaps you might take that chief down a peg or two. Show him how barbaric you can be when needed. Suggested action Shawe Shawe v. Chief - sword, mimic barbarian

How many cars can one PF motor actually pull?
Chromeknight replied to PaddMadd's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I have pulled train sets that are up to 15 cars long with one PF motor engine. The issue was then drag through curves not pulling power. For completeness I should say my rolling stock is 16-long 2-axle light freight wagons (panelled box cars, open wagons and flats). And the top speed was slowed with that many (which is prototypical anyway!) I also had a loco with two PF motors. It could pull 6 7740-style 2-bogie 28-stud cars without breaking a sweat (or significant corner slowing) -
see edit above to clarify acceptance of Hinkwell rep if achieved. As you might expect, they denied all wrong doing. We will watch the warehouse tonight. If no one shows, clearly they will have been tipped off and we will know who is responsible. If the thieves do show we can catch them in the act.

Nodding politely in acceptance to the Hinkwells, Nerwen follows Lady Berthadhiell out.

Nerwen shrugs I am happy to take your task, but for two issues. First, we are in town persuing the Armoured Reaper, a mercenary currently in the employ of Lord Chauncy. Shawe was going to guide us to her once we had sorted out the granary issue. I do not think he would be as accommodating if we assisted you also. Secondly, where would we start in clearing your name? If you, who have been in town learning it's secrets do not have a lead and profess to have no clue, how would we fare?
-
Nerwen smiles gently, sitting opposite Henry and sipping tea. you are right, we are not the town watch. We are in R'kilf on other business, but I know some of the leaders here, having been in the party that removed the Mopag and Pongcanae and secured the agreement between the elves and the Shadeaux. Clearly you are not personally responsible for the thefts, inter-house conflict is rarely that open. But you are here. Which suggests you have been cultivating agents here to weaken the Shadeaux control of the town. I believe you when you say you had no knowledge of it until we asked, it is simplicity itself to act at arms remove. But information is power, I expect, being an individual with some power that you could easily find out who was responsible, if you do not know already. As an act of good faith, I will give you the information you asked for. We came here, directed by the Shawes, yes. But none of us were so naive as to believe he was being completely honest with us regarding the matter. Hence our reluctance to fight, despite our breaking into your rooms. So, what say you? Will you give us a name in return. The name of those responsible for the thefts?
-
Decided? Nerwen says calmly, I have decided nothing and as always, was following you. Speaking to Henry Hinkwell she addresses him diplomatically We apologise, my Lord, for intruding. You are right. You have no need to answer wild accusations. Perhaps, before we go, you might favour us with some words to take back to the citizens who asked us to come and speak to you. I know your house and that if the Shawes are not in open conflict and that you are free to travel wherever you choose. Still it seems odd that you would linger in a place that is clearly under the benefices of another house. I believe that you do not intent to cause mistrust and concern and perhaps the granery robberies are an attempt to frame you and instigate conflict. However, if you are innocent, I expect you have the resources to have been informed who is actually at fault. Give us that name to take back and we will be satisfied.
-
Nerwen addresses the vibrating party leader. Would you like me to try some diplomacy or would you prefer to skip to the kicking snakes and stabbing watchmen part of the evening?
-
Nerwen stays quiet waiting to see what effect their party leader's words would have and whether a Mage could be diplomatic.
-
Ah yes, I have taken the role of paladin since you last saw me. This is Lady Berthadhiell, the party leader. And yes, I shall assist you. Do you say it Shawe = sh-WAY or Shawe = shore?
-
Nerwen smiles warmly. Master Shawe, stars shine on our meeting. she looks at his companion. I am here once again on a quest for Heroica, though I do not lead this time. Who is your compainion? And have you seen a well armoured woman lately into town? Nerwen sees Purpearl's sharp glance at Matthias as he speaks to her through the cowl. We can speak plainly Matthias, he is indeed a friend and we ought have no difficulty finding lodging tonight. Yes Aleixis, your compass may be useful, try it.

Just gone through 3 sleepless nights with a 7month old. Now you're asking me to do it in game too? I'm all for a little realism, but I do want the game to be an escape from the every day Nerwen nods wearily. I would suggest resting and trusting to fate that we will be there in time. But you are the leader. Alexis. Can Russel borrow your electro gear? Since he can equip another artifact and that is one of the few he can use.
-
Nerwen nods in greeting to Lady Berthadhiell. It is good to see you whole. Nerwen checks over her equipment and fastens the white cloak around her shoulders since she can now use four artifacts. She heals each of the party members and drinks a tonic to replenish her ether. <Russel, you also can equip another artifact. Alexis has electro gear or Magnar's smaller axe that you can use. I recommend the latter.>
-
Nerwen smiles. And the seal, even you you did not get good use from it yet.
-
Thank you Bert. It was an honour standing beside you. If you see Purpearl, tell her we will meet her outside the Crown Gate. Turning to the others she says. Samuel, I am sorry to have mixed you up in all this. Midge, I wish you well in your bottle sales.

I think it was mostly fear for own life rather than the toughness of enemy. It doesn't matter how hard the enemy hits or ow many hits it will take to knock them down if every single round runs the risk of a player KO with no recourse. There is always more loot. XP is a fixed, drip fed resource.

Alexis, are you sure that nostrum you used on me is not defective? Can I get a ruling? Is sudden death an effect? See, Tiger Balm (Grants immunity to all effects (positive and negative) except other immunities for one battle.) vs The red death's special. Would it become, Special: Red Death – Instantly kills target. If target is immune to Instant Death, Dooms them and changes their current health to 1. Used on free hits. Against someone with balm applied?
-
Ugh, you are right. And neither will the mourning star, it is fire elemental. I need a... Nerwen pauses, then draws a length of bent metal from her satchel. Many problems can be solved by hitting something with a crowbar. All in while Samuels angels protect us. Nerwen v. Red death - bent crowbar
-
Nerwen hefts the mourning star again before sliding it into her satchel and drawing her sword. She does not look like she can be made fragile. Looking at Alexis she says, We need luck on our side, perhaps you might use that nostrum on me? Is the red death perma-lucky or just lucky? Ie. if I dropped a neutralizer, does her lucky simply pop back up? Also, did you roll for the seal of the warrior priest on Samuel? Also what have you been doing with PPJB? Has she been fighting her way out of the lockup?
