  1. First, thank you for posting those images! Second, it looks fine to me. More like brickwork than anything else really.
  2. $950 for the 2 of them isn't to bad considering how much they are going for. Just be prepared for some real expensive pieces.
  3. For anyone that DID see it, was it that bad?
  4. I am down to 29 pieces left for all 3 of my modulars. I am starting to purchase the Dark Blue Arches now. I bought 2 of them so I can get started on the Cafe Corner. I also need 1 torso left, then I would of bought all the parts to start on my Green Grocer. (And to think 2 weeks ago, I needed the parts for this one the most.) I am waiting for 7 orders or so now to come in, than I will start the construction! I can not wait!!!
  5. Love the idea of the popemobile!
  6. Care to post the pictures of the different windows? I am in the market for the train windows now and may change mine depending on what your's looks like! Thank you!
  7. Would you mind posting a picture of the back of the green grocer with the Sand Green 1 x 4's? I wound up paying 3.334 Euros per Bright Blue Brick, Arch 1 x 3 x 2. I agree that if I needed more than 4, I would of been more angry with the price. One short cut I wound up doing with the cafe corner, was getting the 1 x 2 x3 panels with side supports as opposed to not having them. Again the price difference alone makes up for it. Wodanis, I feel for you with the high shipping for the smaller orders. Now that I have just 41 pieces left, it's a lot of odds and ends really. What I have started doing is looking for items that I will use to fill out the modulars. It's a bit more cost wise, but it's helping with the shipping per item! Keep on getting the pieces!
  8. I agree about August's promotions. The Hot Dog Cart is a no brainer for sure, hopefully September's sales are awesome to make up for the lackluster August.
  9. I'll let you know once my order arrives from Europe with them. Hopefully within the next few days!
  10. I remember getting this for my birthday! It was a wonderful set to play with! Thanks for the trip down memory lane with it!
  11. I hate to bump this thread again with my own reply, but I seem to have adopted it as my update progress thread! I have been left with little orders here and there, luckily I have JUST figured out how to use Bricklinks multi-item list of wanted items. This would of saved me a lot of time and money I am sure. (Growing pains of getting back into LEGO.) I am now left with 96 pieces for all 3 modulars. 50 of these are the Sand Green 1 x 8 bricks. I have been reading some other posts about others in the same situation, and I think I am going to be going down the road of using 100 Sand Green 1 x 4 bricks in their place. While this will make the item not 100% accurate, the $120.00 price difference on these parts alone makes up for it. Maybe if TLG decides to re-release the brick in the future, but for now, this will have to do. EDIT I just purchased the 100 Sand Green 1 x 4 Bricks. So I am now 46 pieces away from finishing my 3 modular project! For those keeping track at home, I need the following: (10182-1 | 18 Pieces) (10185-1 | 7 Pieces) (10190-1 | 21 Pieces) It is so close, I can almost taste it!! I just have to wait for 7 orders to come in. I am a hawk with what I ordered and checking it against my list. Some of my bricklink orders have been short, but I have been able to stay on top of it.
  12. I am in the same predicament right now with the Sand Green 1 x 8 bricks. I have already spent a nice sum with the project (it's not cheap if anyone hasn't told you yet) and I have have been on the fence if I want to spend $150.00 on 50 bricks or $31.00 on 100 bricks. I honestly have come to the realization where I can not justify spending the additional $120.00 on the bricks for something that will ultimately look almost identical. As far as the Reddish Brown slopes go, I wound up paying .96 cents per one, brand new from a seller in Europe. I was able to get a better price on everything as I was doing a bulk purchase on pieces for all 3 modulars.
  13. I do not plan to sell the model, at this point I am looking to finish it after buying parts for the last 4 months, I am getting a bit anxious! Thank you for the info about it, I will do what you suggested.
  14. *Mods, I searched for a similar thread, but could not locate one, if there is in fact one, please merge this with it.* I am currently bricklinking the Cafe Corner, Green Grocer and Market Street. I am about 95% done with 128 pieces left to go. So my question is, and the reason for this thread is to ask what the difference is between a few parts that I have left. Window 2 x 4 x 3 Frame (4132) and Window 2 x 4 x 3 Frame - Hollow Studs (60598) Besides the major price difference, what differences are there, if any? From what I can tell, it's the exact some thing? Thank you in advance! Also, I know I will need to get different pane's for the 60598 version as the 4133 pane is meant for the 4132 window.
  15. It reminds me of an art theater in town that plays the smaller movies that the corner cinema won't play. I love it.
  16. Welcome to the forum! I also went the excel spreadsheet route when I am bricklinking the Green Grocer, Cafe Corner and Market Street. A helpful hint, I found it to be useful to have one large spreadsheet with all the modulars, it helps with ordering the same parts for both sets. It make take a bit longer, but it will save in the long run.
  17. I like this a lot! You did a great job with it!
  18. I get that thing sealed right away! Going to be a nice collectible down the road.
  19. The Modulars for sure. When I saw the Town Hall, it was a must buy. I just happened to get the Grand Emporium and Fire Station while I was at it.
  20. I am going to echo what everyone else has said. I've been following this CUUSOO set for the last couple of months, and when that little image was released I was disappointed with that was going to be released. With the new info about the set, this is going to be a MUST HAVE for me. Can't wait.
  21. I am in love with the stained glass! Can you please post a close up picture of it?
  22. That is an awesome take on the mansion. It would of been awesome to get a 2 part set like Lego did with Star Wars and Jabba's palace and pit set.
  23. Full blown department store! You can always have the construction site working on the addition to it!
  24. While that Wayne Manor does sound awesome, I really don't think you are going to get that many villains all in one shot for that price point. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the iconic superhero buildings (Daily Planet, Wayne Manor, etc..) in Modular form. They would cross promote between the two brands while forcing modular people to buy superhero sets and vice versa. Win-win for everyone in my opinion.
  25. I read through the topic which led me to this one. How does one get the icons under their names like the person above me? Are they accessible after a certain point? Thank you! Edit I actually just read another topic and explained how the little image tiles are achieved. Please disregard this post! Cheers
