That would be interesting...at least it would be if they looked anything like what I imagine they would right now (Exo force hair + LOTR elves..!)!

Hey, welcome to Eurobricks :)

They're all New Zealand's currency I think

Good point! I was always puzzled over why they couldn't have just done the small river-gate wall section thing (that actually featured and was important) instead of doing a tree-wall thing. It makes sense now you've said that. Although I greatly hope that the ELVES line will have a few better designs than that- I wasn't too fond of the small low walls and the oddly shaped tree. I do hope they won't have too many bright colours in there though- I could easily live with muted tones over really bright greens, and blues and reds.

I'm glad to hear that the prices will be fairly low. Although I don't know anything about Bionicle (at all), I'll be picking up a few if the parts and the look are good (not for the story aspect- I don't know any story!).

hey! other people who really like that film!!! I haven't seen it in ages and ages, but I really liked it! From what i can remember it'd look rather good in Lego form... I need to get my hands on a copy and watch it again..!

Same! This sounds rather interesting, I find the latest Hobbit/LOTR sets rather poor and underwhelming so if there's the chance for a cheaper better fantasy theme then I'm all for it! And veen if it does turn out with the elves being more of the small, mischievous pixie like fellows, then the theme will be rather different and interesting to say the very least..! It would make sense though for LEGO to make them more LOTR styled with a blend of Castle. That way they'll be able to continue to tap in to Tolkien fans' wallets and appeal to Castle fans.

Great work!! The details are stunning! I love the smooth stud-less look everything has. The use of cheese slopes is mindbogglingly brilliant, although I think the pillars deserve a mention too- despite being quite plain looking (after all they are just wooden pillars) I really like the look they have, as you could have just used a lot of large brown support pillars, but you've gone and put in the extra effort to brick build them. It's just that extra mile than shows the dedication that's been put into this MOC. That and the historical meaning and the information provided makes this a special MOC in my mind. Please continue!

Nice! Love the simple but vibrant use of colour! I like the vehicle designs and the robot arms are good, I like the use of common construction vehicle parts and looks that have been changed slightly to look more space-y. The spaceman with the robot arms will have a few problems though- his chest is exposed to the hostile vacuum of space!!!

Wow!! Good thing you kept them, you'd have been really disappointing right now if you hadn't!! Wish I had some of those sets!

I would also like to see the wave two art there too! I am very fond of the comic style and the artwork used in the IFB line, it looks great. It would have been rather interesting to see a Wolverine figure, although he'd probably have consisted of a lot of yellow with some oversized paw-hands with claws (not very interesting really). Although, he could well have come with a few dark blue pieces (the comic Wolverine had blue on him right?) which would have been very nice.

6th Anniversary REVIEW: 30216 Laketown Guard
Mutant Orc replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I knew I wanted this polybag as soon as I saw it, and now I'm even more frustrated I can't get it..! The picture with the Master of Laketown really highlights my need to get another guard, it's not as good having just the one. Thanks for the review.- 5 replies

I don't see how any politics interfere with this video, it wasn't screaming 'vote for this particular party' at all. As long as no particular party is mentioned/blamed/attributed with any of this I personally believe its all OK. It was a good display of facts and it also displays the versatile nature of Lego and how it can be used to illustrate what could be a lot of dense, confusing info into an easy and visual way to display/transfer knowledge and information to a broader audience. Also Eurobricks has a few more diverse areas that don't always have a lot to do with Lego, like some of the things found in the Community section (e.g. 'The What I did today' thread), so the '2%' that was to do with Lego is more than valid enough to earn a spot here in my mind. I thought it was a very good video. Thanks for sharing 'talos'.

Very nice! It has a nice cartoon-y look to it, I like it!

Hah hah! The expression on Deadpool's face works so well for that situation and for what he's saying.

Hrm, I'll doubt they'll introduce new HEROES. They already have quite a few, and they have some rather ignored ones e.g. Stringer. They seem to have cut down on HEROES not increased. And LEGO will be appealing more to boys I think with these rather action heavy, 'fighting' sets, so it's unlikely they'll include more females. Normally it's only one/two a theme isn't it?? Unless they change the gender ratios in every theme I don't think we'll see change in just this one area. It could happen some time in the mid future though. Anyway, I'm sure character speculation doesn't belong in this topic! On a more relevant note, I recently received the Queen Beast set. It's a decent set actually, but there are a few flaws with it (that the box art does nothing to detract from), but overall I think it's worth purchasing. I wrote out my opinions in a longer form for a Brickset review, it hasn't been uploaded properly onto the site yet, but this is a link to the page where it can be viewed for now- http://brickset.com/reviews/47913.

Interesting! I'd never had spotted that, I haven't read those bios before. It's an interesting detail although slightly strange; most creatures that have a matriarchal society only have one or two females, the drones are male, with just the one ruling female. That's the way it works with ants and bees isn't it?? Although, the beasts aren't proper insects or reptiles or anything really. So I suppose we can't flaw the multiple females. Quite nice that the genders are balanced, although aside from the Queen, everyone could have been 'its'.

I'm flabbergasted!!! This is spectacular, it's amazing! It's so very, very clever!!
