  1. Mr. Jackson
  2. Of course you're right. I just meant some countries not even getting the final wave due to poor sales. It makes it look as though an original theme can't make it without a TV show, color-coded factions, etc--basically becoming a franchise rather than an ongoing theme a la Adventurers or something. </nostalgic rambling>
  3. , BAMF,
  4. I don't know Boston, but the closest actual Lego store looks like it's in Braintree? But look for big Target stores, they usually have the best selection for price, maybe Walmart. Toys R Us will have great selection but sometimes marks up prices. Remember that sales tax will add about 10% to the listed price, and unlike VAT in some countries it isn't refundable when you leave.
  5. She's working it, whatever it is
  6. Sad sign for those of us who still love un-licensed, adventure-type themes.
  7. I wonder if the Halloween set was not allowed to repeat figures or pieces from the S14 minifig series? oh well. Just noticed that the older lady's torso in the Thanksgiving set has an interesting laced-back print.
  8. Missing the Haunted House.
  9. wept.
  10. If it's like previous years' promo sets, it'll be something like 100-150 pieces. So either a verrrry small house or a corner of one, like the elves' workshop from last year?
  11. The constraction figures are reminding me of jellybeans. But I'm less worried about jellybeans than mechanical lions and helicopters.
  12. Would Brick Bounty be your second BB, or just your second Lego pirate ship? If the former I'd say go Joker Land or Operations Base, but if you're into pirates and your other ship is different, go with the pirate ship if that's what you're leaning toward anyhow!
  13. I'm not buying anything I'm being very good. I'm not buying anything I'm being very good. I'm not buying anything I'm being very good. UPDATE: Okay some parts for Vampyre Castle mods.
  14. polish
  15. The sorta jarring thing about the witch costume torso is that it's one of those ones with a feminine shape printed on--not very childlike... I think I really like the Thanksgiving set though. And I'm very curious to see the gingerbread house!
  16. Wondering whether the Halloween seasonal set will look better in person, thinking it won't and I'll just get a bunch of the S14 minifigs...
  17. My solution is to take things apart and store them for a while (and occasionally sell sets that I've enjoyed but won't build again). Then I can just rotate what's on display. After a few months (years?) in storage I don't remember all the building techniques anyway and there's something satisfying and nostalgic about revisiting a favorite.
  18. Now I'm expecting something like the LEGO-movie castle set that turned into a podracer. But in yellow.
