  1. I was messing around with some pieces the other day and this is pretty much what came of it. I started with the front and built off of that, and this was also a way to use the tire well pieces because I don't use them in the rest of my city's cars. Comments and criticism welcome with more on Flickr
  2. Thanks everyone I would defiantly recommend the movie, the entire thing is amazing. You will find yourself wondering where they filmed it because the computer graphics are so real. That is basically the same pose that all the mechs in the movie have so I thought it looked nice on this one too.
  3. Some time in the near future humans have moved to space. We don't know what to expect but we will be prepared for anything. I got the inspiration for this watching Avatar but because I don't customize I didn't want to make it just like the movie because I couldn't make everything else. It's very pose-able especially the arms but it's also pretty fragile. More picks on flickr. Comments and criticism welcome.
  4. I had so many of these sets, I used to love them. Interestingly most of the figs have either retired r changed teams. I believe there are only 6 on the same teams, and that counts AI who left and came back. I always thought the faces looked weird but the Kobe one was probably the best in terms or realism.
  5. I just saw this on Flickr it's great, An inside would be great because it would be so much bigger than the tent from the outside. It would be great to see some more MOCs from the last book, like the Lovegood's house or Harry's birthday.
  6. I would try something I don't think has ever been done before. Of the top of my head I can think of a train or some sort of nature scene, but with sofew creations out there you could build just about anything and it would be original. 7. I sadly don't have any of my Indy sets constructed anymore. What makes them such great sets also makes them great parts-packs so usually I take them apart. Race for the treasure lasted the longest but I just took that one apart the other day for something I was building. It would be nice to pick up the flying wing or the other one with the two planes because I think they display better than the others.
  8. I always like passenger cars so the bandits have some rich people to hold up. I would go with the engine and tender, two passenger cars, and a caboose.
  9. What do you mean? Of course there returning if there in the new sets. I like the old skeletons better anyway so it's nice ti see them return.
  10. Nice job with the sounds The bike is under the bridge on the right, behind the wheel.
  11. I do this to all my keychains. I have more than a few hats with holes in them now.
  12. I bought 3177 Small Car and 7595 Army Men on Patrol. There both nice but Small car is one of the best cheap set's in a while. I will consider getting another one.
  13. I have always wondered do you have all of your MOCs built at the same time or do you use the pieces from old ones to make new ones?
  14. I believe that my first castle set was this one but I'm not sure, I always loved these small sets, I should try to rebuild this one.
  15. I would begin by adding baseplates to more sets, to add to the playability. Then I would reduce the box sizes, bag sizes, and number of stickers in order to lower the prices without sacrificing quality. Next I would replace large unnecessary pieces with smaller more MOC-able pieces. I would then expand the PAB selection by allot and decrease the price per piece ratio. I would also add more of the $150 sets to more themes, like licensed sets (other than Star Wars) and Train sets. I'm sure I could think of more but this would be the initial plan.
  16. Great article, this is great advice for any town builder. I personally like 4 wide cars even if there not as realistic because they don't seem to big in the streets. The only thing that I don't like about some of these is that the windshield is more than one piece, it looks unrealistic for the most part.
  17. Thanks for the help everyone. I think I'll try using the light up bricks first and save other lights as a last resort. THe 9v batterie box would work but I think it would be to big for a car, it might work for a truck though where you could put it in the storage area.
  18. Has anyone tried making head lights that light up on a minifig scale car before. I guess that LEDs would work but I was looking for a purist solution.
  19. Looks, great, there are lots of figs in this one and it's good to get another corner building.
  20. sly owl-3
  21. There's actually a group on Flickr for this here with some really good ones. The ones from Sava the Aggie are especially good and this one is my favorite.
  22. Mine is in a room about 20'x10' but my city display is (mostly) on a 3'x6' table.
  23. I know by now that if I order something from the lego store online then it takes a few days less than the projected shipping. I never check the tracking because I usually order it over the weekend and it arrives the next weekend.
  24. The trailer is attached to the cab with droid arms arms a chain so it detaches easily. I hadn't thought much about the takeoff but as it has no wheels it would have to be a VTOL ship.
  25. Looks good but i would think a 1x4 tile or one of those wedge plates would work better on the front part.
