  1. Great prizes, thanks to whoever is donating them. I can't wait to see the contest rules.
  2. This talk of using water is certainly interesting but I think it works best for the Pirate display. Kind of on topic has anyone thought about using snow in MOCs for a winter scene or something?
  3. Does this really deserve a new topic? I believe someone already pointed this out in the topic discussing this set. I would have liked something better as the torso though, maybe a winter coat?
  4. I really like the new smaller set, the colors on that one work great, but the base looks terrible. I hope that better pics will reveal a nice set for that one.
  5. I'm entering this for sure. At least there is some good news in the wake of the Pirates announcement.
  6. I usually fill something like that with red or yellow bricks because I have way to many of those but I don't think it will be to big of an issue if your tower is hollow. If you ever want to add an interior it will be helpful if you built it hollow the first time too.
  7. Signed although I don't hold much optimism.
  8. What? What happened to the imperial ship, bluecoats, ports ect.... I am stunned. Why would lego do this when themes like Powerminers, Ben 10, Space Police, and Atlantis continue? Other than city this is the most upsetting theme that could possibly end. If these sets are being outsold by others like the ones above then I have no hope for the future of the world. Not even a two year run? Looks like I'll have to pick up a brick beard bounty now instead of waiting. Well at least they warned us...
  9. This looks great I've never seen Duplo used like this, Very creative thinking here.
  10. I think this is great but in my opinion it looks more like a stand alone building than a modular one. I think a slanted roof might make it fit in better with the other modular buildings but other than that it looks great.
  11. I think that this would be the best way to continue the line. TLC hasn't had an Arctic theme in a while so maybe the Agents could move there to fight a new enemy. That would open up the oppertunity for allot more sets than another line in the same place.
  12. this looks great, I always loved this game. This also translates well to a mosaic because of the pixilation in the game, looks as good as the original.
  13. I actually like that they have minifig heads, I think is gives them a king of personality you don't usually have in this type of creation.
  14. I always loved this one. I wonder why American history like this is so overlooked in Lego? By the way the bigger pics are on hisFlickr
  15. I never noticed until now how cold that Viking face on the right looks. Good idea and well executed.
  16. I can still remember the highly pixilated version of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego my sisters had from the early 90's, and this looks spot on. Just one question didn't Waldo always carry books?
  17. Wow great job. this is certainly very detailed. I love the use of the cheese slopes on the front of the engine. Any chance for a pic of the whole train end to end?
  18. I think this one of the best building entries so far. I especially like the picnic and the red roof. Overall this is very realistic looking.
  19. Thanks Hinckley I never new that before. This thread can probably be closed now.
  20. I'm clicking from the main forum page actually so I don't see that symbol.
  21. Funny idea, reminds me of the scream extractor from Monsters Inc. Good job on the lighting, it really adds to the overall feel of the MOC. As a evil scientist I believe his next move should be to bring Billy mays back from the dead to market this.
  22. Hi guys I was just wondering if this was happening to everyone or just me. When I click on a topic with allot of replies it usually sends me to a few pages back in the topic, not the end. For instance I just clicked the SPIII rumor/pic thread (120 pages of replies) and it brought me to page 106.
  23. Other than the sports line (some people don't consider it City but I do) I used the Robo Attack set from the Agents line to wreak havoc on my city. With so many policemen and fire fighters fighting it would be no problem, and with about 20% of the population being construction workers the cleanup should be a cinch. The spiderman bridge also works pretty well in a city but it's kinda small. MMV village also works well in an old section.
  24. This still leave room for a $100 set though? I think there may be 2x2 tiles- look at the hood on the jeep, there certainly doesn't look like a break.
  25. From the title of this I figured it would be asking witch one to buy. I would save the BSB, I like the coloring on it better than the SES
