Hasn't the Technic department got some new hires anyway - Luke Cragin, and the other new guy who did the Monster Jam sets? Are they just hiring more and more designers, or have some of them been given marching orders? I do remember @Anio saying that Alfred Pedersen no longer works at TLG.

I see no reason to believe that the prelim image isn't the final set. I know some sets do differ, but not as drastically as has been suggested here.

If anything, I'd be over the moon to hear that the windscreen in the prelim image isn't the final one.

It sounds like bull$hit to me too. But time will tell. Anyway, does anyone feel that the tyre tread from 42124 would work well on the Zetros? The tyres would have to be a bit bigger though.

I'm guessing the C+ profile for this thing will have something similar to the 42124 - i.e. a racing game of some sort. I honestly don't see what else this set would warrant other than driving and gearbox settings.

There should at least be an oscillating joint between the cab and rear axles.

I just gave @efferman's cab build a proper look, and I can't believe how much more accurate it is than TLG's solution. Great stuff!

I can't make out much of anything that resembles a gearbox in the back. Plus it'd be harder to implement that because of the suspension. So I dunno what that motor is powering. The background doesn't help either.

Just looking at the image of the Zetros should clue you in.
