PF is a perfectly functional and innovative system that could be integrated in a multitude of setups such as mechanical attachments, transmissions, and pneumatic compressors. C+ is simply a gimmick designed to capitalize on screen time.
They're both Technic sets. That's basis enough for comparison. And PF is far superior in terms of customisation and flexibility. Look at 8275 and compare it to... this.
Ugh, I'm wading in again, aren't I? Sigh.
At least 42070's functions work at a decent speed. Plus it has a better gearbox and it isn't reliant on an app.
True. If the Lambo got printed parts, then throwing in a couple for this £420 set should be a given.
EDIT: Just reread your post; sorry, but even I think this approach would be logistically excessive.
Some parts, like the square panels, would not look good with printing. It would be great if the D11 logos at the top of the panels on the engine were printed, though. Same with the CAT logo on the tile atop the grill.
Not to mention the fact that there's no clutch gear to protect the motor in case of oversteer. As the model uses the 42124 C+ profile, I'm not sure whether or not that would be a factor.
