Wow....... Ok....... Most Rap and R&B artits are. I've heard a few of the newer rap artist in person, and they were absolutly horrible. Many of the new rap and R&B artits use a voice box and so in person they sound completely different. Anyways, back to Rihanna, ya, i like her music. She looked alot better when her hair was onger though.

What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
5150 Lego replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'dove to see some USC stlye vehicles. Here are a few ideas... - Hummer (Militray or civilian ) -Military tank -Chevy Corvette -Chevy Camaro -Ford Mustang -Mercades Benz Unimog -Classic Jeep (military or civilian) -Land Rover Defender 90 or 110 Detail like the new VW beetle, but with a little more function. Like sterring and suspention simuar to the real vehicle ( indapendant front and rear suspention on the Hummer, soild axles on the land rovers, Solid rear axle on the Mustang ETC..) Also,i know its already been suggjested, but i'd also like to see a modern military theme! I know this can be done, and would be very sucesfull! -
I'm really starting to dislike Massa. You know, alot ofpeople give Hamiltion grief for when he messes up, but one thing that can be said about him. When he does mess up, he takes responsiblitly for it. He doesn't blame others..... Unlike Massa. He Blamed everyone and there mother in law for why he didn't do better at the Japanese GP, and has to odasity to put direct blame on Hamiltion, and Bourday of Torro Rosso for placing where he did! He feels he did nothing wrong when spinning out Hamilton, and Blames Bourday for spinning him!!! Bourday was right when he told Massa that he needs to show a little more respect to his fellow drivers.

Good topic! For me its these.. Space... Town... Technic... Model Team.... One of my favorites as a kid... Ferrari... And IMO, the best set TLC has ever released... I'm not a Star Wars or Pirates collector so to be honest, i don't have a Favorite from those themes.

LEGO eBAY Sellers (Where do they get this stuff?)
5150 Lego replied to Badsneaker's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Start believing. While it wasn't 100+ copies, i have seen people completely clean out certina sets. One time in paticular i personally saw someone competely clean out every starwars set in the store. He literaly came in with a hand truck to take away all his merchandise. The clerk said he spent over $2,000 USD. Maybe his plan was to sell a few years down the road..Maybe it was his personal collection... Never know.. Possible?.. Yes. But very unlikely. Think about what your saying. Your claiming that somebody in the assembly line so to speak, is going to produce an extra 100 or so sets for someone without paying for them, or without TLC knowing about it? Its not like that one person is going to be able to come in and make an extra 100 sets or so by themselfs. Thats alot of man power as well as electricity that would have to be acounted for . And yes, there have been times when TLC has found older sets hiden behind crates so to speak, and they have sold them thourgh Lego.com. If they found a crate of old CAstle sets, i seriously doubt that they would either just give them away to a good friend to make profit, or just ship them to a store were a Lego store employee just hands them over to a buddy. Same would go with lego pieces. -
For me it was getting my drivers licence, so cars or reason two is what did it for me. NOt only that, but i remember going to toys-r-us and seeing the ame city/town sets at the time. NOthing in legos line really interested me. I do remeber seeing 8455 techinc backhoe in the stores, but the need to make my car(s) go faster out wayed the need for one of TLC's best sets of all time. I don't think its really a question of conpletely giving up lego. I never really gave up mine, they just weren't on the top of my priority list,or my main hobby at that time of my life. I fiddled with them from time to time, but defenatly didn't have the interest that i had prior, or currently have.

This has been one of my favorite shows. Its pointless, has no real story, and for the most part is really dumb..... But i just can't help myself from watching! Master shake is so damm funny! A little back ground, its on latenight (12:00, and 12:15 eastern time) and though is a cartoon, is geared towards adults rather than kids. Just curious if anyone else shares my craziness for this show, or have caught an episode or two

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
5150 Lego replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Good way to look into things. I just got done watching the new episode, and while i won't spoil it for you, your not far off at all. I just got done watching the new episode myself. After watching, i'm conviced that its no quicidence that Cameron was chosen to go back and protect him. You meantion Cameron and John hooking up. While i don't believe they themselfs will, i'm preety sure that sometime in the future he will have some kind of a relationship with the human girl she is based on. MAybe his wife, or girlfriend in the future. -
Ahhh. It was just luck. J/K. It sure is a shame that the reasons he wins a GP is because of his Teammates crash. Oh well, thats racing. I have to admit, Alonso drove a good race. This goes to show you that even somone that starts in 15th can still win a GP. As for Ferrari....... Ya, its called Karma, and its a real female canine. Not only one, but two instances were your fuel hose was left on. Ferrari really needs to get there act toeghter in the pit lane. Now look. No points when they really need it. As far as Kimi goes, well i suppose that could have happened to anyone. But it is funny thatit happened so late in the race. Sucks for Ferrari! One thing that puzzles me, Hamiltons first pit, somthing must have gone wrong. He should have come out in the top 5, but ended up coming out 8th i believe. They never showed his pit stop. Either way, Mclaren scored some much needed points.
-
Nahh. He's driving a Renault. Would else would you expect? Uh oh, them fight'in words! This should be a really good race. Both will be racing for there lives!
-
Qualifing is overfor the Singapore GP. Massa is on pole, Hamilton is second, and Kimi is third. At least Hamilton is on the first row! Go Mclaren!

Great mocs! I'm a huge fan of doom! My all time Favorite Video game! Your Master Mind V2 holds a strong resemblance to a Spider demon! Looks good. How about a "Pinky" moster.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !

Great show. I missed last weeks episode, so i'm a bit confused on who the pregnat girl is? Oh, and is Joh's rebelious attitude getting on anyone elses nerves? I mean i can understand that he wants to live the life of a normal kid, but it kinda gets me that for the mostpart he's putting himself in danger. -
Technic-wishes
5150 Lego replied to Musikfreak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Out of desperation to finish a project i paid $16 for two tanks a couple years ago. I have no idea what they go for now, but i'm sure its probbly double that. As for what i'd like to see for techinc... I'm in agreeance that Techinc figures would be a welcomed return. But i'd be happy if they continue to make sets that can at least fit the classic figs. (they look really good in my 4404 dirt diggers truck, as well as the 1:17 scale ferrari F430's) I agree that a more usefull use of the new power functions is a must. At this point its looking like TLC is just through PFat every set they can. It also seems that the sets that really should have PF (such as the new excavator and tellahandler) don't, and the ones that do (such has the new offroader) don't really benifit from them. -
Great article! But i have to disagree to some extent. While there might be an abundance of survalance equipment in LEGO Cityin the past couple years, one does have to remember that when it comes to survalnce and computer equipment, one (espeacailly the police) need to stay on top of technology. I still believe that the lego police force is spending my mini figs hard earned tax dollars on propper mobile command centers needed for anything from major accidents, to hostage situations. Though i have to admit, that the last mobile command center that my city purchased (7743) denenatly left somthing to be desired in terms of funtionality.

Well i guess thats were were in disagreement. I felt (as did the U.S. comentators forspeed chanel)felt he did a fantastic job making his way from 15th to 7th. At one point he was second. Never at anypoint did hedo any shaddy driving to get there either. As for the webber incendent, you called it yourself. He probbly didn't see him in his mirrors and by accident pushed him over. Could have happened to anyone.

Sorry, but i think your missing the point intirely. Like i already said, having lego based movie characters gives you the possibility to create your own adventures with your favorite movie/series characters. You obviously have no imagination if all you see is movie scences. Thats to bad. Yes, many are designed after certain scenes in the movie, but that in no way means you have to follow thoses scenes. You you be saying the same thing if in fact the indie sets were Amazon or Egyptian sets? For the most part there preety close with the exeption that they carry the indie name. And i did read your hole post. Just quoted what i needed. Try reading mine.

Don't you think your contradicting yourself a little bit? First you state that you feel the punishment is fair since he cut the chicane but that was due to Kimi pushing him off the track. Then you meantion that Hamiltion is a bad driver since he pulls off simular moves... Whitch one is it? You can't change your mind simply because it favors the driver you like/dislike. Oh, and he never blocked Webber. If its the same corner i'm thinking of, Hamilition was clearly ahead. Has he done this in the past? Of course. Its part of racing. So has every driver. You name me one driver in all of there career that hasn't. I can think of multiple ocasions were both Massa and Kimi have done so, As well as BMW drivers Kubica and many others. Is it the cleanest way to gain a postion? Absolutley not. But again, its part of racing. As is defending your line.
-
Great race! Congrats to Vettel for a well deserved win! Great Job! Hamiltion did a great job as well! Went from 15th to 7th! Atone point he was second behind vettelwith less than 2 seconds seperating them! Had the rain continued, he couild have had avery good chance of winning! But it didn't, and thats racing. either way he did great job moving up in the ranks! Ya, but he gave back that postion, and gained nothing since before Kimi ran him off the track, he was right on Kimi's rear wing. The hearing for the apeal is being heard on monday the 22nd. In the last week alot has come up that will work in McLaren's favor. So we'll see what happens. I hope they win!
-
Anything you want. Just cause you have vehicles and characters based on a movie or theme doesn't mean you have to renact it. Does a fan of Forumla 1 who collects the Ferrari lego theme have to renact every F1 race? And so what if kids do want to renact the movie? If there fans why not? By having movie based themes gives the person the ability to either renact the movie, or create there own story with there favorite characters. I think thats great!
-
ew.... Ferrari is making me sick right now! Attually, its not Ferrari, but those stupid stewards!! I really hope Mclaren wins there apeal! FIA should stand for Ferrari Insurance Angency! Sorry, my rant is over. The set really is good. Regarless of Ferrari getting speacail treatment!

Technic! I love building things that have function! City is 2nd, and Ferrari probbly comes in at 3rd!
