I've just listed all my sets on Brickset, according to their count I should have - 134+ sets - 39297+ parts (85 sets had data) - 330+ minifigures Add a lot loose bricks and figure parts to it and I have to be around 43000 pieces I acctually was a bit surprised by the amount of sets I have, they're all bought within the past year.. Now I know Bricklink, I probably won't buy as much sets anymore. Good for my wallet!

One thing is for sure, about 5.000.000 years from now this tiny beautifull globe will be gone anyway, when our precious sun decides to die. It will take gigantic proportions before it shrinks and implodes (supernova), the sun will get as big as it would swallow (burn) all planets in the entire solarsystem as it grows. You would be 'save' on Pluto tho as that will be the only 'planet' left in this solarsystem to survive from this phenomenon. My guess is we won't even make it that far, as mankind is perfectly capable of destroying earth and every living creature known + there's something like 'dangerzones' we (the earth) have to pass through from time to time. It are asteroidbelts that lay on our path through space. Unluckey that time is VERY close. Remember what happened with the Dinoaurs 60 milion years ago afterall..

Well yeah, this is a rare event for me too! BTW, link to brickshelf gallery added

Revisiting old topics (Bumping)
Perterz replied to Tom_castlefan's topic in Forum Information and Help
Reviving old threads can be good as if it is relative to the subject. It's better then starting a new thread when there already is one about it. It's annoying with performing searches. I like to get 1 decent thread in my during my search which can answer my questions, if not I could respond or ask within that given thread. In that sense it must be a goood thing or at least acceptable. Reviving a thread with spam or useless information could be a bad thing. -
Thanks a lot, indeed the Troll Kings head was used for this reason! Thanks, Dansche? What's Dansche? I believe I'm not with you here?! Thanks man, this MOC indeed was made with the Community Build in mind, a tester let's say. I'm glad you like it aswell! Thanks for the comments people! I'm glad the little extra details get noticed!

I guess we all came through this stage of collecting. I, for one, was pulled back into Lego due to that Cafe Corner. Ever since then I've been collecting all sets I found 'great to display', various themes were included. But if you check the date I registered here you can imagine I quickly caught myself going to far + I started MOC'ing.. This brought me to the point to draw priorities. Nowadays I don't collect sets anymore (except for the modular line). I sold every set I found less attractive in parts for the MOC's I tend to make, nowadays I go through Bricklink just to buy the parts I need. I only buy sets for parts now so my criteria for buying are different and I managed to control my buying drastically. It's more satisfying aswell since you only buy what you need or will use. I do regret selling my Rogue Shadow tho but that's the only one.

A theory behind the large box sizes
Perterz replied to HumanPackMule's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That reminds me when I got Market Street Delivered, I was deeply surprised by it's box! Small but heavy, fully loaded with bags! I wish all their boxes were like this. Thing is, selling goods to kids or adults is totally different. Left alone selling the same product to both.. Kids are impulsive and have this odd (but logical) thinking. Adults don't have to be convinced of the product by the box, we already know what to expect since we shop differently. Anyway I got used to the oversized boxes by now, I still find it a shame/waste but I realise nothing will change. -
I even had 1 of each?! A snew short one (a lot better imo) and an older long cap. I still do not know exactly why I bought this set since it wouldn't fit the modular buildings of TLG but I found it to be rather original, at least since a long period and a nice reminder of my classic town set up I used to have as a child. Deffinatly the most appealing set of the new City line imo. I gave it a 3 since there are a couple small buggers which are already mentionned.

Fantastic figure! The ripped open skull is just fabulous, great work! How do you attach a skeletonarm to a normal minifig torso?! Glued or special trick?

WOW that's brilliant! The atmosphere and all (clever!) little details are really spot-on. Very intresting techniques and bricks you choose! I've seen enough MOCs from you by now to say I became to like your way of doing things, great style. Creative and recognisable
-
Yeah that's a pretty neat print, still would have been better if it sunk in a beautifull moonlandscape :) It sure is something different
-
Thanks for the input! About those weird details: there's actually no real explenation for trees growing out the tower, I was looking for a natural look while it became a little surreal I guess. And I just liked the horns Good remarkes tho! I already wondered why it hadn't been asked yet :) These photographing tips I got here really have payed off already! I happened to complete a new MOC erarlier today and I'm very satisfied with the pictures I took from it. The image in my sig links to the new MOC/photo's for those who're intrested. Thanks again for your usefull input people, makes this forumboard about perfect..

Speckle Black-Silver Wheel Wagon Viking with 12 holes
Perterz replied to DarthPineapple's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yep I've noticed this before aswell. I don't really mind since the difference is pretty minor in my case. Yours seem to be a lot more different to each other. Same goes with other silver speckled pieces like helmets or these: -
Hey that's not bad man, all the bits and gripes make it lovely detailed, not to much. Shape might be a bit weird for me as I intend to imagine a langer tail attached to it. I lol'ed with the steeringwheels, creative :)

I'm on a roll I guess.. After a 5 hour Legorush I'm glad to present you my latest MOC, I'm even feeling it might be my best diorama yet. Also, i've tried to improve my pictures, thanks to I Scream Clone & Sir Dillon I'll let the images speak for themselves. And last but not least, the cast.. edit: brickshelf gallery I hope you liked it, any critic or thought is appreciated! Cheers, Kevin.

Like this I would say Minifigure parts and Castle parts..

That's a fairly nice collection you got there. I didn't know about these Modulex bricks tho, they're kinda cute! Do you have any more info on them? Must be worth lots of cash aswell. Thanks for the share
-
That sure does helps a lot, thanks! I'll certainly try it out for the sake off improving my photo's. I've noticed the white backgrounds before but now I have a decent look on what's been used for it. Funny how I didn't think off using a tripod before *slaps head*, that should be a must for me.. The one you showed looks so cute! Innovatieve. Thanks again.

Thanks! I'm really glad you guys are liking it so far! I was very confident by this ropebridge in a way, it came out exactly like I wanted which not always seems to be the case.. BTW, please somebody teach me how to photograph Lego MOC's! I feel I just fail most of the time to let the detail come out like I want + I hate the fact I basically never can hold my hands steady.. Any more thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

First off, thanks for doing this! Now on to what I have in mind for this project: Setting/year A distant future, max 100 years from the present. Mankind might have left the Earth for good by then. It would get too spacy IMO. Cause I'm more leaning towards a fatal disaster created by mankind or even natural other than a huge war, albeit involving aliens. Area Small town citycenter in a natural area. It could allow to create dead greenery, desert-alike with dead plants. The green lkandscape could now be a tan landscape with brown scattering. I have a crapload of normal tan bricks and plates to create landscapes (and I find that a very important addition to MOC) Buildings Lots of posibilities here, ruins, lots of ruins. New buildings were build up using any resources provided. People Normal survivors trying to build up a new city/home. Some Piraty rebels taking profit from the situation and trying to take control of this new world. I also have no problems with mutants and cyborgs and things like that. Scenes & features - Lots off recycling and new uses for odd parts - Lots off trashed elements and chaotic order - Trades - A gatehouse defending the new city in progress from anything with other intentions. - Survivors in search for tools they need - An ambush/battle scene against mutants - A meeting in the middle of a ruined city square where survivors are trying to agree on what to do next - Infiltrating mutants - Training field for survivors to become a little more confident went they face mutants ... Colorsheme - Tan, the surface color - Brown, landmarkes, wooden constructions and all - Bley for buildings and ruins - Black, always looks good as an additional color, also maybe for roads or what's left of them - Dark blue/green/red maybe for detail fillers. I'll come back as I think of more!

That postoffice has so much charm! Really well executed. Great interiors aswell! Looking forward to the new buildings..

20% minifigure parts (heads/headgear, torsos, legs) 20% various small speciality pieces and rare elements (like food, animals but also speciality bricks, clips, hinges.. Or 15%-5% if you take 5% for speciality bricks on their own..) 15% accesoires (tools, various weapons, backpacks, shields and armor..) 15% tiles 10% slopes 10% bricks 5% plates 5% windows/doors/wheels/tires Preferably some more pieces in dark blue/red/green/tan/brown

Prices of Market Street are rising in my direct neighbourhood. The set used to sell for €99,95 about 2 weeks ago, now its €129,95 and even saw it already priced €139,99.. Luckely I bought mine just in time!

Very impressive MOC, I enjoy looking at a beautiful large ship from time to time. My mother has this thing with sailers while I'm deeply impressed by massive ships. My grandfather used to work in the docks. Anyway your ship looks very good, well constructed, especially the frontbow. Also the colorsheme and execution is spot-on and I'm really in with this somehow: Only bug for me is that I personally prefer a tiled finish, does it have interior? Would love to see it! Welcome to the forum aswell, it seems to catch a lot off people
