  1. I find Tower Raid, the knight and orc impulses, drawbridge defense, medieval market village and Kings castle seige extremely intresting! Even the Dwarves Mine has a great variety of needed bricks Tower Raid is a pretty cheap set for a great variety of usefull parts, lots of stone, wood, figs and special elemants like doors and windows, the big seige wheels, deffinatly 1 of my favorites. Just like the drawbridge defense, I got 2 already and planning to buy more. The set has usefull basic bricks and lots, lots of arches in many different sizes. There are also very intresting figs in this set, king, queen and jester with 2 faces. I would recommend the Market Village for special elements to add in dioramas, it also contains an awefull lot of very small but extremely usefull pieces and exclusive figs! The Kings Castle Siege set is a must for burps, basic grey bricks and dark green plates as a base for the natural element. Same with the Dwarves Mine.. Buy a couple of these plus a couple of knights impulses and you're set for creating several castles and historic mocs. Make sure you get yourself some grass pieces and leaves aswell. Besides those themed sets I buy every other set that has a lot of the needed pieces, mainly Pirates and Indiana Jones. Also SatrWars is good for slopes, tho I bought my slopes at bricklink. Bricklink is highly recommendable because you can buy exactly what you want, whatever or how many you need. Enjoy! edit: spelling
  2. wow great vehicles, a big heads up for doing both post AND pre! These really fit in well in your diorama. The first 21 are my absolute favorietes, they look excellent in both era's. Great work.
  3. That's really impressive, I never get bored of these beautifull castles and cliffs, All those details and little scenes are well executed. I really enjoyed looking through the gelleries!
  4. Your price, sir? The structure, design, details (especially curtains for some reason), colors really are mindblowing
  5. Damn that's incredibly intresting to look at! I love it even more when I saw it were all seperate modules, all of them look like how they're supposed to look. I'll probably spend some of my future lifetime just looking at your MOC, very inspiring to say the least!
  6. Yes, that makes sense, very intresting! Thanks for the share!
  7. Those are stickers I guess? Would love to see printed pieces!
  8. Well I was actually looking for the Lego model when I opened this topic. After a minute it slipped in my mind, simply perfect! It really looks like the real thing, I still haven't figured out yet how you did it. Really clever and unique. Also, congrats with the victory! There were a couple other interesting entrees like the Eifel Tower, Taj Mahal, sweet.
  9. Earth to Tom - did you know there's another world out there! America is just a glimps of the world, it even doesn't cover up half the space than the seas and oceans do! Did you know we are aware of the existance of Southpark, Garfield, Superman? Sidenote: don't take this personnal, I was just amazed by that sentence and I'm in a pretty good mood to make (stupid) jokes It would be nice to have these Simpsons figures as Lego figs to collect but that's where it ends. edit: spelling, again..
  10. I'm European and I also hate it but why complaining on Lego being more expensive here while everything else is aswell (compare gas prices for example...)?! It's just the way it is, it's economics. Makes me wonder tho, what's the avarage wage in the US per month? edit: spelling..
  11. My order arrived today: 1x 7097 Trolls Fortress 2x 7079 Drawbridge Defense 1x 7078 Kings Charriot Owke, I always end up with more than planned, 7078 was bought for the sake of completing the collection and an extra 7079 because of its fair amount of very usefull castle-building bricks. Yes, I'm happy
  12. I don't get how zombie is Science Fiction but I guess Post-Apoc could hold zombies and therefor are a perfect match in here. I really like you've included Post-Apoc in the Sci-Fi theme!
  13. I really like both but they don't look good mixed together. However I like the flesh tones, I don't want them to take over the original yellow faces we've always had. That would kill the figs IMHO (like stated above, imagine the Simpsons all of a sudden in flesh tone, or a dark skin...) Yellow is how they are, how they always have been and how they always will be. I really like the yellow universal minifigs, especially now they have emotional expressions nowadays(ever seen it during my childhood)! I had a hard time voting but in the end went for straight yellow!
  14. Damn those are some very good vehicles, do you have more detailed photo's showing the dark bley groundvehicles? I really like to see more off them :) good job! And that army is not that small, they're pretty mobile, do they have a base? edit: spelling..
  15. That's a great helicopter, flawless design. I just would've tiled it but that's more personal preference I guess. The helipad on the HQ looks really good aswell, I'm looking forward to see the rest of the base.
  16. Eum.. Well eum, WOW I'm pretty much speechless, can't believe I've missed this magnificent display 'till now. The detail is intense! Great buildingtechniques, very inspiring to say the least! It's like art
  17. Wow pretty realistic, really digging the legs. I'm not that sure on his arms tho. How did you made the head bow? Is there a special trick behind it or is it just balancing the head on the torso and snapping a pic at the right moment?!
  18. Firts off I haven't read the whole thread, just the first post. Well I would encourage TLC to make more own themes and sets. I really do not feel the need to replay movies with my Lego, I 'd rather watch the movie. Plus, licensed themes have overpriced sets. I do like the current Indiana Jones and some StarWars licenses tho, mainly for the intresting parts they often have. Give me something Lego created themselves as that's the point of Lego, building beyond your imagination and not just replicating some movie?! I do believe for children it could be very plesant to have licensed Lego.
  19. Like most of you, yes I do align those 1x1 pieces, deffinatly tiles, unless it's chaos I want. Also do I try to hide the moldingmarks, and fingerprints. Honestly, it really doesn't feel good when 1x1 tiles aren't aligned, I HAVE TO align them. It's almost kinda neurotic for christ sake... Remarkably, I do have this perfectionistic feeling with everything in my life but the creative energy I need for all my hobbies (I draw, make music, make pixelart etc...) is born in a total chaos. The total chaos inside my head and my workspot. Anyway a finished project of mine regardless in which faction of my hobbies it's made, it just has to be EXACTLY as I want it to be or it ain't done and I could start all over anytime. This sometimes gets annoying because it slows down the process.
  20. Woot I've assembled mine! I've to say that it was even better than I thought, perfect parts, epic minifigs. I'm buying me a second one for the heck of it later..

    Hot Rod

Thanks again for your kind words!

    Hot Rod

I'm glad you like it and I'm surpriced somebody actually knows the difference between a RatRod and HotRod! You're actually right about this beeing more ratrod than hotrod! Anyway since I'm also glad about this creation, I'll probably make more. Thanks for the input so far!

    Hot Rod

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted something, left alone a MOC. I'm currently buzzy with my Medieval layout but yesterday I was inspired to make something I really like in real life, a HotRod. I took the engine from the 'Custom Car Garage' set, slightly modified tho. I'll probably make my own engine blocks soon enough. I'm very pleased with the outcome, know that this is my first Lego car in 15 years or so.. I would've done it in green with tan instead of dark bley with white but I simply do not own the needed pieces in the wanted colors. I know it would've appealed even better in those colors Any thoughts are appreciated! Greetings, Kevin.
  24. It's available in Belgian SatH also, €50.. The set really appeals to me at this moment and is a plesant surprice, I'll look closer into it before buying tho. Let's say it's a possible 'must buy' for me at this very moment.
  25. I still have 3 of those sealed in their box... I also love tan! If you're intrested, mail me ;) I also can get exactly the pieces you need but that seems to be rather expensive.. €50 for 250 pieces of both (is 500 in total he) seems like the cheapest I can do at this moment. On the other hand, tan is a pretty rare color so it actually might be reasonable.. Buying the house might even be more expensive judging you only need those specific parts. Tan 1x1 round bricks are not included in the set... Just think about it and let know the verdict ;)
