Merry Christmas to all you Kiwi Lego fans. Hope we all pick up some Lego bargains at one of the Boxing Day sale!! I got all the sets I wanted this year but if I find some BP cheap then I can always do with a few more Clone Troopers.
-
Never ceases to amaze me what people will try to sell things for but what is even more incredible is that there's some people who will actually pay the price. I won't be surprise if the first 2010 set to go on sale in NZ will be on trademe but it will be for some crazy markup. I just hope that some 2010 sets will appear in time for Boxing Day sale.

I saw it this morning when I got up and thought I'll put it on EB but you beat me to it. What time do get up or go to sleep CommanderFox. Here I was thinking its not quite 7am yet and its early. Wish I had the money for it.

Nice MOC. Tagging xmas deco on an existing set may look easy but you still got to execute it well and not go overboard. You managed to do that.
-
I agree with the comments before mine. More xmas deco will be useful ... especially on the Sandcrawler. The story is an imaginative one and I like Santa 3PO.
-
Nice ... not much required to xmasfied this but u still managed to add a few nice touches.
-
Very clever and well done. The colour scheme is great and the xmas lights are a very nice touch. I like your work.

Thanks for this review of a set I been waiting a long time for. Fell in love with the Tie Defender since first encountering it in the old PC game Tie Fighter (I might be giving away something about my age?). Anyway, I'm glad it can sit on the wings and isn't flimsy. Definitely will get one ... maybe even two.

20% off Lego at Warehouse until Sunday. Wouldn't it be nice if the 2010 sets hit the shelf before Sunday.

REVIEW: Atlantis 8061: Gateway of the Squid
Fumoffu replied to yellost's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for a good review. I'm not sold on this set yet. The other Atlantis sets look more appealing to me. -
I hope they are. Let us know once you know. Starting to get anxious with all the pics coming out, reviews and people talking about buying the 2010 sets. I need to get some to join in the fun!!

Very nice MOC. Looks very close to the real thing. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks KimT for the pics. To my mind the second wave is much better than the first ... the wait is not going to be easy. The minifigures complement in the second wave are just awesome. Will have to offload some of the extra CW Anakins ... not sure how many Anakins you really need. I quite like the box design for the second wave. Very nice.

Very funny and clever. I like it. I like the way you implemented the shuttle & ramp too.
-
Nice MOC. I like it. If you have a Santa minifigure then the pilot can be Santa and we can say this is what Santa uses to get around in the Star Wars universe ... rather than reindeers.

Thanks for the review. After seeing the photo of the goggle in the down position I think I'll be keeping mine in the up position. I now think TLG should have included some skiis in this set!!

Never say never. I wonder if Lucas have much say in what set Lego releases. Maybe its compulsory to release one EU set to support the release of TFU2 to help the game's publicity.

Thanks for a good review. Definitely going to get this set. Let's hope we will see it in NZ before Xmas. Can't wait!!

The Toyworld at Manukau is having a 25% off sale this weekend. I picked up an Emerald Night for $150. Didn't spot any 2010 Lego yet but it seem like they are starting to appear in the US. I thought seeing how we got the second wave of Star Wars and IJ early this year us Kiwi might get the 2010 sets early too but no such luck. The Imperial Flagship is also up on Shop@Home for $300. Cheaper than I expected so let's hope Toyworld will bring it in at some stage so that I can pick it up during one of their 20% or more sale.

No price information in the catalog. That pic is everything there is in the catalog about the Swamp Speeder. There's pics of the other Jan 2010 sets but I didn't scan them since there's already better pics of those sets (eg Freeco, BPs, ARC 170 and Tie Defender). Personally I think it will be priced similar to the Pirate Tank. Both the Swamp Speeder & Pirate Tank are exclusives and the box seem to be of similar size.

Finally digged up the old scanner from storage. Here is a better photo of the Swamp Speeder. Sorry I spelt it wrong. It is a Swamp Speeder, not Swarm. I suffered from making the mistake of rushing to print without doing a better job of editing. This is the NZ/Aust edition of the catalogue and the Green and Red stars usually mean this is exclusive to one store. In NZ we're talking about either Kmart, Warehouse, Farmers or Toyworld. I hope this scan can clear up some of the speculation so far.

My Lego magazine arrived today with the 2010 catalogue. The interesting thing for me is the Republic Swarm Speeder (set 8091). I'm not sure I seen this one mentioned yet and I apologise if it had been mentioned. I tried searching but the search didn't come up with anything. Now I just need to find a scanner so that I can scan a better photo of it. It comes with a SBD, 2 BD, a Phase 2 Clone and a Jedi that I don't know.

Good spotting. Either there's some sort of time travel going on or maybe the Empire had some old equipment deployed on Hoth.
-
Signed. I didn't get enough of HP last time and will love the opportunity to get more. There's plenty of material out there for more sets so come on!! Bring back HP.

Nice MOC and I agree that Obi-wan visiting with gift is a very clever touch. What's in the box? A toy lightsaber? Or maybe some Lego Star Wars!!
